Thought Shola had a good game yesterday. He's outmuscling defenders and staying on his feet in a way that we haven't really seen from him much before this season. I think it's really made a difference to him being the big man up front since Shearer's gone. The bloke on the radio was saying that he looks like he's been in the gym all summer bulking up because he's much bigger than he looked last season. Good on him.

Parker was really lucky not to be sent off btw. It's all well and good Roeder saying that Rob Styles looks at situations rather than isolated incidents, and praising him for his performance, but if that had been Lee Bowyer going into those challenges, he would have been off and he would have deserved it. He's going to need to temper things a bit or he'll be picking up a few suspensions this season.

So was it just coincidence that without braindead Bramble's longball buffoonery to drag us down, we played some nice football on the deck and were able to keep a hold of the ball a lot better yesterday? Ok, as an accountant, I don't like the amount of debt we're carrying.
