Maybe in the UK Bob but the rest of the world was already releasing punk records and it is a matter of months between them. I'm Stranded by the Saints was released in September 1976, New Rose by the Damned in October 1976 and The Ramones by the Ramones in April 1976 - Aust, UK & US. Then on top of that you had Radio Birdman who were 60's garage punk but are now regarded as a 70s punk band, who released their first piece of music in 1975! EPs weren't just 7" singles, they also came as 10" (JMC used to love to release them) and 12" 45rpms. If you look at it with CDs, they still release EPs and LPs, it is based on tracks not speed. I have a Procol Harum single that is a 2 track 7" 33rpm single. And what about the split EP 7" 45rpm single track one side and 2 tracks at 33rpm on the other. More than two tracks, less than 8. So what is it then an EP or a single? Lastly the Ramones LPs are an example of how track numbers define an LP, they had 12" 33rpm releases that ran for half the duration as other bands at the time and yet they were still LPs becasue they 12 plus tracks on them.

Look Roy, I know you haven't been to church in a while but the Pope has asked all players to renew their faith and we are going to stay here until you get the old kneeling on the pew action right.

Bellamy was irreplacable - Shearer was very replaceable. We should be playing Bellamy and Owen up front. 95443 UM as much of a fan I am of Bellamy the footballer, I think he and Owen up front wouldn't be good combination - we would look like the makems when they play their two midgets up front (ok it would be about a millions times better of a combination but you know what I mean). When Shearer does finish up at the end of the season as much as who the manager is, who we sign to replace him and to pair with Owen up front will be a huge deciding factor on whether Owen stays another season. One of the things that always makes me wonder is the fact that Shearer is cast as the big man in the partnership but if you look at when he and Sir Les were up front what role did Shearer play? It's only because he is older and slower now that he has been typecast into this role. As I said in another thread Marlon Harewood would be the perfect foil for Owen next season. He's big, he's quick, he has a hell of a shot and doesn't mind sticking his head in there to get on the end of a cross (remind you of a former newcastle great?) - he and Owen could easily be the new Shearer/Ferdinand.

So does that mean you're a changing to Dr Worm???

See Bellars scored a couple against the makems and celebrated his hardest in front of their supporters.

Go and see it It's hardly a classic but it's very watchable 94876 Thanks Cath. It is on at one of the open air cinemas that pop up over the summer months, should be enjoyable with a good bottle of wine or 2.

Thank you toplass, I was starting to think I was the odd one out with all these guys fantasising about killing people or just generally being offensive to others when the only "weird thoughts" I have when sober involve fucking in its many shapes and forms. Pud man, get yourself out to a dental chair supplier and spend some of that hard earned you have lying around. it sounds like TL has plans for you

Should know I wish it was offspring but understands even offspring is better than the crappy remix of sunshine of your life by cream that was used at the lexus mims presentation that I'm currently watching.

Goal starts here on Thursday, should I bother or wait until it is released on DVD?
-
Why are you willing to bet that? 94006 Sorry then Gol, my mistake, obviously you do use the word genre often and like the fish refer to the structure of a film. Just for future reference, format as an industry term refers to the source material the program is shot on, eg. celluloid, tape, hard disk (yes I am a pedanic wanker but just trying to help )

So their not unlike The Sugarcubes? Or maybe Crunt (real band featuring the singer from Babes in Toyland and her husband from Lubricated Goat (yes another real band)) or maybe even Little Birdy or even Lush???

If Babyaro's foul was a penalty and a red card how come Emmanuel Eboue for Arsenal wasn't even booked? Currently there are to many inconsistancies amongst the top flight referees.

Maybe soundwise but they act like the fucking Osmonds! 94454 Donny and Marie? 94459 I know no other.

Happy face, what are deerhoof like? They are just about to tour and I was thinking about going and seeing them because I've heard the name but can't place the sound. The other I've never heard of.
