1. Ok what is going on? I've just edited G Dub you three times and it keeps posting as G Dub you! Why is there a pedantic secret spell checker on here?
2. We just had a "day of action" in Sydney which involved drivers not filling up on September 1st and it actually had a big enough response that days later the subject was discussed in parliment. The opposition asked for the government to reduce their tax on fuel by 10 cents/litre to which they replied no that would cost us 8 billion dollars in lost revenue. The horrible truth is the world is being held to ransom by two fuel producing bodies, Saudi states and the US. Both who work together and oppose each other at every opportunity. It has been argued long and hard that the US invaded Iraq for the good of the world but lets be honest it is about oil, Iran is next and as leaders like G Dub you help their American fuel producing backers engulf more of the oil producing world, they and the saudi's and the Abromovich's of the world will screw the prices up to exploit the dependant consumers. What is worse is the English and Australian governments have helped and supported Bush in his actions, so maybe they need to reflect upon their actions and how it has contributed to the current oil price rises!
3. My two pence worth, minor threat and the straight edge movement was just one more moment in the commercial exploitation of youth through music. Growing up in that whole 80 US post punk, hardcore punk period it was obvious to any thinking, observing individual that it was just another label for people to hang their existance upon. I shared a house with a guy around that time who was the biggest minor threat fan and forgetting the fact that generally the music was shite, he was the biggest susbtance abuser that I knew. ChocChip, you asked about Rollins and whether he is straight edge, no he wasn't but he has evolved into something very similar. Black Flag, Chaotic Dischord, Exploited, crass, the decendants (also ALL as they became) were all just US hardcore bands from the 80s but as Henry has gotten older he has moved to a "straight edge" philosophy. Interestingly enough more so since his friend (and alleged but often denied male partner/lover) was murdered for which he was questioned. ChocChip as others have said there is no need to look for an ideology in music, listen to what you enjoy, what inspires you. If you like punk there is lots out there to find, go to amazon and check out what others are recommending (search for a band you like, ie. Bad Brains and then check out the listmania! on the right hand side of the page) but don't get sucked into a genre. Just remember Stryper (look them up if you don't know who they were) wanted the world to believe they were christian rock and in the end they were just a bunch of satanists (so don't believe the hype!)
4. Really should get over having an obsession about people's members.
5. magelaide, try living in sydney now that every waker and their dog claims to be a swans diehard fan! I'm a football player/supporter living amongst plastic swans and brainless thugby fans!
6. Video: our 0-2 loss against man poo Video 2: Australia 8 v Solomons 0 dvd: Some classy erotic film(!!!) the lass purchased recently (no I'm not joking.)
7. Sorry Rob W but there really is only one thing to know about aerial ping pong and that is it is shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sooner my fellow Australians get the fucking thick heads around the fact Rugby and aerial ping pong aren't football the better the country will be. But if you really must know, try www.afl.com.au and I hope you get a headache if you actually go to that site. On the subject of crazy arse competitions, has anyone ever seen how the run the Brazilian league? Over the last 20 years they have changed it almost every season but there was one season, one of the largest clubs was relegated in there regional league but appealed to play in the national "finals" because of "they were a BIG club", then they went on to win and become national champions of the whatever sooooooooooopa cup. Farce!
8. Used me as an example whilst lecturing sima on how the fpa thread works but eventually suffered at the hand (or should I say typing fingers) of the same person's incomprehsion.
9. That picture is fake tbh. 25106 What its not the real Olsens?
10. He's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well in Nobby.
11. Sky always appear to do this though whenever they come anywhere near a 5 mile radius of SJP 24174 Haven't you all thought about the fact that most sane people don't want to appear on television for fear of actually looking stooopid, so that leaves them the the non thinkers.
12. How would the prospective signing of Solano fit into that? 24149 He couldn't. More likely is that Souness is getting tactical advice from Sven and it will be a diamond midfield.
13. Well that post just cost the club another hour's fee. What are you getting 100 quid per hour or are you charging by the word?
14. What just like Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix famously did once? Find a good stereo, put on one of their releases and listen. A TV's speakers (unless you have a hell of a telly) don't do them justice.
15. Should know I have and I still don't understand their sigur ros aversion.
16. Well with Shearer & Owen both in the starting 11 that is the only shape that is going to work!
17. But that would be admitting that the board reacted to the supporters and not that "they had a plan!"
18. So after what it will cost us in fees and loyalty bonuses about 7m!
19. How about Ketsbaia's Mobile though? 24107 Come on Alex - just because everything they say seems to have the same ring about it
20. I'm staggered that you can't see that the board were spurred into action for fear of a supporter lead protest to the club's current state of affairs. Don't you think the fact that their precious season ticket waiting list's decline had them thinking about their actions (lack of)? And do you really think they didn't hear the chants that supporters have been expressing recently? If they didn't I bet a certain Mr Shearer did. How do you think he feels everytime he is talking to his producer at the BBC and the same person asks him what he thinks of the supporters reactions at games recently? Of course they reacted and you would be a fool to believe otherwise.
21. But he runs his own business! So he is either a PR consultant (damage limitation specialist) or fat Freddy.
22. That's not entirely true now is it. If you recall the start of the 2001/02 season he was absolute dross and many were complaining about him. That said, I'd still love to see him back! 24057 That was all down to SBR nothing more inspiring then knowing you're the first player to be subbed/blamed/benched.
23. If he's going to keep spending like that, he can continue to pull the wool over my eyes as much as he wants. 24065 Let's see. Hopefully it will all work out. But there isn't much use having a ferrari if you can't even ride a tricycle!
