1. Is he not suggesting money has been piled on Hitzfeld and that there's now a concerted effort to get him in so they get payed out? ...and Hoddle was just a typo on F365. 97287 TBH I dont have a great idea how these things work, but if money was being piled on the the market for Hizfeld, betting would be suspended and often the bookies would come out with the reasons why ie. Scolari got a five grand bet off some bloke in Scotland and Coleman got backed from Cardiff and then soon after in London. Hitzfelds odds have never dropped as sharply which suggests a steady stream of smaller bets but no high bets being built and no Syndicate betting. As for Hoddle... http://www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=9556
2. I'm being thick here. What good would it do for a betting syndicate to just bring down the odds on certain managers? It has happened a few times over the past few weeks that rumours have flashed around for Coleman and Hoddle etc and while Hoddle was a joke put around by Wolves fans and I think others like Coleman are probably just bookies trying to get easy money off people, how would it help a syndicate to very slowly bring Hitzfelds odds down? There has been no reports of big four figure bets on him like there have been with O'Niell and Scolari so what the hell would they win if they did manage to persude FS? The fat man is freaking paranoid.
3. But surely you cannot just wrongly attribute quotes like these? "It is highly organised and designed to make people a lot of money. "There was even a 'leaked' full colour brochure doing the rounds in Newcastle which laid out Ottmar Hitzfeld's CV and his record as a manager. "It's amazing the lengths people will go to to start a rumour which means they can bet for or against a certain person getting the job. "But I can state here and now that there has been no approach to Hitzfeld and there are no plans to approach him. Unless there is some betting syndicate infiltrating Sky Sports, Shepherd said all that and is thicker than I could have ever imagined. I bet light bends around the arrogant steak juggler.
4. ? Who brought N-O to the table? I don't give a shit about N-O or your obsession with them, my criticism was simply aimed at this forum seemingly being based around taking the piss out of people.
5. I've got my fingers crossed Kenny D doesn't start 96604 Bless tbh.
6. Jesus wept this forum is a bitter inbred joke tbh.
7. 3-5-2 is an extremely versatile formation and one which Bobby was wrong to discard due to fans who had neither the wit nor the patience to see how it could be used to devastating effect (seen for much of one of its rare outings against Man City). My God, our weakest areas are at left back and right back and with 3-5-2 we simply don't have to play them! It is the perfect formation for our present squad and along with myself I hope I can count on many of you to write to Souness and his staff stating as such. Do you think it's worth writing to my M.P too, or think that Alan Oliver might take up the cause? I think he might you know, a pretty sensible and selfless fella all told.
8. There is a furtive excitement going on at the moment that would challenge the look on my dogs mug when faced with a field of alluring trouser legs. Despite being somewhat scrappy we are now world beaters, and I fully expect us to be on the verge of going down again as soon as we suffer our next defeat. Extraordinarily exaggerated sense of reality so, err... I suppose you could say there appears to be something strange in the water over on N-O, yes.
9. I'll ask you seeing that Leazes isn't answering it. When will you drop the whole "Bellamy" subject? 39615 When the last member of this board finally drops dead of course! Seriously...well from my point of view it will ultimately get boring as any topic does eventually if contiunally recycled to the point of infinite. But the quickest way i suspect would be for nobody to post any more threads that have a go at him, his personality or his performances because if that happens then other people will defend him. I know i haven't and never will start a thread about him if he scores goals, plays well or if say Hughes says what a great bloke he is as theres no need, and i don't think Leazes especially starts them so much as joining ones already there. So i think the quickest way to end it is no threads slagging him off started and no threads mentioning his goals etc. started. 39618 Agreed there Papa, and while I also say that the arguement will continue until suitable and similarly priced replacements are found, it would still niggle with me that we could and possibly should still have Bellamy to call on as well. Just wish Ozzie on the Newcastle Online boards could take up your suggestion to stop bringing him up. Whoo boy, talk about shit stirring.
10. If I was Souness, why yes, absolutely! Preferably alongside Dyer at the heart of defence with Faye in the lone striker role. /"Looking through the eyes of Souness" would make a pretty trippy and unerving film.
11. He's right though isn't he? As for us paying money and loaning out Milner for a player in decline the last time he was here, I dont know, I hate to see many of our young/young English players go out unlikely to return. Souness' quote about 'getting players in for the short term to get success because otherwise I'm out' keeps ringing around my head as well as the obvious worry that all these loans are crippling further an already paper thin squad. Still got to love the little fella and his magical trumpet.
12. If we can get confirmation then you're in the hat, all depends on what anyone else has come up with. 24861 Can I have a witness? Well I'm happy to confirm it by mine own sweet ears. Well done Snakehips. The way the put it across though made it sound like they had only just ordered the letters, not that they were ordered before he signed sadly. Ah well, hope you get a nice prize fella.
13. Such a lack of joi de vivre Alex! "Fuck me gently" has a certain ring to it, shows a depth of love for Owen that even I shy away from.
14. My contribution... To the tune of "When the saints go marching in". Owen Scores goals, Owen scores goals, Owen score goals in Black and White. Just watch him rack up the Numbers, Owen score goals in Black and White. One more time... Owen Scores goals, Owen scores...
15. Really? How surprising. 22931 Well, I'm pleased but we do need further strengthening. Owen isnt enough. And someone said that the bloated price is probably down to Newcastle cutting a deal on the Woodgate money. 22946 Of course we need further stengthening. However while you try to find negatives, just think if he didn't sign, no striker signed, and then come back to me and say you are not happy that Owen is coming to Newcastle.
16. Really? How surprising. 22931 Nothing will please that lad, I swear. 22932 He's right though isn't he. Owens a bum steer. /well not really, but I just had to use the term bum steer. //Bum steer, bum stter, bum steer.
17. Whos that lying on the ground on the right? An actor? 22919 Who? Gavin Harris? Great player, bit of a tearaway mind. That Hughie McGowan a bit over the hill like, Santiago should be first choice everytime and he knows it. If he does leave I hope we get a good price for him. /??? Is this the real life, is this just fantasy...
18. Wonder if the next film suggests the Owen signing was a swap deal?
19. Love this wallpaper with Boumsong. http://www.goalthemovie.com/downloads/uk/w...aper_5_1024.jpg
