Bobby man, and after all that training. You got the second tag wrong!

That thread title is so wrong and yet so funny.

Thing is, if he's trying to save money to complete his course this makes no sense at all - all the money and probably more will be swallowed by simply staying alive. As he's doing psychology anyway why not do a bar job and the course? WHat is it, 6 hours a week? 172692 Renton, as experienced men of the world, you and I can see this as plain as the noses on our faces. For a dopey pschology student it's not so easy. He should come back, live at home, save everything he earns and go back to university as the blingest balding fatty on campus.

I heard that the iTrip was poor for Car stereos as the iPod had to be kept pretty much on top of the stereo. my problem is that I don't have a cassette deck in the car I'm using at the moment, so instead of buying the £10 cassette adaptor I'd have to fork out £30 for an iTrip (or equivalent) which has received poor reviews. 172671 I don't think it's a question of it being on top of the stereo, it's more a question of how good your car aerial is really. On my last car, it just refused to pick up any signal at all from the iTrip, which is why I went down the cassette route. I'd always get cars with cassette players from now on because I have no need for a CD player (my entire collection is on my ipod). My iTrip is the original one mind, so it might have improved since then, although nowt beats the cassette thing. 172680 Apart from a direct link into the auxillary input of your car stereo. 172687 Aye maybe, but I'm not a big enough nerd for that! Fish, I think you can still get cars with cassettes in if you ask for them. If not, I'll just have to get my next car ipod enabled like this dweeb here! 172689 I didn't say that I had one though did I Although I have enquired if such an item exists for the Bose stereo system that's factory fitted in the Mazda RX-8's 172701 Ohhhhhh, have you now! How awfully terribly posh! And is it? I would think a lot of car manufacturers will be having to think about this option tbh. I know you can get BMWs that are ipod-ready.

Fish, why not just get bar work? Imagine, sitting in a not-too-busy pub, telly on, whiling away the day. If you were stopping up here you could have got work at Northern Rock or something like that - at the headquarters. That's where I did some summer work at uni. Basically licking stamps like, but I made a big thing of it on my CV for my interview at PwC and it definitely helped.

Moi. \o/

I've got an itrip, but I use the old fashioned cassette plugged into the headphones socket thing. The sound quality is much better and you don't have to mess about changing frequencies on long journeys.

You dirty animal!

I don't see the point in the video or photo versions tbh, but they're definitely good if you want to listen to music/podcasts. 172635 video iPod is alright if you're making frequent hour long journeys in which you're just the passenger. watching Ricky Gervais' video podcasts is almost worth getting a video iPod by itself. 172643 I just watch that on iTunes tbh. And they're so short as to make them barely worth the effort anyway - I've got a canny few that I keep meaning to watch. I only use public transport when my car's in the garage, so a video ipod is pretty useless to me.

Knows he's beaten tbh. I can kind of see what the Fish is trying to say about there being a slight distinction between the two, but I'm happy to see him lose this one.

Go count pea's.. 172627 It's beans, numb-nuts. Bean. Counter. Not pea-counter. Go and pay for chewing gum with your cheque book.

The idea of being in a field with a load of drunken krazee students is too horrible to consider. Not to mention portaloos etc.

What's that off again? 172605 True Romance. 172606 I've had breakfast in the diner that he goes to with Patricia Arquette. Which makes me pretty damn cool tbh.

"I have nipples Greg. Could you milk me?"

Sorry Gemmill i only hope that one day i can be on your level of uber coolness. 172570 The only way I would carry one of those things around is if I became Japanese overnight. That's a Japanese man's mp3 player if ever I saw one.
-
Actually thats a good idea. The first bit anyway. 172561 Re the second bit, she's old enough to be his mother tbh!

It's pea-green ffs.

Apologies for not following the crowd and buying an iPod, I tried to get one but was refused on the basis of my uncoolness. A couple of my mate's have got iPods and i've found the sound quality to be lacking in comparison to my Zen Sleek Photo, so there. 172551 Hey! No need to get shirty because you aren't cool enough to be an ipod owner!

Billy you MONGTARD!!

The problem with phone/mp3 combos is that you sit and listen to music on it for a few hours, then all of a sudden you want to phone someone.......aaaand the battery's on its way out. Or vice versa. Daft idea IMO.
