Ahhh, so he gets his pinned eh? I see how it works around here.

2-0?! I've just told you Rooney's fit woman. I'm going for Eleventyten-Nil now. 149101 Rooney is NOT fit - I don't care who says what 149104 Now now Catherine, these are trained doctors who have given these opinions. Don't make me have to get one of them on the phone to patronise you. I know how you like to be patronised by doctors.

Dwayne Wayne Rooney has been passed fit to play by the specialist blokies.
-
Good on him tbh. I'm letting no one leave here early either.
-
Sammy, pictured leaving work moments ago.
-
And I also reckon Sven is gonna play Hargreaves at right back instead of Carragher.

According the BBC News "the England squad were kept up until 2am by the noise outside their hotel near the station in Nuremberg." Pre-emptive excuses.
-
According to this Dr. Wallace bloke he's running the tests this afternoon and an announcement may be made after as to the conclusion. If they've got any sense they won't make any grand announcements though, as it has to be unsettling for the rest of the squad. I'm not sure on the deadline for a teamsheet, but I wouldn't have thought it would be much more than an hour before kickoff.

2 or 3-0 England. And I predict Rooney will play some part in the game seen as the specialists have flown out a day early. They've arrived this morning and are away to run some tests on bionic foot boy.

Like Laurent Robert. Only with a work ethic. Oh, and the fact that he still sets up and chips in with goals. Robert stopped doing that. He doesn't go in huffs or go missing like Robert either. In fact, Robert was pretty rubbish most of the time.

I just came looking for this thread to point out how hilarious the whole Ghana/James Garner bit was. I was crying with laughter. "Hello is that James Garner?" "No dis ees Gahna da country, I'm sick of getting calls for James Garner de Actor. Do not tink i ave got all day to take other peoples phone messages. I thought the Rockford files was shit! Goodbye!" 148861 That bit at the end was quite funny. But that was Skinner and it was funny cos he flipped the joke on its head. I thought the stuff that went before with Baddiel repeatedly pretending to be someone else calling James Garner and slobbering and chuckling was cack though.
-
The stuff about James Garner getting calls meant for Ghana is David Baddiel at his worst tbh. A concept that's mildly amusing as a throwaway but then he goes on about it for far too long, laughing far too much at his own joke. I have liked them so far though, but that bit in the latest one is crap.

Finally Renton comes clean with the truth. Leazes has been vindicated. 148845 I've noticed you've been conspicuous by your absence like. Any tips? 148847 In what regard? If you mean how to handle Leazes, I've been advising from about page 3 that you stop replying to him before it gets out of hand. It's now out of hand.

What will Renton say in his next "last response on the matter"?

I reckon we'll be playing Ecuador in the second round, so let's hope they aren't too much of a surprise.
-
He does look a bit "Sunday League" there.

I don't reckon we're putting the likes of Leonardo and Desailly up. I think they'll be there working for Brazilian/French TV and we're just borrowing them for the matches they aren't covering. We'll still be paying them a wage but not all their expenses. Tbh though this is the one sort of thing I don't begrudge paying the BBC for. It's their crap period dramas and woeful sitcoms that I've got more of a problem with.
-
He still gets to start the next game then by the look of things. Also, the description by Tostao, as funny as it sounds, pretty much sums his performance up.
-
The lad is a class player. Is he only getting picked every week for Real Madrid because of the goal against Wimbledon too? As for the odds on him getting sent off, I would say they're canny long tbh.
-
Some bloke went into William Hills in London last week and put £150k on England to win it at 6/1. Mental. There's an idiot who's put £500 on England to beat Germany 4-2 in the final as well. Mug's bet tbh.
-
Argentina or Holland look the best bet so far. What price are they to win the whole thing?
