1. I was thinking the same thing. You look at that bench and you can't take them seriously. I honestly think that Souness needs to re-think who he brings with him to a job.. 19148 With far too many managers it's 'Job's for the boys'. Unfortunately Souness seems to be typical in this respect. I heard from a a pretty good source that te training isn't too clever at the Toon. 19152 Aye I've heard that an'all. Apparently Lee Clark can't believe the standard of training compared to Fulham.
2. We've got a few Spanish lads here at work and I just asked one about Luque. He reckons he's an excellent player, works best as a left winger, and he's gutted that Real Madrid didn't get him (he's a Real fan). I asked him if he was worth 14m Euros and he replied "Yes. He's that good." without hesitation.
3. Not sure I really follow that. 19120 He's edited it once already too. Time for a third draft.
4. I know next to nothing about Kuyt if I'm honest.
5. You seem to be getting very excited about Luque. How much do you really know about him? I'm not saying he is not a good player, and not trying to put a downer on this, but I can honestly say I had not even heard of him before our interest. But several threads have popped up from NUFC fans saying what a fantastic player he is, and they know this from watching Spanish football. Deportivo? Really? My concerns are that he is overpriced, he won't fit into the PL, he won't score enough goals (Souness has already said he is not prolific), and that he is joining us for a big pay day (papers have reported he has been enticed by a large "cash sweetener"). But I really don't know, I'll just have to wait and see. If we're really lucky he might be nearly as good as Robert! 19069 Looking on the bright side as usual. 19073 I all seriousness, if you think that is negative, it isn't. It's just I'm not going to get excited about a player I know nothing about. Should I? 19076 No I just find it funny that your immediate reaction on news of signing him is not one of joy, but instead that he may be overpriced, he won't fit into the PL, he won't score enough goals, and that he is joining us for a big pay day.

7. Are you referring to Toontastic or Newcastle-Online? This is place is backup and running, for Newcastle-Online, you'll have to refer to either Phil or HTT for more info. 19041 i was meaning this place. Take it thats its sorted then. 19047 Well you're posting on it aren't you, you numpty.
8. Hope so. I'd hate to see us get a corner in the last minute of a nil-nil-er and just try to waste time shielding the ball by the corner flag. McClaren is so negative it's not even funny.
9. Are you referring to Toontastic or Newcastle-Online? This is place is backup and running, for Newcastle-Online, you'll have to refer to either Phil or HTT for more info. 19041 As long as you don't ask them on here cos Craig'll wet his kegs.
10. Maybe Parry was giving him some hand relief under the table.
11. Someone stick a pair of donkey's ears on that pic.
12. You're not missing a lot to be honest. I'm the only one worth talking to.
13. You're shit and you know you are.
14. Can't see us getting him, but I don't doubt that Flintoff is telling the truth about his manager.
15. Ponting just took Vaughan's wicket - caught behind by Gilchrist. Yep. Ponting.
16. They're not exactly at the cutting edge of investigative journalism, although if they're making it up I'm sure they still feel fairly confident in their fabrication.
17. Not the biggest surprise in the world, to be fair.
18. Errr excuse me, we've already got a thread where someone's mentioned the word "problem". Can you try and avoid use of that word in this thread please?
19. Aye, it's swung back and forth like a knife edge. I actually blame the exciteable yet negative Johnny-Come-Lately soopa fans, such as Gemmill. 18171 Wo'evoh mingoh!
20. Hope he's right. Suspect he's lying.
21. Yeah, it probably appeals to Johnny Come Lately's like yourself who don't fully appreciate the game. Being a purist, I prefer the beeb 18039 It's lunch. Shouldn't you be sat on the grass at the Civic penning a verse about the morning session's play? 18055 I think you're confusing me with Wacky Jnr. 18057 Easy done to be fair. 18059 I have the same problem with you and Colin Montgomery. 18081 Monty would've had to have lost about 10 stone, like! 18094 Oh dear. Death by pool cue on Sunday for you two.
22. Does he not realise that in trying to stay loyal to Souness he's jeopardising his own already shite reputation. 1-1 indeed. What a knob.
23. Looking on the bright side, at least we're going to see lots and lots of goals.
24. You really are on a different planet aren't you? Just one problem with your theory. I was at the Arsenal match last week, and can verify its true what they say about the Highbury library - they didn't make a squeak. Yet Arsenal are one of the best teams on the planet, and only 2 years ago went the whole SEASON unbeaten in the league, both home and away. Nothing to do with their manager and players, I suppose? Also, Newcastle fans are very noisy away from home, and guess what, we're shite. Even at Cardiff where we owned ManU, we were utter shit. So how do you square this? You really haven't a clue, have you? 18063 Not often I agree with you Hobbesy baby, but I think even we can unite against the utter cobblers that this one's coming up with. "I know like I know my own cock, that a massive investment of belief by the fans, in the team would turn this club around more than any player or manager could." KM, I can only assume you're 30 stone and haven't seen your cock in a while.
