Quiet Riot the only survivor in my political podcast cull. That might go the journey too though. Anyway. Tape Notes Podcast. If you like music and listening to people talk about how they recorded their latest album, you might like this. It's a lot of electronic music but the latest episode is Pixies.

Try telling that to Yoko Ono.

The only way to get the messaging right is to dismantle centralised social media. The next 4 years is gonna be Trump doing what he wants, and the algorithm telling everyone what a good lad he is. Who knows, maybe they even build some messaging in to soften everyone up to the idea that, maybe there's no need for an election in 2028, etc. They had their chance to block Musk even buying twitter. He only did it as a fucking joke, but now the joke is on everybody else. He's got a job in the White House.

People voting for Mr Hitler bantz who know all the bad shit and just do it cos they think their financial situation might be 1% better off though. Those people can get fucked. I don't see why we can't blame those people.

I preordered this about 6 months ago. What a day for it to finally be delivered.

I spoke to my mam the other day and her first question was what do you think about the budget. I made the point that I was just pleased it wasn't another managed decline budget, and that whether it worked or not, at least they're trying to do something. To my absolute fucking amazement, she agreed. Then she revealed that she's come off watching rolling news (GB and TalkTV) because it's leaving her permanently enraged. Funny that, almost like it's their business model. Anyway, she'll be back on it before long, but it's amazing what even a couple of weeks of not being told what to think about things by the telly can do for you.

Just realised I'm not gonna win my bets. So the clock on it not affecting my day to day starts tomorrow.

Steve McClaren is the original brolliegarch.

I was talking about things I CAN'T control.

My lass washes everything before it goes in the recycle bin. I need to take her to the tip one day so she can see how fucking spick and span they keep it.

The day it knocks on the door is the day you deal with it. There's signal and there's noise. This affecting me personally may come one day, but in the meantime I can cut out all of the noise really easily by not listening to podcasts that obsess about this stuff, not watching the news, and not doing social media. That removes all of the OMG HES GONNA DO THIS! THEN HE'S GONNA DO THAT! IT'S GONNA BE SO BAD! If the will is there you can cut all of that noise out of your life. I'm not saying you can avoid it altogether. You'll see paper headlines or whatever but you can remove the vast vast majority of it. If you want to.

Yep a much more sensible approach would he to spend the day worrying about a nuke landing on my forehead or a flood washing away my house. That's the way to live.
-
Yes I was being literal. Today is literally where we all live.
-
When you combine it with him saying a few weeks back "don't worry about the votes, we've got the votes", aye maybe.
-
So how specifically is this affecting my day today?
-
I'd love something like that here. It's ridiculous that anyone over 18 or whatever it is, can buy them.
-
Might have to sign off Toontastic as well by the look of it. Christ.
-
Right, well starting with today, it doesn't affect me. Doubt much will change tomorrow either. Or the day after that. Unless I allow it to by wallowing in the misery. That's what I'm talking about.
-
Good time to check out of politics podcasts too. The News Agents have just gone the journey. Others will follow as they pump out the doom and drama.
-
No, it absolutely doesn't affect your day to day. I'll go to work today, do my job, I'll walk the dog, and I'll spend time with my lass in the evening. I won't doomscroll and I won't watch the news. There will inevitably be trickle down effects in our country, of course there will, but that's not my day to day life. That's Keir Starmer's day to day life.

These latinos who voted Trump because when he was talking deportation, he "didn't mean me", but were pretty chill about him meaning someone else.... CAVEAT EMPTOR, BITCH.
-
He dropped it somewhere along the river.

Our estate was like a war zone for a good hour last night. Cat and dog fucking bricking it. It's the only time I wish I was on Facebook so I could go on our estate's shitty Facebook group and tell whoever is setting off the explosions that I hope they take one in the eye.

Fair play to the pollsters BTW. They've finally worked out that America is just packed to the rafters with arseholes.
