Rio Ferdinand on Lineker's pod saying that Ferguson used to tell the Man United lads when they went away with England "if you play more than 45 this week, you're out of the team on Saturday". He says they usually went away for two England games and, although he didn't do it, there were others who would tell the manager they were tired to skip the second game so they wouldn't lose their club spot.
