1. I was thinking of defecting anyway, to be honest with you. But I don't think I could do two boards, so fortunately my hand has been forced! 170703 Welcome to the board then. Same to you Rocker, if you're here to stay. Re the spot the difference thing - I had a go on there the other day about double standards in what the mods/admin get away with. Mainly cos I just felt like being a twat like.
2. Verlaine, just realised you got banned and checked what it was for. Jesus wept.
3. I bit for you mate. HTT changed it back after I had a go saying it was out of order. Sorry if you were enjoying being a cockteaser.
4. Why might I ask? Because they are our rivals now? Shortly all we'll be reduced to is the mackemesque trait of hoping others do badly rather than we do well. 170551 Because I'm a Newcastle fan and have no interest in any team other than Newcastle doing well. It's all relative, Renton. Of course I'd like us to do well, but I'll also wish those around us to do poorly to aid our cause. It's hardly mackemesque. Will you be checking Villa's results every weekend hoping they've won or something?
5. Don't worry lads, 8:15 tonight, Inter v Ajax, on SkySports. I'll be running the rule over Obafemi Martins, and if he's any good, will be tipping the Glennster the wink for a press conference by mid-week.
6. If the reports of Man United being in for Kuyt are true, we've got Buckley's, as they say on Neighbours.
7. Alright snakey. Go anywhere nice on your holiday?
8. 170438 Been reading the Da Vinci Code tbh.
9. Who on earth are they ringing to be on the phone all the time like? Have they identified targets or are they just working their way through the phone book asking people if they can score goals and would fancy a game for Newcastle?
10. Aye I did quite fancy a flip phone like, but I like the way the Sony works too much and didn't want to take a risk on the Motorola if I didn't like it. If Sony get their finger out and make a decent slim flip phone, I'll get it.
11. Cloak of invisibility. 170376 Quite a feat considering his size. 170381 Pot, kettle, etc. 170382 Actually, during the WC it transpired he was heavier than me. Given we are the same height and I am not a professional footballer, I'd say that makes him one fat bastard! 170406 I'm willing to bet that Ronaldo's physique is a lot closer to that of a professional footballer's than yours. That's one thing that's always amazed me about him though (although not so much these days ) - how quick he was for the size of bloke that he is. The speed of his footwork was unbelievable when he was in his pomp. Like a footballing version of Ali.
12. Screenselect is unlimited, so how many you get a month is just a function of how quick you can get them watched and sent back. The best thing about these online things though is having the list. Whenever I went to the video shop, there was always loads of things I wanted to see, but the minute I walked through the door of the shop, they all left my head. With this thing, if someone mentions something or you remember about something you've wanted to see for ages, it just goes on the list.
13. I'm paid up for a year in advance with Screenselect at a discount of 33% though. So I'm the champion.
14. www.screenselect.co.uk It's a way of renting DVDs through the post. It's good.
15. Wullie on N-O is watching this and reporting back. Apparently TWELVE THOUSAND people have turned up to watch us train.
16. Nicos, did you know that they do a lot of film lectures at the Tyneside Cinema? I got something through from them the other day with a list of the upcoming courses including an introduction to screenwriting etc. They're all evening classes and some of them sounded quite interesting - sounded right up your street tbh. They cost like, but at £70 for a 10 lecture course on screenwriting, it's not too bad if it's something you're really interested in. PS, I'm not saying this on the back of the above link. It was just FYI.
17. The Thing is class. I remember watching that when I was a kid, staying at my gran's one night. She also let us watch Halloween and got bollocked off my mam for it. Just read the synopsis on Old Boy on Amazon and it sounds like a good concept at least. I wasn't even sure what it was about when I put it on my queue at Screenselect. Will report back.
18. You should post the link on here. I thought it was quality.
19. I've got that Oldboy thing from Screenselect to watch tonight. If it's no good, heads will ROLL on here.
20. Doesn't come close to Woodpecker Goes Down a Metal Pole tbh.
21. So if he's going to this Ajax thing, presumably it's to look at Martins?? Obviously we're not getting anyone from Man United, can't think of anyone at Porto (it is Porto that's playing, isn't it) we'd be in for, and that Huntelaar lad isn't going to leave Ajax for us, is he? (unless he's out of favour, can't say I know anything about his situation tbh). Like Isegrim says, I would hope that we're actually going over to talk to a player, rather than for scouting purposes. It's FAR too late in the day for that, although if we are it's just further proof that our transfer plans are a total shambles.
