We are the loyalest.....football supporters....the world.....has ever had. Apart from getting a few insults, I'm actually enjoying the forum. There is a negative mentality running through the club and it IS the fans. At Lazio, Sven brought in a mind coach to help the club BELIEVE it could succeed. It won it's first title in 20 years or so. You can think I'm a c*nt, I'm sure I'll get over it, but I'm a fan and I think there is a negative impact on the club with all the moaning. Last year Boumsong was a revelation, now he's a donkey. If Jenas goes to Arsenal I bet anything he'll be great. The players at Newcastle are excellent. I'm not saying I wouldn't have preferred Martin O'Neill or Arsene Wenger but Souey is who we have. He has won LOT OF TROPHIES including one at Blackburn. Fuck me I'd settle for a Worthington cup. It would make us believe we could win again.

Most problems tend to disappear when things are going well. ManU fans were saying their club is fucked but to most outside fans, it clearly isn't. A few good results and a bit of luck are what we need. Besides which, I can't see Freddy going, and if we sack Souness, we'll only get some dude saying it was Souey's fault for 9 months. If you're going to sack a manager, do it at the END of a season, not the start.

That happens all the time in life though. Why should football be any different. I'm not doing everything I thought I'd be doing when I was a teenager, but you adapt and make the best of it. It's all about playing your hand well, not complaining about your cards. Maybe because we miss out on Anelka, we get Owen, or if we miss out on Owen, we unearth some gem who costs fuck all who noone else wanted. Every star was once an unknown (Arsene Wenger being the embodiment of that)

The fans ONLY go because there is a decent team to watch. They'd soon bugger off if there was the kind of fayre that Sunderland get to watch. I don't think we should kid ourselves that our fans are any different. The club is being run well.
