  1. The FMV stuff was very conveniently not backwards applicable. Only for new arrangements.
  2. Aye I don't understand the reticence to pad the Supreme Court. I also don't understand how Clarence Thomas is still there given he's been exposed as completely bent (and wasn't he a sex offender on arrival anyway?). Maybe they'll do it if Biden wins a second term. He's got nowt to lose.
  3. That hearing or whatever they call it on immunity was insane. None of this has been required in the history of the country, and they get one bad actor who fills the Supreme Court with corrupted justices, and that's all it took to fuck the whole thing up.
  4. Driscoll took up the entire car park at Wylam a few weeks back doing some promotional event. I had to park on the street to walk the dog. I'm afraid that was NOT a vote winner for him.
  5. It's a Digital Audio Workstation, which is a recording studio in your laptop cos nobody uses tape anymore. In this case it's a maximum of 8 tracks. So it's basically the 21st century equivalent of when kids used to have Tascam 4 and 8 tracks to record their bands onto cassettrs in the 80s/90s, and possibly earlier, I wouldn't know Ableton has sort of a unique setup called Session View which lends itself to DJ stuff too, which is why I thought Gloom might be interested, but you can also record normal instruments (guitars) into it, and there's loads of places online where you can get drum loops and stuff and build out songs. You need a half decent laptop (8gb ram) for it not to just kill your computer, and if you're wanting to plug a guitar in you need an audio interface (think external sound card that is much better than the one that comes with your laptop), which you can get for less than a hundred quid. Once you've got an audio interface you can plug keys and all sorts through that and record on to your computer. It comes with a sampler too so you can (for example) chop up drum tracks into individual hits and then create your own drum track by stitching the sample clips back together. Like the old school hip hop lot would do. Or you can just drop multiple MP3s into different tracks and make your own Wham megamixes. Anyway, it's free to a good home cos I've ended up getting two activation codes for it but I've already got Ableton anyway. First time I used one was this software called Reaper and I couldn't fucking believe that you could do this stuff in your own computer.
  6. Sent. One down, one to go. Anyone else? Anyone have any kids interested in this kind of stuff?
  7. Will sort it this afternoon. 👍
  8. Some tory lists off a bunch of stuff they haven't done and ends with... "Does my right honourable friend agree with me that if he carries on like this he's gonna win the next general election?" Even the Tories are laughing.
  9. Here we go. Gullis. A perfect example of what we were talking about earlier. Got into politics for the trolling opportunities. Just stands up and rabbits like an auctioneer. Sunak should be embarrassed to have to employ that clown to ask set piece questions for him.
  10. Mordaunt looks like she's lost another half stone in the last week. She's desperate for a big loss this Friday. She also loves looking bored as fuck at Sunak's PMQs answers.
  11. You've got teams at the top who don't want the teams below catching up with them, and teams towards the bottom who don't want the teams above getting away from them. It should be self evident that you can't allow the league to self govern.
  12. The Home Office has just released videos of the first migrants being detained to be deported to Rwanda. Just think for a second who they're trying to appeal to with this, to win last minute votes. Horrible.
  13. Gloom, do you want a copy of Ableton Live Lite. 8 tracks to play with, you can mash up all your Conrad Poohs stuff. I'm serious BTW, I've got two activation codes for this thing just sitting around doing nowt. Anyone else has a use for it just shout.
  14. Fucking hell, imagine the PM losing his seat. Definitely booking the Friday off and staying up all night.
  15. If Man City or Real Madrid come in for him, it won't be PSR that's causing him to leave. It'll be the immediacy of success that those teams can offer vs the promise of it here. Totally agree PSR is absolute bullshit though. Whether you believe it's been set up to protect the elite doesn't really matter, what matters is that that's how it's now working. Preventing perfectly sustainable clubs from progressing. The idea that a constantly changing group of 20 clubs gets to decide how it all works is fucking mental too.
  16. Once you've done it once or twice, you'll get used to it, and you'll find it's most of what you post on here.
  17. I might give this place a wide berth myself for a couple of weeks if Bruno goes in the summer. Gonna be a lot of this going on.
  18. I would definitely give this place a wide berth for a week or two if Bruno signs for your lot. As I've said before though, if one of the two best teams in the world comes knocking for him, he'd he crazy not to go, and we're just gonna have to come to terms with that uncomfortable fact. Hope Gloom is right about the clause being for non-domestic clubs only, but I think we'd have a problem with Bruno if we put a £150m price tag on him domestically when there's a £100m one in his contract. I think he'd go for much closer to £100m domestically too.
  19. They need to get VAR in the Championship so that shots that come off the very end of your toes which fool the keeper can be looked at. Fucking out of order that. "Checking for possible end of toes shot" Vardy's missed hat tricks should carry greater weight than an end of toes shot. It's pretty basic stuff and the table would look very different if the EFL would wake up and listen to Keith.
  20. The whole Rwanda thing is the same as Brexit was a few years ago, in the sense that it's an issue that has taken up all the oxygen. It's all anyone talks about, and it's all that fucking idiot PM is focused on. Meanwhile there'll be stuff that is being neglected that he doesn't even know he's neglecting, cos he's somehow become PM within 10 years of becoming an MP, and his time as an MP was spent doing the morning round defending Johnson's latest insanity. I think Starmer is a genuine serious bloke that will do a job far better than anything we've had in the last 14 years, but I worry that Labour are just gonna get blamed for all of this stuff that I'm talking about. That's just stored up waiting for them.
  21. This is no slasher movie. Get it watched.
  22. I'd have Blair back as PM in a heartbeat. The government that we currently have are such fundamentally unserious people. If you look at the degradation in public services and towns, and the roads, etc. That's all surface stuff that we can see that this lot have neglected over the past 14 years, and we see it cos it's in our faces affecting 9ur lives every day. But think of all the unseen stuff. National security, for example. The same neglect will have been brought to bear there, but it's just not visible to us. This will be repeated everywhere in the "what makes up a country, and what a government should be doing". We've got idiots in charge, and there'll be neglect and degradation across the board that we can't even see, but that will have consequences one day. But you know, get your fucking tweet out about the flag on the back of the England shirt, cos that's what being a member of govt is about to this lot. Blair is so far ahead of this lot, they're not even the same species.
  23. Aye the tory one mentioned the word Conservative once. No logo on the page. Just a blue background.
