  1. I was advising you to leave twitter ffs. "Good luck if you decide to stay on THERE". Not HERE.
  2. Batty, Lee and Shearer vs Georgia apparently.
  3. Nobody is going to dispute your knowledge of cockends.
  4. Have you hipped the cryptobros to this stuff on the discord?
  5. Meanwhile I don't need an algorithm. I implanted the little two note melodic line from Gorillaz' "On Melancholy Hill" into my lass's head just before bed last night and she's woken up today feeling like she's going mad. I just keep dropping in the odd reminder every now and again this morning to keep it fresh for her.
  6. I'm enjoying it. It's Disintegration minus any of the pop songs, which is no bad thing. Added bonus that it matched my pace perfectly.
  7. Right it's going on right now for this morning's run. Because running on pitch black paths with a headtorch on wasn't spooky enough.
  8. I'd add: If you use twitter to talk about Newcastle and don't want to lose that, join Bluesky and ask Kev Lawson to add you to his starter pack. You'll very quickly have hundreds of followers and hundreds of NUFC people in your feed to get your NUFC fix, minus all the bots and blueticks. And most importantly, there's no algorithm on there feeding you one very fucked up man's outlook on the world.
  9. @Tdansmithentirely up to you obviously, but I would strongly recommend coming off twitter. If you don't, it's overwhelmingly likely that Musk's algorithm will do its job and melt your brain. He has it in for this government and this country at the minute, and his algorithm is literally designed to stoke division and hatred. You can let it do its job on you, or you can opt out. Like I say it's up to you, but that website is clearly doing its job at the minute. It won't make you a happier person to stay on there, it'll turn you into a ball of hatred, and a lot of the stuff you'll be wound up about will either be completely untrue or a very one-sided interpretation of the facts. Some of it will be batshit insane propaganda and conspiracy, but the drip drip of more believable stuff will eventually lead you to wonder "well if they did that other stuff, is this really that mental?!". Anyway. My advice. Take it or leave it, but good luck if you decide to stay on there.
  10. I was a big Cure fan as a kid but I haven't listened to it yet. Not sure I've got the angst in me anymore.
  11. You have to become the left wing Andrew Tate. That's all there is to it.
  12. I woke up at 5 and went for a run cos I'm PURE ATHLETE.
  13. Well the league knows it has enough clubs with shareholder loans to win the vote if it introduces an exemption. And that for the exact same reason, it would have difficulty introducing new rules that don't include an exemption. It's the absolutely perfect in-a-nutshell example of why it needs to be independently regulated. Inserting a clause that is likely unlawful because that's the only way to get the rules passed.
  14. The PL is just taking the piss. It needs someone to step in and regulate it asap.
  15. You can't tell a healthcare end user that everything is fine if their experience is telling them otherwise. And this is a nation that is addicted to healthcare. It's what did for the Tories in the end, trying to tell people the economy is great when they can't pay their bills. You can run on promises, and you can get by for a while after you've broken them all, but once people start to feel the effects, it's game over.
  16. Safe to say, with this, the Kennedy appointment, and all the rest of it, the concern that "one day someone will come along and do this competently and then we'll REALLY be in trouble" has been allayed. If there's one thing Americans take seriously, and make more use of than any other country in the world, it's their health care. Putting that fucking corrupt clown in charge of it is going to be felt by everyone, and no one is gonna like it.
  17. Fewer. Fewer principles than your average fentanyl addicted hobo.
