  1. Lads, enough with the PMs, I can't reply to all of them. It'll be on iplayer, about 8:05 or so. BBC Breakfast.
  2. ZERO complaints here, but the BBC is gonna get complaints about the cleavage on their North America correspondent Nomia Iqbal, presenting from the RNC this morning. I remember Helen Skelton getting a load of complaints for wearing a slightly too glamorous dress when presenting the Olympics swimming.
  3. It'll be the Green councillor I think. Don't think the Greens won a seat in Yorkshire. Looks like a mad old situation.
  4. The difference between this and mumblefuck with his whispery old man voice ffs.
  5. I'd put me in there. I'd wipe the floor with the fat cunt and his new wide faced VP.
  6. Thought his speech today was good. Obviously he didn't announce we're rejoining so it will have come as a huge disappointment to some of us.
  7. Not sure about tomorrow morning - he'll need to address the nation and he's got covid, but thank fuck it does seem to be looking like it'll actually happen.
  8. What is full gremlin mode? No water and no food after midnight?
  9. You should see him when the cameras are off. He's as sharp as he ever was.
  10. Aye it's just each state wins you a certain number of electoral college votes. That is equivalent to the number of senators (2 from each state) and the number of Congress representatives (which varies state by state based on population). So you win states on the basis of popular vote to amass electoral college votes. You need to get to 270 to win, because there are 538 electoral college votes.
  11. Always need to be wary of these polls where it's "somebody imaginary vs." but Biden just needs to fuck off immediately.
  12. Emily Maitlis is fucking brilliant. Farage is such a little wet fart. No one has asked him to be at this thing and he has no friends there. He's a 60 year old man walking around a conference centre in search of the grift.

    Eddie Howe

I've been saying this on here since Southgate resigned. It's a pretty unique opportunity to pick the job up with this good a squad, this young a squad, two years out from a world cup. Having said that, it's also a World Cup in North America in the summer. It will be fucking BOILING and our squad will have played more games than most going into the tournament. A last 16 tie in Mexico against any non-European side would be a massive struggle, especially with Howe's style of play, which we know he won't compromise on. It could just as easily be England's earliest WC exit for a while if the players wilt in the heat. In fact that might even be the more likely outcome.
  14. Mackems do it with fucking Kate Adie.
  15. They're all doing it. "More instability and upheaval at SJP". All the Newcastle writers. I suspect they're just getting no info on transfers and they have to write something. Having said that though, when you have good players and staff, this is what happens when big jobs come up or a transfer window opens. It's the price you pay for getting better/being good, so we all need to get used to it. The alternative is that you have a manager that nobody would look twice at, but that would also mean it's because they're shit and doing a shit job. Basically we need to stop crying and let the situation play out. I think he'll stay, but if he goes, we'll replace him with another very good manager.
  16. Seriously though, you bring someone like this or Newsom in, and the collective sigh of relief the country would breathe at the prospect of a youthful alternative to Trump. Even Harris. Biden is being pathetic, but it's ridiculous that they haven't been working on him stepping aside, and coming up with a succession plan since a year or so in to his term.
  17. These people are beyond parody.
  18. Still 4 months to go. Loads of time for stuff to change. Our election campaign was 6 weeks and it felt like a lifetime.
  19. Cue Biden ringing into Morning Joe tomorrow and ranting and raving about how the elites can't tell him what to do and he's going nowhere etc etc.
  20. Actually I don't think the nomination is confirmed as being moved out yet, but senior people are saying it needs to be. Sounds like if something is going to be announced, they'll wait until after the RNC so they don't give the Republicans a chance to crow about it or attack a new candidate (say if it was immediately announced that it's Harris).
  21. Adam Schiff has come out publicly and said he needs to step down. Schiff is very senior and well known, but he's also supposedly Pelosi's boy, so this is being seen as actually Pelosi telling Biden to go. There's also supposed to be some kind of virtual roll call before convention to confirm nominations, and they've pushed the date of that back today - Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are behind this move. And finally a poll has come out saying 67% of Democrat voters want Biden to go.
  22. Looks like stuff is happening in the plan to get Biden to step down.
  23. Villa have announced their new pre-season kit. Unclear yet whether they plan to release another one to cover the remaining pre season games. Watch this space.
