1. Whilst I'm male, I don't even own a car. No Yes No Jesus Christ, NO! I reckon I spend a lot less than that, although I always make sure I have a few in stock Dunno, possibly - That's pobably a bit high. I don't have much label/brand stuff. Almost all my clothes are Burtons/Top Man/Next etc. I spend way more than that I spent £80 on books last week alone Dunno, what I am. I suppose Lower Middle. No, I go to every Home game and at least 1 or 2 aways each season Yeah, I arrive about half an hour or so before KO. I go as soon as the match ends, although by the time I'm out the ground, it's maybe 5 mins after the whistle - tops, and that's because it's a nightmare getting out in the NE Corner.
2. It's probably a load of Bollocks like, but if Eriksson was to be our next manager I'd be quite happy with that.
3. Dunno if I'll go or not. The money raised from it aught to go to Charity, and I think it probably will. In the days when footballers didn't earn so much, a Testamonial was a nice little fund raiser that would see a player through his retirement. Nowadays with the amount they earn, they're pretty much set up for life and the amount raised by a testamonial match isn't much to them. Shearer's got millions. He could sit back and do nothing and he'd still live very comfortably all his life. But he won't do that. On top of the money he already has, he has his job with the BBC and I'm sure he'll go into management. I'm not having a go, fair play to him. I'm just making the point he doesn't need the testamonial money, which is why I think it will go to charity.
4. That explains his lack of success at job interviews then. 84515 Do you know what? I can't stand people like that. They're an embarrasment to the rest of us. I don't wear NUFC tops now (I might occassionally wear my 1970s TOFFS home shirt at a game). It's fair enough people wearing Football tops if they're going to a game, or if they're playing Football or what have you. But the rest of the time??? And there's people who seem to constantly live in them.
5. Nah. The Arctic Monkeys stuff is about things in everyday life and far too British to be anything like the White Stripes. I think the best comparison I've heard is The Libertines, but even then, I don't think they're a poor man's Libertines or Libertines rip off (that would Baybshambles), because I think they have their own style.
6. They're being hyped to the hilt, and that can turn people off. But hype or no hype, it doesn't change the fact that it's a bloody great album.
7. 84110 There's some bloody good stuff around at the minute, although, obviously I don't mean James Blunt. Guitar music is dominating again.
8. I think all that we can do is keep the pressure on Souness. I don't advocate 'Souness Out' chants during the game. I don't think that would help the players. But once that final whistle has gone - go for it. Make that feeling heard. If people are going to protest outside the main entrance after games - all the better. This must be done regardless of the result. Win, Lose or Draw. Now I know that when we get a win, it's easy to be satisfied, but look at the situation we're in. We will win a game or two, but it won't be long before a loss or a bad draw comes around again and everyone is angry again. Besides which, how many times have you thought, even when we've won that it's been a good game? Not many. Our wins are narrow, scrappy, even flukey. Souness thinks a win = him off the hook, and that's the case - temporarily at least. He has to see that this is not the case and that a win does not make everything alright. If we quieten down when we've got a win, all it does is set back our calls for his head. It has to be unrelenting, BUT should not interfere with supporting the team. Support the team on the pitch during the game Call for Souness's head afterwards
9. I bet £3m that Steve Nicol is the New England coach
10. You can indeed ask. The reason is, I made that about 2 mins after it was announced he had signed, before there were any pictures of him in an NUFC shirt, and I've never actual got around to changing my avatar, being the lazy arse that I am.
11. aye, but it doesn't mention the but about injuries being no excuse. Well, not as much anyway.
12. Suprised this piece from The Journal hasn't been posted yet. So, the question is, is Shepherd saying we can turn the season around, or is he putting the pressure on Souness? I'm inclined to think the latter. The fact that Shepherd has said injuries are no excuse is what a lot of us have been saying for ages. Now that Shepherd has said this, Souness can no longer hid behind that excuse that has been a shield for himself and his mates.
13. There's been video evidence at both trials. They're both vermin in my opinion, as bad as each other. Both hated-filled racist c*nts. Lock them both away for good I say, but stick them in Celebrity Big Brother first as suprise new contestants.
14. souness is more of a worry, although the NOTW are just sh!t stirring all round.
15. Oh aye. Rock Music is basically white folk music fused with Black Blues and Jazz. I do like some folk music, but it's more the 'rockier' end of it - the likes of Dylan, Neil Young etc. The more traditional folk stuff though - nah. I've heard lots of it and on the whole it's not my cup of tea.
16. Fair play to him like, being able to take the piss out of all that stuff.
17. My parents liked folk music, which I found appalling, at the more tolerable end of that was the likes of Bob Dylan and Lindisfarne. Then there was stuff like The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Band, Roy Orbison, George Harrison Then my dad had all his Blues records BB King Ry Cooder John Lee Hooker Captain Beefheart Frank Zappa loads of things. There were quite a few classical records as well. I don't mind a bit of classical music - symphonic/orchestral mind, I'm not at all keen on Opera - neither are my parents actually. My Dad has amassed a huge record and CD collection over the years. In all, a mixture. There was stuff I found absolutely horrendous, and there was a lot of stuff I really like.
18. That Hyperspace, I thought when I heard about it, comedy set in space = sub standard Red Dwarf. The first episode I thought was tolerable but it did like really funny moments which is what a comedy needs. I'll watch it again next week, see if it improves like, but if it continues the way it started I'll not be watching. Little Britain - A series Too far. Series 1 and 2 - brilliant. The last one was still alright but it had lost something and wasn't as funny. Extras - Fantastic. I loved it, especially the Les Dennis episode. I got the DVD for Xmas so I've been watching them again. Do another series and then pack it in. The Catherine Tait Show - I feel like I'm alone in this one. It seems like everyone else loves it, but I just don't think it's very funny. A few of the characters are Harry Enfield and Fast Show rip offs done nowhere near as good. Man Stroke Woman - I thought it was alright. The Thick Of It - Very funny the way they keep dropping a b*llock and look for people to blame, you can imagine that sort of stuff going on in government departments. Its meant to be a comedy, but I bet it is actually true to life.
19. This? Never seen it around for years and years.

Exams

No exams for me until the summer. Some people on my course have an exam, I think next week, but I didn't pick that module, so I'm in the clear. Saying that I've got an extra essay instead and I'm radpidly running out of things to say in it. Time to start going through and putting in three words where one will do me thinks.
