1. Selling him to Wimbledon for £1.5million was a great bit of business. Mind considering some of the planks we've bought off them for big bucks in the past I think we still owe them a few. 51526 I hope you're not referring to Carl Cort, you.....you......budgerigar!
2. IIRC he looked slightly promising for about 5 minutes......then he sharp got that out of his system.
3. Doesn't look to me like he needs too much discouragement from trying to score tbh.
4. Charlotte man, forums with loads of different boards for different leagues and stuff are shite. FACT.
5. This is one thing that winds me up like. When you see some fucking knuckle dragger, with his hair stuck onto his spotty forehead with gel, unwrap something and just hoy the wrapper on the floor without giving it a second thought. Twat.
6. That is impossible because Souness doesn't believe in wingers. Honestly when I think back to the furore over that comment, it's exactly the sort of reason that I won't go on Newcastle-Online anymore. 51465 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/...pic,8407.0.html 51468 Jesus wept for less tbh.

8. Wow, those "articles" cropping up again. Those who were twisted in the tabloids all the time? Those who got translated by N-U-T beforehand and had often nothing in common with what was being read into it by Anal Oliver? And the "well timed" article where he just said that the team hadn't been good enough during the season, including himself? I wrote it at that time and I say it again, if this article was selfish I still don't know what dropping Robert who had been responsible for most of the goals that got Souness and Shepherd out of the fire (e.g. Holland) dropping for the two most important matches in a season was. We all know Robert was selfish, we all know Robert was very inconsistent, we all know his defensive work was lacking guile. We all should know that he was still instrumental in getting Newcastle into the top places. 51409 And some of us know that by the time we peddled him he was a shadow of that player that got us into the top places.
9. I have a strange sense of deja vu. 51417 He'll tell us how many bottles he drinks within two pages.
10. I did one a couple of weeks ago. It just said: Dear _________ Please accept this letter as formal notice that I will be leaving the company on _________, on completion of my contractual notice period of ______ weeks/months. Regards, _________ Signature
11. I forgot I'd even started this thread. I thought the wink at the end of the initial post would have made it clear it was a bit tongue-in-cheek like. Apparently not.
12. How do you explain that Trevor MacDonald bloke then? Or Al Jolson?
13. 2dp should be a minimum requirement tbh.
14. Aye, supporting their team and their manager is just stupid isn't it.
15. It's not often he's asked to come off the bench though to be fair. He's normally starting.
16. I think my favourite part was the Pink Uncomfortable Stools... "LOOK!! THEY'RE PINK AND UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!" "Lou... I've lived here all my life.... I went to Uni about 30 seconds walk away... I've seen these stools a million times..." "Yes... but.... look how PINK they are!! And have you ever SAT on them???? They're UNCOMFORTABLE!!" "Yes I've sat on them" "Did you APPRECIATE the UNCOMFORTABLENESS??!!!" "umm..." "SIT ON THEM AGAIN!!!" Or something to that effect anyway. I've not QUITE got across the look of pure fear that was in Steve's eyes at the time. Or how Woody just stood back and pretended to be the innocent party in all of this who felt for Steve (felt *FOR* Steve, people, there was a FOR in there) and was on his side.... whereas ACTUALLY it was all his idea in the first place. Oh yes, it was allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Woody's idea I'm going to be quiet and go to bed now. G'night!! (PS - I'm actually sitting here giggling at the memory. Good times, good times... whether you'll admit it or not... ) 51356
17. Me and that isn't exactly what the argument was (I said it was only surmise, Gemmill brought out the FACT) but I will be man enough to admit he added an extra dimension to the team when he came on. I also think that Shearer has just shown how useful he is as a sub against a tiring defence. Lets wait a moment before we get all revved up, it was one game against a very average looking baggies. We need to have a run of performances like the second half before we can welcome back a couple of the disappointing players we have had to endure for quite a while. 51325
18. spot on. Owens goals are saving us from a relegation scrap. At the rate he is currently scoring we might, just might, finish in the top half of the table. Cue those who defend Souness saying he has "succeeded" when he took over a squad/team that was 5th, and spent 50m quid on it. Odd way of thinking. To me, its a definite failure and cock up of the 3rd degree. 51368 As I pointed out to you a couple of days ago, you're becoming a parody of yourself with the constant references to Souness in every thread you post in. Just enjoy the fact that we're having a good spell instead of droaning on about Souness man. FFS.
19. To be fair though, half an hour wandering round Sunderland probably got him thinking that things could be a lot worse than sitting on the bench for the afternoon.
20. He's reappeared apparently and is sat behind the dugout. What a knob tbh.
21. The pro-Robert camp were unavailable for comment.
22. Alain Perrin announces the team, Robert isn't in it, so he gets up and walks out of the dressing room, leaving Portsmouth short on the subs bench. Not a pick of bother that lad like, definitely one we should have persevered with. Could well be the end of him in the Premiership - we aren't gonna want him back and it's unlikely Perrin will want to go on working with him. Great pro though.
23. I suspect Five are persevering with him in the hopes that he'll undergo a Lineker-esque transformation. Lineker was fucking dreadful when first started presenting an'all.
