  1. You can do all that and I'll still buy stuff online. Also fuck "get office workers into the city".
  2. Same. As sad as it is that it's gone cos it's a bit of an institution, I never bought a guitar from there. Books, CDs when I was younger, and maybe the odd pedal 20 years ago. They did too many things, not well enough.
  3. The wage bill has to get bigger if we want to compete. Of course it impacts your profit, so it impacts your PSR, but we should see this as a positive sign that we're growing and have grown our income to the point where we can start to compete on wages with the big lads.
  4. Something fitting about the fact it's Jo Cox's sister that brought the bill too.
  5. "WHY'S IT NEVER US CELEBRAYUTUN?!" Because you stink.
  6. We've finally entered the big time on wages then. Gonna be a few others looking for a bumper and this won't hurt when we're trying to sign people either.
  7. I understand the arguments of these people, but as Renton says it's a theoretical risk. I still think we're a better society for having this, and I wish it went further as RobinRobin says to allow poor cunts with locked in syndrome, MND, or advancing dementia to say "you know what, I think I've had enough".
  8. He's a great writer and I totally agree with you and strawb. I didn't think it was gonna go through, I thought it would get voted down and it would be another generation at least before there was another chance. To give someone the chance to decide for themselves how they want things to end, and not basically just say "no, suffer til the bitter end".... I don't know why it's taken so long. PS Steamer's greatest triumph. What a typo.

  10. Horrendous that, Gloom. Sorry to hear it. Hope you're looking after yourself as well as your mate.
  11. If today was the day, I hope you and the missus are doing alright. A fucking shite thing to have to go through, there's no getting around it.
  12. Assisted Dying Bill has passed. Majority of 55. Kim Leadbeater has moved a motion to get the ball rolling with Edward Leigh.
  13. Ah really. That is a big shame. The metrocentre one went last year and the Central Arcade one must have been clinging on. Leaves a big gap in Central Arcade too.
  14. Bridget might have to go for not washing her hands after a piss.
  15. It's got numbers in it, you're excused.
  16. Would have been easier to not appoint them to his cabinet if that was what was going on (it's not what's going on).
  17. They've got to start having the balls to explain things. The other lot had press conferences every five minutes to tell steaming piles of lies. He should have called a press conference today and spelled out exactly what Haigh did, and why he is not going to ask someone to resign for an innocent mistake. This business of saying nothing and hoping it will go away or worse still, with this example, doing something fucking ridiculous to make it go away. It isn't working, because the right wing press doesn't want it to go away and will fill the vacuum of the govt's silence with more noise. They need to start coming out and defending themselves.
  18. I've got to produce some slides for the Board while you're mincing about the shops, so no I don't think I will enjoy my Friday. 😑
  19. Andrew's new nickname just dropped.
  20. It's fucking mental to resign for that. She accidentally claimed for her work mobile in an insurance claim, cos she thought it had been in her handbag, and a decade later she's having to resign from the government for it. If this is the bar, expect the press to go digging for similar shit on other people.
