1. Do you like plays? 175369 Your kidding aren't you? The only culture Gemmill knows about are the ones growing in the empty pizza boxes in his living room 175377 I'll have you know, I've been to the h-opera, young man!
2. Glad to be hearing good stuff about I, Robot. Thought I'd fucked up there.
3. Do you like plays? 175369 Yeah. But stroking a pretend dog? That's just not cricket.
4. With Newcastle that's usually the best thing to do.
5. Even with the current squad, I'm confident we'll turn Wigan over first game. I think the competitive games we've played and the fact they've lost their best players will give us the edge. I'm saying nothing derogatory about Heskey though cos he'll only go and score if I do.
6. She doesn't 175365 Sounds shit. Nah, I can't do it mate. I can't watch a film with imaginary scenery.
7. You forget about it very quickly. Honest. And John Hurt narrates. The man is a god. But he's in The proposition too, so get that if you're after a more conventional film. 175359 That's on the list. Does Kidman get them out in Dogville? I'll get it if she does. I'm joking. But one of my mates has that as his sole decision-making tool for watching a film. If I tell him so-and-so is decent and worth a watch he just responds with "Does she get them out?". If I respond yes, there's a chance he'll watch it, no and he just goes "Sounds shit."
8. I wasn't drawn to that film at all, but I've got to admit when I got round to seeing it I enjoyed it far more than I expected, does what it says on the tin, don't be expecting Citizen Kane. 175351 Cheers Jimbo. I feared the worst but will give it a go.
9. I credit you with enough intelligence to see past the fact it's set on an empty sound stage where the actors pretend to interract with surroundings that don't exist. Going so far as to pet an imaginary dog that's been drawn on the ground. If that sounds too artsy there's always the fact that Nicole Kidman gets abused throughout to enjoy. 175348 Are you serious? Cheeky twats at Screenselect suggesting I would like that!
10. Nah Jimbo, the comment at the start of the week was "I can't honestly say we'll have anyone in over the next day or two" or words to that effect. Loads of people got mixed up and thought he said "I can....".
11. I must have added I, Robot at some point in a moment of weakness cos I've just discovered they're sending me that. Is it as bad as the critics said?
12. Is it artsy and boring though? Not taking the piss but it sounds like it might be. Sometimes I add stuff like that to my list then when it arrives I think "WTF did you put that on there for?!" I don't want to make that mistake.
13. Aye, Sherilyn Fenn. Jesus H! Lara whatsherface that made a tit of herself in the tutu at the Oscars an'all. EDIT! Didn't know that about David Lynch btw. That explains it then.
14. Reet, on my Screenselect recommendations, it's telling me that I would like Birth Dogville Stander ..and a load of Woody Allen stuff. The Woody Allen stuff I'm ok with, but are the other three any good or is Screenselect mocking me?
15. Twin Peaks started off class, but disappeared up it's own weird arse after a while. Could have been much better than it was if they'd kept it semi based in reality.
16. Funny like cos you would have got "OMG you twat!" from me.
17. Millennium is brilliany too - if a little dark at times. 175276 That started off really good, but I lost the thread somewhere along the way. Might see if that's available on DVD.
18. Ben Folds Five - Tiny Dancer ...is canny.
19. Had that on my Screenselect list but took it off in the end. Is it that good Jimbo? I remember reading rave reviews about it a while back - gritty and all that business. Just stuck it back on the list on your say-so. It had better be good.
20. OH! Entourage. I watched a couple of episodes when I was on holiday and it looks a decent show. About this lad whose script gets picked up by a studio and him and his mates shift to Hollywood and live the high life. It sounds a bit naff, but it's got the HBO seal of quality to it. I'm downloading the first two seasons at the mo - one gig left to go.
21. I think my immediate concern would be for the person tbh. How "in trouble" can you really get? The worst thing that's happened is the injury to the person in question, and how in trouble you are is contingent on how you react to what you've done to them surely. I know this sounds like I'm saying act REALLY concerned and you might get off lightly, but that's not what I mean.
22. I've got you on ignore.
23. Yep be getting the suite - only a B suite here each though - cheapskates and the Limo from the airport and at our disposal blah blah. Seems a NO brainer to go BUT the Mrs............................. 175227 Sam's Town? Is that in Old Vegas, off the strip? I just got an access denied message on the work computer because of the gambling link. I've only ever stayed on the strip - proper Vegas tourist. Stayed in a "junior" suite at the Paris hotel once, which was massive, so Christ knows what a proper one's like. Assume a B suite is similar.
