Ditto. I honestly could not give two fucks. He's not coming back here so he's completely irrelevant.

Just as Renton runs out of steam, peasepud takes over. 29 pages man. Please someone make it stop.

The look on that twat's face. "That's right. I'm having a drink. And I'm supporting England."
-
You see - that's not the point. They just look ridiculous! I would have trouble looking them in the face afterwards without wanting to laugh 149963 What about before?

There's nothing worse than when a student grows a full beard. They just look even fucking scruffier than they normally do.

If I was in charge of the fixtures, I'd just go ahead and do exactly as he's predicted.
-
Are you joking?

Aye Andy Townsend was saying the same. It's pathetic man, it's open season on Owen at the minute. Andy Townsend has never had a bad word to say about Owen in the past, but he's straight on the bandwagon first time opinion turns against him slightly.
-
You should have picked up the one you'd just helped him with and put it back on the carousel, the cheeky twat!

Class analogy.

Rosenthal can talk! What's with the Madonna mics they're all wearing? They all look like they've got warts on their faces. Plus I love the way all the whitey pundits have got flesh coloured ones, and the black pundits have got black ones. That's got to be uncomfortable when they're handing them out. "Oh. Mr. Okocha. Can you give me that mic back please? You take this one.......what?......no it's no different."

Exactly. I hope Eriksson feels the same about his first-choice striking partnership. It will be a travesty if he starts with Rooney and Crouch and leaves Owen on the bench. Crouch may have scored yesterday, but I still think he's some way from being good enough at this level. 149766 I can see him starting with Rooney and Crouch and then taking Rooney off after an hour and sending Owen on for some more long-ball-tainment.
-
It hardly takes a genius to spot that tbh. 149762 And yet here we are, 28 pages....

Do I get a prize for realising many months ago (while the master, Souness was still in charge) that arguing with LM is an exercise in futility?
-
Could have done with a few more long balls tbh. Disappointing.
-
This lot would empty their bladders all over England. 3-0. Best team in the tournament so far.
-
Assist for Saviola. 1-0.
-
Me neither. Saviola in my fantasy team as well.

I know I am in the minority but I think its a great decision to take Walcott. He isnt going to start but if youve got to ten minutes to go and you want one last throw of the dice then Bent or Defoe are a complete waste of time. But throw some teenager who nobody has ever heard of who can run 100 metres in 10 seconds and you might just create enough confusion for something to happem 149605 I would understand your point if he was using him, but I don't see Sven chancing him against one of the big sides in the knockouts. He's already pretty much admitted that having seen him more regularly in training, he doesn't think he's ready. Might have been an idea to do that before you picked him, Sven.

Why did Brazil take Ronaldo in 94 or Kaka in 2002 149607 Brazil won the world cup on both occasions which suggests they had adequate cover though. We don't.

Why has he taken this lad? Has anyone worked it out yet?

If you drop Owen for Rooney, England will instantly look better than they have been. That much is a fact. But we won't be better for the absence of Owen, it'll be because Rooney dropping into midfield and providing an outlet will stop these ridiculous long balls being played. Once you've dropped Owen though, when you create the chances you've got Crouch on the end of them. Which is where it all falls apart - he misses more than he scores, and you can't afford that, especially against the top sides in the knockouts. England will play better with Rooney in the side than Owen, but they won't progress with Crouch in the side ahead of Owen because the bloke isn't prolific enough. I would go with Owen and Rooney every time - once we start playing the way we play with Rooney in the side, Owen instantly becomes the obvious choice ahead of Crouch.
-
I don't even think it's a question of him having the balls anymore tbh, as listening to the pundits and the phone-ins most people recognise that one or the other needs to be dropped. I just think he's got his favourites and can't/doesn't want to see that it isn't working

Played in his proper role I think that would work. The good thing about a Gerrard OR Lampard approach is that if Gerrard picks up a one-match ban, knock or whatever, you've got a fully fit Lampard to come in and replace him. As things stand if they both get booked in the next game we're facing the hideous prospect of Jenas v Ecuador/Germany. I'd definitely give one of them (Lampard) the night off against Sweden for that reason if nothing else.
