Ange is perfect for Celtic, a small time club with delusions of grandeur. His football is generally terrible and ignoring the ridiculous twitter comments about wor Eddie, just go have a look at the Guardian articles when Postecoglou was appointed manager of Celtic, he was ripped a new one by the media, the fans, fuck even he was amazed he was appointed. You know what Ange has done for Celtic, like Wenger when he first started at Arsenal, he knew where to find some very good, cheap players to take with him and that's why Celtic now have the most Japanese players of any club in Europe. When Ange was Australian head coach the football was duller than dishwater.

For Geordie's sake, someone tell me these are a local Newcastle band?!??

All nice sentiments and platitudes but no mention of the fourteen years of absolute misery and disrespect he put the club into, of the mistake he alone made.

For anyone that likes Tortise, instrumental post-rock/punk band from the US, I found this great article/resource of band approved live recordings. https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/dont-call-it-post-rock-a-deep-dive-into-tortoises-best-live-sets/

TBH I haven't really looked. Our RSD is on a different day to the rest of the world, I think because of shipping and them wanting to have all the O/S stock in. Actually turns out it was last weekend, that's how little advertising it got here. Wow the best of the Bunnymen B-Sides 2001-2005, talk about scraping the barrel! Jesus Jones unrealeased tracks - yeah there is a reason they are unreleased. Kevin Rowland, lead singer from Dexy's, solo album, Rick Astley, Ron Sexsmith, Mel C, fucking hell people didn't want this shite the first time and now they are doing collectors versions of it, wtf? Mate I do always try and buy the Two Tone releases and I see there is a Madness one this year. Also some of the rare punk compilations are interesting, Go Ahead Punk Make My Day could be good and I see there is Strawberries by The Damned. BTW I saw Ed Kuepper and Jim White play in this tiny old school country theatre last Friday night and it was amazing. Unusally he was very quiet but said a few things about Chris Bailey, sounds like there were plans to do something as the original Saints next year to mark the 30th anniversary of the start of the band. Ed and Jim played four Saints songs and quite a lot of Laughing Clowns. The same night the show I currently work on went to air with this track in it.

This sounds interesting, will have to find who has it here.

I heard a great story about JB the other day from someone reliable. Allegedly everytime he yelled "gotch ya" in a song, it wasn't just a tick or catchphrase - it was in response to one of his band making a mistake and him telling them they were going to be fined. And that's why his bands were always so tight because he fined them heavily every chance he got (ya)!

For those missing the grunge era. @PaddockLad you see the message I sent you a couple of weeks ago?

Forget the Super League, the pre-season Middle East Cup between PSG, AC Milan, Citeh and ourselves is going to be a cracking league! Maybe we could invite one or two of those debt ridden Spanish clubs and the German champions if they can afford it. -

So Burnley just sacked Dyche, watch them appoint Rafa who will get them organised and winning - relegating Everton in the process. -
Condolences strawb. Take care of yourself. Mate as HMHM says have a chat to a disabled care professional about your brother. I know from my family that people will struggle and refuse help/alternatives because of the emotion involved. And it doesn't really help anyone, especially someone like your brother.

Always been a fan of Squier's work, although his now attitude to NUFC is becoming predictable and boring but his latest work hits the nail on the head. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/ng-interactive/2022/apr/15/david-squires-on-the-death-of-a-friend-and-the-power-of-football-connections -

Plus the problem with the current tech is it is the VAR referee who is judging when the ball contact actually takes place, a thousandth of a second either way and their call can be wrong. BTW I believe the VAR cameras are 100 frames/second, so the margin is even wider for mistake.
