I knew about him shagging a goat. It was on a programme I watched a couple of years ago about Brazilian football. Apparently it was an initiation thing in the tribe which he originated from. Garrincha means little bird. He got the nickname due to his legs being slightly bent like birds' legs.

I don't eat huge amounts, no. But I tend to have a large range of favourites. Variety is the spice of life you know.

God, there's so many I could put: McCoys Cheese Walkers Chese & Onion Walkers Smokey Bacon Marks & Spencers Bacon Rashers Marks & Spencers 3 Cheese & Red Onion Cheese Doritos Cool Doritos Chilli Doritos Smiths Cheese Moments Smiths Scampi Fries Walkers Sensations Sweet Thai Chilli Walkers Sensations Cheese & Red Onion Pringles Sour Cream & Onion Pringles Cream Cheese & Chives Cheese Kettle Chips Philleas Fogg. You hardly see any of them around now, and I've never seen my favourites for years. I used to love the Californian Corn Chips and the Italian Four Cheese. Also, Tayto Crisps from Ireland are nice. They're much nicer than Walkers.

Spring Onion, or indeed Onion of any sort is the best salad vegetable. Lettuce and Cucumber aren't bad either.

Smelly Scot is warned over his 'biohazard farts'
Tom_NUFC replied to Lazarus's topic in General Chat
It's awful. It shouldn't matter where he is or where he's from it's disgusting. I used to work with a bloke who farted at work all the time, and they were the foulest things ever. There were times when I was almost sick they were that bad. Yes everybody does fart but you usually know if you've got one brewing. I used to go to the toilet and let rip in there if I was brewing. -
Shepherd is a problem, but it's Souness who's the real problem. Don't get me wrong, Shepherd is an embarassing prick with a big mouth, but when has Shepherd been a problem? When we've had shit managers. Dalglish, Gullit, Souness. When we had Robson, he wasn't really too much of a problem until towards the end. Players were signing for us and while he did make silly comments, they were very much in the background, because we were doing well. The only reason people (myself included) are as angry with him and his antics as they are is because the team is playing badly and the manager is shite. Given the choice of whether to get rid of Shepherd, I'd get rid, but we've done alright with him there when Robson was in charge, and if we had a decent manager who players wanted to play for and the team was playing well, people would put up with him. The biggest problem is Souness.

That was ghastly. I came away strongly thinking 3 things. 1. We DESPERATELY need a striker (preferably at least 2). We just look so toothless. We are going to be in trouble if there aren't any brought in. 2. We DESPERATELY need to get rid of Souness. I believe he is one of the main reasons why we aren't getting anyone in. He has a reputation, and I think that is why players maybe aren't coming. However, if we get rid right now, how do we get anyone in? I don't know which is worse. 3. We need to get rid of Shepherd. This isn't as important in the short term, but in the long run it is. The man is a joke, an embarrassment and constantly promises us things but fails to deliver. And then embarrasses us even more by claiming we are serious contenders in bringing in players out of our reach. (Owen this year, Rooney last year). Now he is coming over all tough guy, 'we won't be mugs and pay over the odds for players', well, I'm sorry but the harsh reality is that is the lesser of two evils. Right now, I'd sooner we paid over the odds for a decent striker or two than suffer without. I will admit that I'm pissed off that it seems to be we always seem to get caught out and have to pay over the odds. Another reason for FF to go.

I felt the same last year after I did my HEFCs (A-Level equivalents for mature students). It was like unchartered territory and I kept thinking do I want to do this. I felt like that at Freshers week and the first couple of weeks of lectures, but then once everything is sorted out and has settled down and you know people and you're way around the campus and things and you're into your routine, everything becomes normal and you feel comfortable and you realise that it's great. I'm looking forward to starting back so much. It's still a month off, but it can't come soon enough.

aye, I'd say they're Byker. On that stretch, I've always seen the railway as the boundary.
-
That's Byker though 13761[/snapback] I know. It's a load of bollocks isn't it. Shields Road will always be Byker.
-
I've always thought of it as separate. High Heaton was never part of the Heaton ward of the city. But then that doesn't exist now that it's been split into North Heaton and South Heaton.
-
That's High Heaton. North of the Coast Road is High Heaton. It's canny enough like.

