Finished 1-1. Out of Bolton's hands now. Beat Chelsea and we're in the Intertoto. Cheers boro.

I cannot abide that ugly bastard. I just started writing an email to the sports editor of the Chron but I'm too fucking tired to summon sufficient bile to do the fucking cockwipe justice. I'll do it tomorrow instead if I can be arsed. I don't use the c-word but fuck me, if Alan Oliver isn't the fucking dictionary definition of one.
-
Bit of quality there from Le Tiss. Juggling it over the hun and wellying a volley that came back off the post for Lee Sharpe to finish. He did the old Three Amigos celebration. Titmus went mental in the crowd - I assume Sharpe's knobbing her these days?
-
Bastards. Haway man Boro you pack of horrible wankers!
-
And we're getting done off the hun! The bastards are cheating and only playing two celebs instead of the stipulated four. Typical fucking cheating krauts!
-
Is anyone watching this shit? Martin Offiah is the best player on the park for England and he's not even a fucking footballer.
-
why did you post it all? anyone give a shit? seriously? 131326 You do realise they're playing Bolton right?
-
If it's half as good as the Marina Dalglish match........it'll be absolutely SHITE!
-
Is there any substance at all to the Houllier link, or are you clutching at straws? 131251 I suspect I'm clutching at straws. I don't know of anything to suggest that there's substance to the link.

I believed all of the "This is a huge decision which we must get right" stuff as well. I honestly thought that this time he was going to really put the spadework in and get it right. I suppose this might end up working out, but as Alex has said elsewhere it'll be by fluke more than anything else. I'd be much happier if there was the likes of Houllier involved as well.
-
What a tosser.
-
Graeme Souness.
-
LM blames all that stuff on me though. Shepherd gets away with all of that on the "he was backing his manager" technicality.
-
True. 131203 By Shepherd. Is it getting through yet? Backing the manager is no good if it's the wrong manager. In fact, the one time Shepherd should have been 'keeping his powder dry' he backed the manager with unprecedented funds. That coupled with Souness's pay-off may well have fucked our chances of getting anyone decent and probably means we'll have to sell before we can buy, despite the threadbare squad. 131209 The "Hindsight" stick or the "McKeag/Westwood" stick? Which one do you want to be punished with?
-
No. Its not. It's simply saying he's looking further than a CV. Hence the sentence afterwards. I don't know if we can progress or not. But I can't be arsed with some of the replies from people who supported the last manager "clearing out the bad eggs" for peanuts, making big money buys such as Luque and Boumsong, and now bemoan the fact that the club may not be making the "big name" appointment they crave that didn't succeed previously ie Dalglish particularly, especially when its possibly because of a lack of cash that "big name" managers tend to demand to take the top jobs. If they can't see by now how moronic these u-turns are I'm not going to tell them ... Splash the cash Fred ! 131182 I agree with some of your sentiments Leazes, but not on others, obviously, especially Shepherd. Liverpool and Arsenal have demonstrated that their boards are capable of making inspired choices, sadly, ours doesn't seem capable of this (not all Shepherd's fault - look at Hall Jnr). Anyway, I suggest we wait until an announcement is made before entering a proper debate on the appointment. I may be surprised, but I'm worried. 131191 I don't know Renton, I really don't. I wouldn't have had confidence in O'Neill taking us into the top 4 either by the way. And one or two others that have been mentioned. Who would. In fact I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that such a bloke doesn't exist so I'll start looking forward to old age and the camera focusing on the new version of owld Stevie Charlton RIP Maybe Gullit was right and we are cursed, and the ground is cursed. We are paying the price for George Easthams role in abolishing the transfer system, inspiring Jimmy Hill to go further and scrap the maximum wage. We are to blame for all footballs ills so the gods are paying us back big style. At least we don't have to travel miles from an out of town stadium like fans of other clubs to drown our sorrows when its all over though, we were spared that 131199 Class. LM would sooner conclude that we are the victims of a gypsy curse than blame Fred.

Breaking News on the BBC Scrolling Text Thingy is that we've approached the Premier League about appointing Roeder.
-
The correct answer to the question was probably "We need to see what you look like before we can decide" or something like that.
-
If I recall correctly, you're a prop so you can probably handle his lass too.
-
The fact he didn't tell you he had a girlfriend also suggests he was waiting to see if he got lucky with you an'all, I suppose.
-
Spinning you round? Are you 5 and he's 8 or something?
-
Aye Wullie, that is the annoying thing. I was saying last week that I could see the sense in the Roeder appointment and I still can, although it's definitely a missed opportunity. What is so annoying is the stupid bloody Mickey Mouse way we're circumventing the rules to appoint him, and the fact that like you I don't think Shepherd has done ANYTHING over the last few months, but sit on his fat arse.
-
No point in even naming him in the squad if that's the case. Don't pick him and just get on with what you've got. If he has multiple fractures, he's not gonna be ready for the World Cup.
-
Wonder what LM's take on this Arthur Daley-esque "Heehee I'm getting round the rules!" appointment from that stupid fat pillock of a chairman will be. I'm still holding out hope for some involvement from Houllier. After all the talk of all the big names that were interested in the job, what are we left with? Tommy Craig, NUFC manager. Jesus Christ!
