  1. Now hey! I don't watch that shite! I was at his house a few Fridays back and he wouldn't change channels. She was at someone's funeral even - cheb-watching at a funeral ffs!?
  2. Stephenson is alright. My mate was going mental about her chebs. Reckons she's pregnant and they're masseeve or something.
  3. All soaps are crap man. My dopey stepmother tapes them ALL. I don't know how she has time to do anything else cos if she's not watching them she's reading stupid magazines telling her what's gonna happen next. I don't know what my dad is doing with her, cos he has the same tolerance levels for stupid people as I do.
  4. Corrie's good like. I can't imagine you watching Corrie!
  5. Is there really anything on telly that's essential viewing these days though? I tend to watch stuff I've downloaded, DVDs, or poker stuff. There are no series on telly that I'm desperate to see that I can think of. Apart from X Factor.

    HELP!

can't, I've tried switching it off then hitting F8 as it's loading and that doesn't work, there isn't the option to "switch off and restart in safe mode" when I try turning off as normal and Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't have that option either... only options when I load up are F2 (setup) and F12... something else. hit F8 once per second after switching on I like to give a double-beat on the third second. With a bit of closed hi-hat.
  7. Have you heard of Mattheus Rose? Yerrrrs. It's beneath me though tbh.
  8. Only Fenerbahce can catch us though, right? So even if we get beat, we still win the group if Fenerbahce can't win the next two games. So let's take our chances with that scenario.
  9. I'll give it a go. I'm basically in the market for any fine pink wines.
  10. He wouldn't have known that before the game, dickbrain!
  11. I don't even know what he was thinking. It's as if he fell asleep on the coach and the lads did it without him noticing. No one would stand in front of a mirror, make themselves look like that, then think "Right, NOW I'm ready for 52,000 people and a television audience of millions."
  12. As long as it sells Blossom Hill White Zin, I don't really care tbh.
  13. Well most people on here are saying that Emre should play and Parker shouldn't. Look back a couple of weeks and everyone was saying the opposite. Fickle is the word isn't it? In the same way that Dyer was a figure for hatred on here only a few weeks back? Or it could be that they hadn't seen Emre turn in a performance where he was regularly getting into advanced positions? Something as simple as that. I suspect Dyer remains a figure of hatred amongst those that hated him a few weeks back an'all. Isn't that the point? He's done it in ONE game. Maybe, just maybe, it was nothing to do with Butt or Parker, but to do with what the manager asked him to do? Or perhaps for once in his short Newcastle career he actually played to his potential? Isegrim, are you telling me that people on this thread aren't actually saying don't play Parker? Maybe it is because that's what the manager asked him to do, but the point is that alongside Parker the manager can't ask that of him without asking Parker to be strictly defensive, which he won't do. Which is why people are suggesting that maybe Butt/Emre works better than Parker/Emre. Which you dismiss as laughable when to me it seems common sense. Read the first post for the laughable comment... "Emre is suddenly amazing and Parker is suddenly shit. Laughable." Your words. But nothing like what the vast majority in the thread have said.
  14. Isn't Waitrose a more expensive version of Sainsbury's though? I'd sooner stick with Asda or Tesco tbh. Target in the US is quality though.

  17. I don't really do buffets either mind. I won't do buffets at Indians either. Spence Terrace Chinese Takeaway in North Shields is class and a matter of seconds from my front door. Proper China towns are horrible anyway though. The one in San Francisco is pretty famous, but I ate there once and wouldn't go back due to the impossible-to-identify meats they served up. I'm pretty sure the chicken wasn't chicken. You can ask for special menus on Stowell street too - I once went there with some Chinese collegues and it was disgusting what they served up - hen's feet, pig's brains etc. What Newcastle is really lacking is high quality British and French restaurants though. I can only think of a handful, and they are often over-priced and/or fully booked at the weekend. Oh, and Gemmill, being a regular visitor to the States do I take it you would be happy for what has happened there to happen here? A McDonalds/Burger King/Wendys/KFC/Subway/Pizza Hut/Subway on every city block? And the ubiquitous Wal-Mart to do your grocery shopping? No thanks. Gemmill used to share bags of these with the old dears on the SF Muni bus IIRC? They didn't even look like they'd been washed! Still had chicken shit between the toes.

The strip-mall effect hadn't really happened in San Francisco, although I saw plenty of it driving round elsewhere. I think we're a long way from that happening here tbh, but there are food chains that do decent food over there that I have no problem with. PF Changs for instance is nice for Chinese food (Chinese food for white folk as my Chinese mate that ate in China Town would inform me.) Re grocery shopping, are you gonna tell me you visit local grocers for all of yours and forego the significantly cheaper option of Tesco? I've been challenged to eat chicken's feet once, but I refused. I used to get a bus home that passed through China Town though, and this old biddy got on and sat with a bag of chicken feet, and ate them like you or I would eat a bag of crisps. The scruffy bitch!
  19. Not sure anyone's really saying that to be fair.

  21. Away and shite! And hairy growlers are a serious problem. You sound like the sort of bloke who's happy to go out in polite society with all pubes in his teeth. and that. You disgusting animal!