So glad we extended the metro there...
Tom_NUFC replied to Sicklee Sausage Roll's topic in General Chat
Ha! I remember that one from Newcastle Stuff. One of the funniest things I read. WEAR ON OUR WAY! THERE WAS mass hysteria in Sunderland last month when the Metro link with Newcastle finally opened, as thousands of locals tried to board the first train out of the city. "It was like Berlin when the Wall came down," said Stan Clear, Tyne & Wear Metro’s driver on the historic journey. "They were sitting on the roof and hanging from the sides. We had to add a dozen cattle trucks to the train, to take all the poor wretches and their belongings." Things turned ugly when several Sunderland ‘footballers’ barged to the front of the queue, hoping to flee the lynch mobs from the city they have shamed so disgracefully this season. If Kevin Phillips hadn’t distracted them by taking a dive near the ticket machine, there would have been a bloodbath. A sobbing mother watched as seven of her children and their five fathers left on the Metro, for a new life. "Kids want so much these days, and I can’t provide it in Sunderland," wept Penny Well. "The bairns have seen Newcastle on the television and they want to be part of it. You’ve got classier tattoo parlours and cheaper off–licences. I want my young ‘uns to grow up with the very best." There were problems when the Metro approached Tyneside, where passports were checked at Pelaw. Several thousand Mackems were shipped back to a holding camp at Brockley Whins, although there are reports that lorry drivers are charging as much as a fiver to smuggle them through the Tyne Tunnel. But not everyone is keen to leave Sunderland. Newcastle Stuff spoke with one Mackem who has decided to stay in the city. "Dain’t talk to me about Newcastle, there’ll be nay work there for me," a locksmith told us, from his unit in the Bridges shopping centre. "But I’ll always be busy here," he said, before turning back to his customers. "We’s keys are these keys?" GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY METRO CHIEFS are threatening to suspend services to Sunderland, after a spate of thefts has brought the transport system close to collapse. "If we don't get our wheels back, we won't send any more trains. It's as simple as that," an official told Newcastle Stuff, yesterday. Drivers have been advised by bosses not to wait at stations for more than thirty-seconds, as that's all it takes for locals to jack a carriage up and have it away with the wheels. Officials are also concerned about the disappearance of dozens of seats, although Sunderland police have made a breakthrough, after arresting members of a gang based in the city's Pennywell area. "They swooped on several houses on that estate, where they found residents had sold their three-piece suites and were using property belonging to the transport system instead," an insider said. "We like to use high quality furnishing on our trains, but we may have to introduce wooden benches on that route." Nobody in Sunderland was available for comment, yesterday morning. -
I don't throw anything out. I've still got bank statements that are years old, not that there's anything they could have anyway cos there's bugger all in there, and I do literally mean that. I might have to have a clear out like, but I've got a shredder. That's probably a fair description, although I'm not sure about the Babysham country bit. Coming from a mixed Middle/Working class family, I've never been quite sure which I am (not that it matters that much). Living in Heaton doesn't really help, because it's both. More well to do than Byker and Walkergate, but it's not quite Jesmond or Sandyford either. I went to school at Benfield, which takes in kids from Heaton, Byker, Walker, Walkergate and Walkerville. Some of the kids from Byker and Walker thought us lot from Heaton were posh.

That shouldn't make a difference. I point to..... 1968 Olympics - held in Mexico City, followed by the 1970 World Cup, held in Mexico. Munich staged the 1972 Olympics. In 1974 West Germany hosted the World Cup. The 1994 World Cup was in the USA, and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. In all those cases the Olympics and World Cup were held in the same countries, just two years apart. The London Olympics in 2012 and the 2018 World Cup are 6 years apart.

Heaton's not much bother really. I was about to say I was born in Heaton, but I wasn't - but anyway, I have lived in Heaton all my life. It was bad around 1990-ish when the council and the police decided to split all the villans from the west end up and put some of them in Heaton. Crime went through the bloody roof. I remember we got burgled 3 times in 4 weeks that summer. But they moved them out and it died down again. There's the odd charver, and you get some from Byker and Walker go and hang around the bottom field to set the kids play area alight and drink cider, but apart from that it's not at all bad.

