  2. Hope fatty hasn't placed advance orders for a new, third European strip for next season
  3. Wonder if Anal is going to put his (or rather what fatty tells him) spin on this today?
  4. This from club site: Sky Matches Announced NEWCASTLE United will play their home games against Arsenal and Chelsea in front of the Sky cameras, as well as the away fixture at Reading. That means a change of date and kick-off time for two of these games; Newcastle United v Arsenal Monday 9th April - kick off 3pm PPV (no change to date or kick off time) Newcastle United v Chelsea Sunday 22nd April - kick off 1:30pm PPV (was scheduled for Saturday 21st April - 3pm) Reading v Newcastle United Monday 30th April - kick off 8pm Sky Sports (was scheduled for Saturday 28th April - 3pm)
  5. Isn't a former ex Southampton/Rangers/Liverpool and other clubs ( manager supposed to have had a similar type of contract too, especially at Southampton?
  6. Another desperate, downward spiralling club (at the time) did the same thing for their new away strip at the start of last season. They are 12 miles down the road from SJP.
  7. The way these gutless, spineless twats seem to care about our club, looking at the rest of the fixtures Citeh home and Watford away are probably the only ones I feel we MAY get something from. Although Watford will be wanting to go out in style so I have argued myself out of that one!! Thank god there is a fortnight before having to drag myself up to SJP. Oh for the days of Bobby Shinton when we knew we were crap but weren't paying shed loads of dosh to watch it!!
  8. More importantly, going back to the actual topic of the thread, reported in today's press that Watford's midfielder Al Bangura was alledgedly racially abused by Emre when he came on as a sub in the League cup game at SJP. The FA are supposed to want to speak to Bangura as well now.
  9. And two of the thieving scum stooped so low as to "bunk" into a disabled section, still amazes me how low these bastards will stoop to.
  10. Correct me if I am wrong but the way I read your link is that you have to already be a subscriber to Topup TV at £9.99 per month BEFORE then paying Setanta.
  11. Is that meant to absolve the current board of blame for throwing money at an idiot like Souness? Who the fuck got us into this position? Backatcha. I wouldn't absolve this board of anything, just wanted to put some facts into public domain for non-shareholders to weigh up when the summer fund isn't as large as they hope it will be. My loathing of the board is as great as anyone else. If the agm had been up here I would have been after them again like I was a few years ago when I got an ovation from the floor on going back to my seat and Doug Weatherall asked me for an interview. Sorry, I realised I'd misinterpreted you about 30 seconds after I posted that. Hey no problem at all my friend. After 37 years of supporting our team and not missing a home game (cup, friendly or whatever) for 27 years, it is obligatory to develop a hard skin for whatever comes your way in the football world

  13. But we are that skint that £8 million has been received relating to advance sponsorship for FUTURE years (page 17 of the accounts) and in Jan 2008 MGM Mirage will probably want their £5 mill back after the recent casino refusal (page 50) So don't expect that £30 mill extra from Sky all to be lashed out on players in the summer, there's some cash flow issues to be sorted out!! Planning of a financial nature eh?
  14. He's reached a new low of late imo. He's mates with Roeder for one thing, which makes any notion of impartiality even more of joke than it ever was with him, and all he does now is say "I can reveal story X in paper Y linking player Z with Newcastle is untrue". Aye, that does my fucking head in. I'm more than capable of reading a rumour in another newspaper and dismissing it myself. For this bloke to take it upon himself to rubbish stories in other papers when he's got fuck all worthwhile reporting himself is a disgrace. Just because he has Roeder's ear and can ask him about these things he genuinely thinks it's newsworthy. SMALL-TIME REPORTER SCOTCHES TRANSFER RUMOUR EXCLUSIVE! Brilliant. The Pulitzer beckons. Thing is too, if he says we're going to sign a player and it doesn't materialise, it often never gets mentioned again. Don't worry, Brett Emerton will be a Newcastle player by the end of the week. And MON will be manager which he was busting his pants to "exclusively reveal" at several talk ins if fatty would have let him
  15. I was sure that Luque and Bramble were also supposed to be in this squad, Bramble himself wanting a game before the Villa match.
  16. OLIVIER Bernard is to continue his road to recovery when United Reserves travel to Wigan Athletic on Wednesday. The French full-back, who re-signed for the Magpies in September, has not featured for Glenn Roeder's first-team after being dogged by a series of injuries, the latest a hip problem which has kept him sidelined since November. Reserve team coach Lee Clark will hand second-string debuts to Academy players Ryan Donaldson, Alex Francis and Darren Lough. Donaldson (15) will take his place up-front alongside Andy Carroll after Carl Finnigan, an ever-present for the Reserves this season, signed for Falkirk on Tuesday. United are currently 5th in the Reserve League North, but have three games in hand on leaders Middlesbrough who are eight points ahead. The Magpies face a Wigan side who have yet to win a game this season and have just two points to show from eight outings. Newcastle United; Fraser Forster, Mark Bertram, Alex Francis, Darren Lough, Olivier Bernard, James Troisi, Matty Pattison, Kris Gate, Kazenga LuaLua, Andy Carroll, Ryan Donaldson Subs; Mark Doninger, Jonny Godsmark, James Marwood, Ross Cowan, Rob Cavener The game is a 7.30pm kick-off at Robin Park.
  17. When will it be officially announced at WHL that they are the Cockney mackems? Only thing they'll win this season!!
  18. He's nearly, so very nearly, as stupid and thick as George Reynolds. Even the numpty who does the club website has seen sense and taken out the "Geordie" quote from the piece on .cock.
  19. That maybe but we all know that they are a "rudderless ship" though
  20. Total agreement. The only other way fatty will go is when he has to retire in 6 years time (written in his contract as per the accounts) and I wouldn't be surprised if the sneaky twat gets that stipulation re-written before then anyhow.
  21. A fitting tribute for Ned on .com today. No doubt Craig (for one) will be joining me in a cyberworld nod of thanks to Ned for THAT unforgetable moment in 1992. What a legend of a player for us.
  22. If the Express report is correct then could fatty be in trouble? I presume that IF a proposal is made and it has to be discussed at board level, he could be out numbered and the PLC board will have to accept it and propose it to the rest of the shareholders. My reasoning on this is I presume fatty and brother fatty Bruce will vote no, Douglas Hall and his sister will vote yes and Tim Revill (Hall's buddy from Gibraltar) will vote yes too. These are the 5 PLC directors. Or do Independent Non-execs (which is what Reviil is) not get to vote on such important matters? Idle speculation maybe but any knowledgable bods know?
  23. I'm guessing that this is who Northcote bought their shares from. Certainly some unusual share dealing going on. Also just found out that several of the directors of Fiske are also directors of Northcote so it could be a manoevure in their books for whatever reason. Newcastle United PLC (the "Company") 16 November 2006 Rule 8.3 - Newcastle United PLC On 7 November 2006, Fiske plc acquired on behalf of Carule Limited, the funds of which are managed on a discretionary basis by Richard Hubbard, 100,000 shares in the Company at a price of 68.25p. This took its total holding to 1,375,000, representing 1.033% of the shares in issue. On 8 November 2006, Fiske plc on behalf of Carule Limited sold 1,375,000 Newcastle United PLC shares at a price of 73p.
  24. Keep up SM, you really should monitor your own threads (see my post near end!) http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10095
  25. Announcement just been made available that Northcote (IOM) were the big buyers of the 1,475,000 shares on 8th Nov. So fatty may have 2 interested buyers to consider. http://investing.thisismoney.co.uk/cgi-bin...19830&rns=1
