1. Never mind you're off out, Hayton. It's probably your fault that it broke in the first place. I'm afraid you're gonna have to disappoint the wife and kids and crack on with this this afternoon.
2. Not helping him either that Shola looked a bit like "old Shola" yesterday rather than the "new Shola" we've seen of late. Hope this isn't one of those where in 3 months time they'll be saying "he's been playing with that hip injury of his all season". No excuses from the club this time - that should have been sorted. Feel sorry for Shola if he's still carrying that two seasons later. They would never take the piss like that with someone like Owen.
3. Nice one. Don't know how long it took or how much effort was involved, but it's appreciated. Cheers.
4. Aye, you might be right. Fingers crossed.
5. He has never really played somewhere else, so the difference is marginally tbh 195822 Nonsense. Look at the way the bloke is built. Without wanting to over-generalise, the majority of African footballers are ox-strong. I can count the exceptions on one hand. There have to be very small oxes where you are from. I really start to worry. The only really pacey thing he showed yesterday was how quick he can fall to the floor when being physically challenged. I have to agree with Isegrim like. He does not look like the powerful player I thought he was supposed to be. As I keep saying, it's still very early days, but in physical battles so far to date I don't think I've seen him come off best once.
6. The whole match was shit man. We looked pretty much clueless all game. The positivity in the face of all evidence to the contrary thing isn't working. 196085 If the match had finished after 80 minutes, we'd have been praising the contributions of the midfield, saying that the defence had done pretty well, and preaching patience over the front two. As it is, the defence blotted their copybook big-time in the last 10 minutes, and the overall feeling is entirely one of disappointment. I disagree that we looked clueless all game, there were a few very promising moves that hopefully bode well for the future once everyone has settled in. 196102 The game lasted 90 minutes though, and having not threatened us for the previous 80, Fulham all of a sudden decided to give it a go, and we completely folded. As I've said elsewhere, we were ok in midfield. Everywhere else we were poor though. The defence had nothing to do until Fulham decided to score two goals. There's little point in trying to be positive after today, I really don't know what point you're trying to make. The only positive was that the midfield did ok. Not much good when we lost a game we should have walked. Fulham are notoriously bad away from home, and yet we couldn't kill them off and ended up losing the game. We won't get much worse opposition coming to SJP this season. That's pretty worrying if you ask me.
7. You also said that only Henry could have scored the goal Luque scored against Lillestrom, so it's not like you never talk shit. 196080 I dont want to start that debate all over again, but it seems funny to me that nobody mentioned even a remotely similar goal scored by a player in England. Anyway, dont you think I might have been slightly right about the defender thing? 196093 I don't think anyone thought we didn't need to sort the defence out tbh. We needed strikers too though, especially after Owen was injured. We've all been let down by the club, no one wins.

9. The midfield's fine. So's the keeper. It's pretty much everywhere else that we've got problems.

11. 2 on each hand, and it is true what they say about the chinese mouse proportions! Or is that just because you're far away... 196049 C-word!
12. Better than 20/20 is fairly common, I had rediculous eyesight as a child but now it's just very good. It's not like 100%, as the good doctor pointed out, it merely means being able to read from slightly further away than most, should put that on my cv tbh. The girlfriend's also got better than 20/20, it makes her think things are slightly bigger than they are, thankfully. 196045 How many fingers am I holding up?
13. I'm taking some consolation from the fact that Brian McBride is pound for pound as good as any striker in the Premiership.
14. The last time I was with the optometrist he told me "better than 20/20", that was in Ireland, but we seem to use mostly UK systems. 196004 Aye he'd have to be Irish to tell you you've got eye sight better than perfect. Have you got fucking binocular eyes or something? X-ray vision?
15. All of the good will Roeder had built up with me in the run-in last season has pretty much gone, I have to say. I really believed him for most of the transfer window, and now we're fucked. I'll not be making that mistake again. That back four needs major surgery. An idiot can see it, and we should have been working all 3 months of the window to do something about it. Instead we signed Olivier Bernard the day after the window closed. Shambles.
16. Definitely too early to draw any conclusions like, but it won't be long before the crowd is on his back if this keeps up. Looking around today after one or two things he did, and you could see people looking quizzically at their mates as if to say "Is it just me that's thinking he might not be all that good?"
17. Aye, it's hard to say anything other that Roedent's made a fucking mockery of our transfers this summer. His comments on Milner today are also spectacular in their stupidity. Apparently Bullard's dislocated his knee, my first reaction on seeing it on the replay was that he'd never play again. It was one of those where my brain didn't really register it properly as his leg was so out of shape, it looked to me like he must have snapped every ligament in his knee. I half wanted to see it again to try and figure out what I'd seen, I half wanted to go and have a little cry for myself. Can't believe they showed the replay. 196017 This is on Shepherd NOT Roeder. You can't buy what you can't afford 196021 Bollocks, it's on both of them. Portsmouth are top of the league at the minute, having picked up a load of players in an attempt to build a squad. We blew £15m on two. Roeder is as much to blame in all of this as the fat pillock. His programme notes today were pathetic btw - "The majority of Premiership managers are against the window". Aye, that's as may be Glenn, but at least they've the good sense to accept that it's not going anywhere and deal with it appropriately.

Can't believe they showed the replay. 196017 Aye I know I'll be watching it tonight, wanting desperately to look away, but having to satisfy my curiosity. It was weird cos from where I sat it didn't look like much. But then when Parker went down as if he was gonna spew, and then one of his team mates came over and sat down in front of him with his head in his hands, you knew it must have looked pretty awful. Bullard just seemed to sit up and push at his knee as if he was trying to put something back in place or something. Awful like. Gonna be a difficult one to come back from, cos you would think that all the ligaments must be a mess, and the dislocation on top of that. Poor lad. Feel sorry for Parker too cos he clearly felt awful.
19. Hardly heard his name on the radio. Way the team played? His touch? what was up? 196015 Before I say this, it's with the caveat that I know it's only his second game in the Premiership, but: he looks as weak as piss, he doesn't look as fast as I thought he was meant to be, he doesn't like taking his man on (a few times he's got the ball with players ahead of him and you're desperate for him to run at them but he lays it off), he doesn't seem blessed with any skill or trickery. The way we play isn't helping him in the slightest like, and I'm sure he'll get better, but I do have concerns at the minute.
20. What actually happened, did it bend the wrong way? I'm more annoyed after today's shitheap performance than I have been for a long time like. Every fucker knew we needed to sort the defence out, and it was spelled out in spectacular fashion once again today.....only now the bastard window is shut. Totally unacceptable.
21. Not one to kneejerk at all but I'm feeling slightly uneasy at the minute about our £10m man.
22. PS. Ramage is bad enough at fucking right back, but at left back!? Jesus wept tbh. I would sooner have played Zog there and had Solano in midfield. Ramage shouldn't be getting a game unless we're down to 10 fit outfield players and even then I'd be reluctant.
23. Don't really want to see the Bullard incident like. Sounds awful. Does anyone else think he looks like Mrs. Brady, Old Lady btw? That was a fucking shambolic performance today btw. Both teams deserved to lose. Funnily enough we still can't defend. Shame we did nothing to sort that minor issue out in the transfer window. It's gonna be a fucking LONG season.
