  1. I'd prefer Owen, but I don't see it happening, and I'd be quite happy to get Kuyt in.
  2. To be fair, I'd normally think bollocks, but he was pretty much right about the kits and stuff. So, I shall believe this. But, I'm still far from convinced that it's inevitable. They might have been ordered just in case, I mean sooner or later the letters and numbers will be used up. But they've ordered them, should a miracle occur and we do sign him, so that they don't run short. That's my theory.
  3. speaking of Pound shops, the Everything's £1 shop in Eldon Square. Could you go in, hand over £1 and say I'll take the lot?
  4. It's good news. Someone said about papering the cracks, well yes, maybe. It doesn't make everything alright, that's for sure, but we might as well have cracks and a striker in, than cracks and none.
  5. assuming it's a credible source, I'm not at all suprised.
  6. From a Deportivo fans site www.riazor.org NOTACIAS BREVES Luque al Newcastle por 14 milliones de euros. Translation: LUQUE TO NEWCASTLE FOR 14 MILLION EUROS. further down: LA VENTA DE LUQUE AL NEWCASTLE PASA POR OWEN. Translation: THE SALE OF LUQUE TO NEWCASTLE OCCURS THROUGH OWEN Madrista Michael Owen holds the key for Albert Luque's transfer to Newcastle for approximately 15 million Euros, after the leaders of the English club landed in La Coruña to complete the Catalan's move. The agreement was delayed for several days, as the Magpies chose to call off negotiations and look for another alternative. Quite how Owen holds the key though, I'm not sure.
  7. nowt on the Marca website about it
  8. I'd have Dean Ashton. Not at all bad.
  9. The things is, you know for a fact that if Souness is sacked, SSN will be up at SJP interviewing all the Charvers who'll be saying they want Shearer as manager, and that will make it seem like most NUFC fans want Shearer as manager.
  10. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Whey ye bugger a' hell! Am clammin (I'm Hungary/Thirsty) It's geet blashy (rain)

    Conned!

nah, we're not being conned we're just a bunch of junkies, sadists and gluttons for punishment

    Conned!

They do it deliberately. Mind you, Coke machines are the opposite. Some nifty fingerwork and you can often get a doubler. I was great at doing that when I was at school. I've lost me touch though, I just can't get coke machines to do it these days. Or maybe they've cottoned on to that trick.
  13. Its actually worse than that. Bolton did not play very well this evening. I would even say that they looked distincly average. Speed has his ups and downs and Davies was practically non-existant. 17657[/snapback] Yeah, I gathered that Bolton didn't play well themselves and yet still managed to walk over us. Quite right - that is worse.
  14. It'll be something along the lines of Souness' classic hard luck story that he likes so much.
  15. I only listened to it on Radio Newcastle, but that's the impression that I got. A shambles. I mean Bolton, yeah they've done well, but come on! But if teams like Bolton are walking all over us, like they did tonight, there is something fucking seriously wrong that needs some major sorting.
  16. Runs between Westmorland Road, across Westgate Road and up to Gallowgate/Barrack Road. In days gone by, it used to be Blenheim Street.
  17. He's clearly stated his intentions that he wants a move back to Liverpool. Benitez has said he's not interested of course, but it seems like he's the only one at Liverpool who isn't. Owen saying this could well change his mind, or put more pressure on him to change his mind. I honestly think he'll be off to Liverpool. I don't think there's much chance of him coming here. Of course, if he did, it would be brilliant. FF & GS: This is not an excuse to sit on your arses and do nowt, on the slim possibility that Owen is coming. But they probably will anyway.
  18. do the first and last in black and I'll buy one each - in a month's time when I've got some money.
