He then goes on to say that I think we have a divine right to be in the Champions League and to win trophies (I don't by the way, but I'd like to think that we shouldn't be 19th in the league with the money we generate). He then actually says that Shepherd isn't to blame because he didn't make the decisions alone and has people that advise him within the club. So you see it's their fault. Well, and mine. Was thinking about this today. It's about time we took a risk on kids from the Championship instead. I don't know much about Nugent, but it seems to me that it would make more sense paying say £5m for him and giving him a bit of a payrise than paying £10m for a Martins or a Luque and paying them double the wage you would for someone like Nugent. When it comes down to it, the Luque/Martins deal represents a far bigger gamble at a far higher cost.
