You can lead yourself to believe that you're merely being sensible rather than blind to the fact that we're having serious problems signing a striker of quality in the current transfer window.
-
Even Ringo???
-
The press over there is full of him apparently. They're lining him up to play on the showcourts at the US Open because they reckon he puts on exciting matches.
-
We didn't let him go though. We offered him a contract and he turned it down. Agree though that at the moment he would at least provide cover - if Shola is stricken with something tomorrow the price on strikers can go up even further. Someone's just mentioned it, but if I was Roeder I'd be looking at Anelka again. Guaranteed goals, and he should just look at his attitude as a challenge to overcome.

Hmmm... the powers that be at the Birmingham airport must have decided they didn't want him to leave for an additional 1 1/2 hours and had him sat in his plane on the runway just for giggles.... 180139 Obviously wasn't that big a fire though was it you bint? 180209 Quality. Unnecessarily sarcy response like, I agree. And there's nowt more annoying than the rolly eyes smilie.

Talksport are reporting a £12m bid from Portsmouth for Martins this morning.............................which would rule us out of that deal too, I would think. It's Talksport like, so we'll see.

What do you do on your half days? Work? 180200 Similar to what I do when I'm at work, only I've got a sofa to lie on instead of a swivel chair.

Apparently sitting on your hand until it's numb makes it feel like someone else is doing it. Personally I find it feels like wanking with a numb hand. Also, you try your other hand, but this is harder than it seems. 180183 Can't believe you've tried that, you extreme wanker.

You can leeeeeeeeead your hat on.

He's scored something like 90-odd in 190-odd so he obviously knows where the net is. I find it funny though that having watched Kuyt umpteen times and still not really known whether we wanted him, we're now turning our attention to a Russian we've presumably barely seen play.
-
Love Fridays. SLP mentioning he's off at 11 has put me in mind of maybe taking a half day myself. We shall see.
-
He's getting the name of an effeminate defensive midfielder who speaks English with a weird German accent on his shirt?! You must be green with envy.
-
Im just in the middle of watching that. They are currently getting towed to safety..... 180040 safety

Blatantly can't handle his drink like.

Gemmill that's the first positive thing you've written in weeks but I think although you maybe right, the club is going about it in the wrong way. And hopefully Charlie won't look at it in the same way I can see it. I did say the term selling club was wrong and yes I know Ginola wanted to go but Sir Les didn't. 179986 What way are we going about it that needs changing? What way are you seeing things? We can't have just one left winger at the club. These lads have been brought up through youth systems and in squad environments where there was always competition for places. It'll be no surprise to N'Zogbia to be in a position of having to fight for a place. It'll be like that at any club he might leave us for as well. 179991 Gemmill, you do your job. You think you are doing it well because all your colleagues tell you how good you are doing. Your clients think you are great as you provide them with exactly what they want but your young and upcoming. Then one day your boss hires someone else, someone who does your exact job. You know there isn't enough work for two people with the same set of skills but they hire them anyway. He's older. You know he will want more respect from your boss. How do you feel? Yes, yes I know professional football is different. But if you are on the up, and there is no doubt N'Zogbia is on the up, and another player, not a squad player, is signed because he is a bargain, because he's publically stated he "wants first team football," how do you react, what do you think the manager's opinion of you is? 179995 Sammy man, every player at every club should be under pressure for his place. It's a fact of life in team sports. What do you suggest, that we have N'Zogbia and then intentionally buy a player that isn't as good as him to make him feel special? He'll get his chance to shine, I'm certain of it - I'm pleased to be able to say that he's TOO GOOD not to be given his chance (when was the last time we had a young player at Newcastle we could say that about?!). What he won't get is an easy ride as first choice with nothing to spur him on. He'll be a better player for this competition and for having a player like Duff to learn from, I'm sure.

We used to be a selling club sammy. We're not any more and haven't been for a long time now. Ferdinand and Ginola were not examples of a selling club btw. Nobody wants N'Zogbia to leave, but Duff's a better player on the wing, so unless he plays in a midfield five, he'll have to sit out his fair share of games. He's only 20 though and he needs to understand this. Sounded like Roeder is all too aware of what a talent we have on our hands, and I think we can trust him to look after the club's interests where N'Zogbia is concerned.

San Fran. My mates dad lives over there. Were planning on hitting Vegas etc. as well. 179959 Definitely go then. Hire a car in SF and go down the Pacific Coast Highway (the scenery is amazing) to Santa Monica - stop off at Monterey, Carmel and Santa Barbara on the way to have a look. Stop for a night at Big Sur as well. Hotel Carmel in Santa Monica is cheapish and not far from the beach. Then drive from there to the Grand Canyon then onto Vegas from there, via the Hoover Dam. Then make your way back to SF to fly home. You can visit Death Valley as a detour on the way back, although it'll probably still be a bit hot in October. Similar to the holiday I did in 99. You'd have a class time even by yourself. DO IT!

jealous tbh.. 179942 Get yourself some photos of Bongo and The Wedge. That'll make you feel better. 179949 Even better, become Bongo and Wedge's groupy beeyitch. 179955 And get photos?
-
Oh, and we're not a selling club either.
-
You either start a sentence with FACT! or you end it with FACT! To do both is bad form tbh. FACT!