FA considers 2018 World Cup bid Football Association chief executive Brian Barwick says that England may bid to host the 2018 World Cup after the success of the 2012 Olympics campaign. He said: "It's right and proper for the London Olympics bid to take precedence but why wouldn't we go for it? "I think we would bid further down the line. The next time that it should come to Europe is probably 2018 and we have got enough time to get organised." The FA, who missed out in the 2006 bid, have yet to make any firm decisions. Next summer's World Cup will be staged in Germany and is not expected to return to Europe for another 12 years. England hosted the World Cup in 1966 - when the home nation won the tournament - and also staged Euro 96. But their efforts to host the 2006 World Cup ended in failure, with the English FA accused of breaking an agreement to support Germany after they backed England's Euro 96 campaign. Barwick, meanwhile, is hopeful that England will win next summer's World Cup. "I see 2006 as a big year for the Football Association. Hopefully we will qualify for the World Cup and give it a real go," he said. "If and when we qualify, we would go into the World Cup as one of the teams that can win it. It's in the right climate and the right time-zone. "We have a very good team and are making impressions on European club football too. "I think we've made progress as an international footballing nation and can be expected to do well. This country will come to a halt if we do."

I can't stand it. I'm fed up. I can't wait to go back to Uni next month. Student TV, if I'm on a day off then it's a bit of Sky Sports News, followed by the One O'Clock News/Look North and then Neighbours followed by an afternoon kip/ listening to radio 5/CDs/MP3 player whilst in bed. If I'm in on a morning, but come back in the afternoon then I'll get in and have some dinner while I watch Neighbours, and then it's the same thing. Sometimes I'll watch a bit of Cash In The Attic. That's alright. I don't like Diagnosis Murder though.

Keane & 5mil for Jenas. I'd take it.

A man dressed only in a nappy who has approached a number of women on Teesside is being hunted by police. The man has hidden in bushes in Eaglescliffe before moving towards the women and asking: "Are there any baby changing facilities in the area?" Cleveland Police said they are becoming increasingly concerned about the man's behaviour after several incidents in the past few months. They want anyone with information about the man to contact them. The latest happened on Sunday night in a play area on Wentworth Way. 'Bizarre antics' The man approached a woman walking her dog and said to her: "Are there any baby changing facilities in the area?" The startled woman said no and walked off, leaving the man still running around dressed in his nappy. Insp Ian Garrett said no-one had been assaulted but the man's antics were bizarre and a cause for concern. He said: "There have been several reports of him having been seen in Eaglescliffe dressed only in a nappy and we are keen to trace him and speak to him." Similar sightings earlier this year in the Stockton area of a man also wearing just a nappy are not being connected.

Mourinho thinks Wigan won the Championship.
Tom_NUFC replied to Sicklee Sausage Roll's topic in Newcastle Forum
I noticed the mistakes Sky Made. About 30 minutes into our game, Sky showed a shot of Freddy Ljungberg, up went the caption with his name, but it was our badge in the corner. Similarly in the Wigan - Chelsea game, Didier Drogba's name was shown with a Wigan badge. -
Official Match thread: Arsenal V Newcastle

That wasn't at all bad. I was expecting a drubbing and us to be embarrassed, but we battled well and deserved a draw. The Jenas sending off and the penalty were both harsh decisions. I think Souness was wrong to take off Shearer. When you're battling like that, that's when Shearer is very handy to have, for his presence and experience. He'll let people kick him if it means holding onto the ball, and that's what you need. But overall, not at all bad. -
Robbie Williams and his seeking problems so that people can feel sorry for him. His social club style singing and nodding his head whilst smirking. Pete Doherty. The Libertines were great, but he fucked it all up. Babyshambles look promising, but he appears to be fucking that up as well. What a waster, what a fucking waster. Cliff Richard. Smarmy Tennis loving Christian who inflicts us all with is dreadful God and Jesus loving songs. Most Premiership footballers. Lets face it, most of them are overpaid, self important, self deluded arrogant, thick tossers in it for the money and have a shite taste in music. Graham Norton. I can't stand the whole camp thing. Is there any need for people to be camp? The thing on Extras on Thursday - so true. Same reasons. Robert Kilroy-Silk. An Orange Nazi trying to look respectable. George W Bush - The most important job in the world, and the man is an idiot. Tony Blair - His smarmy grins, his cleansing Labour of its true principles. He's a tory in disguise. He's an intelligent man who follows an idiot, which in some ways makes him even more of an idiot than Bush. Michael Jackson - He's fucked up, looks like a completely messed up freak, has disturbing fans and has done nothing decent for nearly 20 years. Jordan - Looks and sounds absolutely revolting. Jimmy Carr - Not that bad really, but he's getting to be like dog shit on the bottom of a shoe.
