1. Fair play to him for finally standing up to the press. He should have been doing this right the way through his time as England boss. And he's right about the Plan A/B thing. He's been ripped to bits for only having a Plan A in the past, now he's using 4-5-1 and people are saying it's desperation. I can see the argument to an extent because we've barely used it in friendlies, but still. Anyway, I'm just pleased to see him have a go back when the press lay into him.
2. I like U2, but Elevation is absolutely SHIT.
3. Would you be put off Tomlinson at all if I told you that Bryan Robson's been there first? 154338 And his wife walked in on them both 154345 Having to have sex with Bryan Robson is bad enough. Having to have sex with him and then watch him do it from afar would be too much for anyone to take.
4. The imageshack one that I posted on here a while back is a must-have. Go on imageshack and they have a link to it on there.
5. Would you be put off Tomlinson at all if I told you that Bryan Robson's been there first?
6. Alan "The Party Animal" Shearer.
7. Cath, close your eyes right now. Scott, you sir are a cunt of the highest order and you are now my enemy. Again. 154293 Does that mean you won't talk me through it?
8. The Australian dies. It's that simple.
9. I haven't really bothered with it at all this time. They went over the edge with the annoying housemates this time - there was no one funny in there and very few with any redeeming features, so it became unwatchable within the first week. I normally like it as well, so I'm not one of these that thinks it's beneath me.
10. Thought it was canny funny when neanderthal man Aragones was shouting from the touchline and Viera just kept calling over to him and putting his finger to his lips, telling him to "shhhhh".
11. People on N-O are emailing it in the BBC. Hopefully they'll show it before the England game and show him up.
12. Steve, I'll answer your question if you'll first talk me through Lucas Neill's tackling HORRORSHOW from the 93rd minute of the Italy game. If you could give me a brief rundown of the MAJESTY of Totti's penalty too, I would be grateful.
13. Like I also said, with the two Coles we have two of the biggest cheats in the competition, but even their cheating pales into comparison with what we've seen so far. We need to step the diving, cheating and simulation up to another level. It pains me to say it, but FIFA have continued to do fuck all about it so if you can't beat them...join them. 154237 The thing with some of the cheating these days is that it's gone beyond diving to win fouls (I've accepted that as part of the game by now). That's not enough anymore - it's about trying to get players sent off and it's just not on. Unfortunately I think you might be right - the only way to make it a level playing field is to act like a Portugal and cheat your way through games (I'm not saying they aren't a good footballing side before anyone starts, because they are!). I agree on Joe Cole and I hate watching the way he goes down under some challenges, because it's as bad as the worst of the continental lot, but if that's how FIFA want the game to be played........
14. There's another article on the Guardian site about how England were called to a meeting last night to watch a video montage of all of Portugal's cheating antics since the tournament began, to let them know what to expect. They also had a FIFA rep present to answer any questions on what was/wasn't above the law re time-wasting etc. Not a bad idea from Sven - if you go into the game knowing what they're like, you'll find it easier to accept when they're doing it to you, and be less likely to get yourself in trouble buy overreacting to it. It's bad craic that you have to go to these lengths in a tournament that's supposed to be about football though.
15. I suspect it was one of his daughters.

Henman's gonna get bummed to death by Federer.
21. I was disappointed with Henry too. When I saw it in real time I thought he'd been caught in the face, but the replay exposes him as a cheat. Sad to see and even worse to see the likes of Venables try and make excuses for him.

*sigh*

The prospect of a couple of days without football is pretty miserable, I must say. Then there's Sunday and Monday too. Then Thursday and Friday. And then a whooooooole week til Newcastle play in the Intertoto.
23. I missed it, any good? 154102 It was alright, nowt spesh.
24. How heavily implicated is he in the Italian Football Scandal? Is it likely to be linked to that does one think?
