  1. Enter Shikari - Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour
  2. And Curly Wurlys were as long as a 12" ruler!! Aye, Curly Wurly's used to be huge. You're right, they've got smaller. You used to be able to buy a Cadbury's Fudge for about 8p as well. Christ knows how much they are now. A normal bar of chocolate is 45-60p these days. I remember when they were about 20p.
  3. Wham bars as well used to be notorious where teeth were concerned. I don't think sweets have got sh!tter, we've just got older and pine for things from our youth. Our parents were the same, and the kids today will be exactly the same in 20 years time. The names have got sh!tter. Starbursts and Snickers will always be Opal Fruits and Marathon.
  4. don't worry about it, most people don't mind. I'll admit that there are times I'll see one of the threads and think, not again, but when I do, I'll just ignore it. Its not like you're personally offending anyone
  5. why not, its not hurting anyone or being nasty about anyone. Carry on
  6. I'd say the same, for similar reasons. It just felt like things were starting afresh. I was motivated again. I still feel like that. Going to Uni was the best thing I've done to date, I've never been the most confident of people, but its given me back a lot of confidence and self-belief that I had lost.
  7. Not so much a worst day, but a worst time. Its a long story and I don't want to go into it in detail, because its in the past now and although I think about it, I try to learn from it and move on. Basically, my supervisor at the place where I worked had it in for me, for reasons still unknown to me. I got stressed out and during a weeks' holiday I realised I couldn't take anymore and snapped and ended up being diagnosed with clinical depression and signed off on the sick. I felt lonely because people who I'd knocked around with at school were mostly away at uni. I'd made friends at work, some quite good ones I thought, but once I was on the sick, suddenly none of them would speak to me. That made things so much worse, I'm already thinking what have I done wrong for being singled out at work, and now Im being ignored. It completely did my head in, and I found myself drinking just so I wouldn't feel so low. It never got very serious though, because I saw it happen and realised it was a dangerous road to go down. I can't describe how awful I felt, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
  8. Spain (but not the Costas populated with British ex-pats and holiday makers), maybe France or Germany. Don't know about living there, but I've every intention of visiting Brazil and Argentina. It would have to be a country where football is prominant, otherwise it would drive me nuts. So the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand are all out of the equation, though I'd gladly visit any of those places.
  9. Either or. Ideally both. I do like the idea of having a son.t There's the idea of having a son to take to the football etc, but you can do that with a daughter as well. I mean I've got a mam and aunties who love football, and yet my dad isn't interested in football. When I was younger it was my Mam who took me to the games, and she's still got an NUFC season ticket. If I had a daugher, no doubt I'd try my best to pass on the pain and burden of supporting NUFC and I'd encourage her to play the game as well. Just as I would if I had a son.
  10. aye, although I'm too pedantic for my own bloody good. The worst is if its a mistake I've made myself and then realised.
  11. And of cause it should be Chamberlain in from the start, not Churchill and Atlee should come in at the end. And I've just noticed Pearl Harbor and the American entry occurs before Barbarossa. Wrong, wrong, wrong
  12. old and with errors. Mussolini, Tojo, Roosevelt and the American generals shouldn't be in from the beginning. de Gaulle was just a minor general, no big player until after France's defeat when he fled to Britain and commanded the free French. Nevertheless, its still good.
  13. Shearer ready to Rock in new BBC series Alan Shearer has swapped football boots for guitars as he is set to star the BBC’s new celebrity reality series ‘Tonight…I’m A Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ Former England and Newcastle captain, Shearer will participate alongside other celebrities, including Cricketer Phil Tuffnall, Newsreader Michael Burke, Holyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson and Top Gear’s James May. The celebrities will compete against each other in eight bands comprised of four members – a singer, guitarist, bass player and drummer. Each band will have a captain to guide them along the way, with former Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins and Ian Broudie of the Lightning Seeds already signed up, along with Louis Walsh as one of the four judges who will assess each band’s performances. The celebrities are said to be undergoing music lessons in preparation for the show which will begin in June.
  14. Cos he's a clueless fucker that's why, the most clueless fucker in an organisation which boasts an abundance of clueless fuckers
  15. I've finished uni until after Easter, gotta go back after though for a few weeks. My dissertation has to be in on May 11.
  16. Aye. It would be a f*cking bloodbath all round.
  17. You've not heard then? The BACS system is running slow, meaning that anyone who's meant to get paid today or was meant to be paid yesterday won't be getting their money until Monday. They're saying that the banks will cover any outgoings - Direct Debits, Standing Orders etc, so you won't be charged for overdrafts or anything, and the banks will let you have money out, but they're saying to go into the bank and get money from the cashiers because cash machines may refuse you. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6508791.stm
  18. seriously though, it looks good.
  19. Boo! I wanted a British setting with several different cities. Imagine having a GTA game with one of the cities based on Newcastle/Tyneside? It'd have been class man.
  20. You forgot the IDST. Anything like that has to have the IDST. Someone could delete that now and it wouldn't be true anymore, but if you'd have put IDST it would have been the truth FOREVER!
