I think its worrying that Shola is 24 and we are still talking about his potential, whereas at his age he should be in the form of his life. He has scored a few goals recently but that has hidden poor performances and the goals have mostly came against poor defensive performances by the opposition. Some of the sitters he has missed in recent games is not good enough for a championship striker never mind a premiership one

Its always been obvious he has most of the attributes of a top defender, although unfortunately he lacks the most important one, good concentration. And bad concentration can make even otherwise world class defenders a liability.

Most lasses who go to games talk shite but some of them know a lot about football. I sit next to a 70+ year old woman who has been going to games for years, joins in with every song and makes it to every home game. The fact that the FA are considering McClaren shows how clueless they are. Its up there with when they gave Sven the huge pay rise for doing a poor job. All they want is a arse licking 'yes man' anyway, and McClaren certainly suits that role
