Sounds like she was at least enough of a problem to Ashworth for him to want to leave. I'm not taking a side, I'm just saying that he's reported to have said that he'd have stayed if he knew she was going. As it stands, we lost them both.

Ugh, fucking miserable twats.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Yer a FUCCCCHHHN RRRAT, Maupay! -
Said this at the time when some people were adamant that someone at the club had to be to blame for the PSR situation, and June 30th: it was nobody's fault. We had to go big in that first January window, or else relegation would have meant "the project" was dead on arrival. There would have been a reasonable assumption that we could trade our way out of that hole with the likes of ASM, Wilson, Almiron, etc. But we basically had to out ourselves in a hole to get anywhere. We haven't done anything particularly mental in any window since then. Even in the Jan window before June 30 we thought we could get a good chunk of the PSR hole through selling Almiron but he refused to go. Wilson looked on his way out too but it didn't happen. It's a nightmare set of rules to try and stick to AND make any sort of progress. I think they've done a pretty incredible job tbh, helped massively by Howe and his team being fucking ridiculously good at their jobs.

Closer to £60m we were short. If it was only £30m we'd just have sold one of Anderson/Minteh.

We should batter these tonight really. They've been getting by on moments of individual brilliance, and two of the main sources of that (Rashford and Fernandes) won't be playing, unless he shits himself and brings Rashford back. Let's see what happens, but if nothing else it's a very different feeling going to their place these days, than it has been for the last 30 years.

As long as he keeps them safe, I think they'll keep consuming the Dyche gruel.

Interesting that there were reports in the Athletic of Ashworth saying that if he'd known Staveley was going to leave, he would have stayed. Suggests she was maybe a bit too involved - the fact she kept stepping in to get contract discussions over the line, and seemed to be heavily involved in transfer windows was maybe a problem.

Saka has had surgery on his hamstring so definitely misses both legs of the semi final. Out for a couple of months.

Aye. New Wolves boss, 7 points from his first 3 games. Howe clearly making a difference to us, because he had no other choice. Amorim though is returning relegation form results. They're not a great squad, but they're not that bad.

It's good TV like. I don't know anything about him other than he has a YouTube channel that I haven't seen a minute of.

Anyone watching Beast Games on Prime? It's fucking mental. People are deranged.

Every time they show Ange stood with his arms folded staring, it feels like they should be playing the Hamlet advert music over it. Bentancur suspended for our game against them too.

Wolves ahead against Spurs. Would be his third win out of 3 if they pull this off. It's fine that the lad at Man United has lost 4 out of 5 though, cos it's the players' fault and he only knows how to play one system.

Ignore this one, PL, he's temporarily delirious cos he's been sat in shat Tena Men for the last hour and is high on the smell of his own muck. Prostatitis. Which felt like someone slowly clenching a fist in my perineum, unclenching for 3 seconds, and then starting the process all over again.

You two sound like the sort of people that would keep working if you won the lottery. "I said I like the routine. What did I say Betty?" "You said you've got no fucking imagination is what you said, wypoopie"

That sounds quite a bit worse than mine. The guidance that the GP sent me suggested the use of them was reviewed in 2023 cos of the number and severity of the side effects. It said they still use them for some "life threatening infections" so I'm not sure if it was the right thing for what I had. Trimethoprim, I'm on now.

Aye I blasted through that in a couple of days and thought it was good. Completely daft but entertaining. The two lass assassins are canny funny as well.

Sounds like we've all got a great 2025 to look forward to. I'm sure these will sort it, cheers. The thing with my hands and feet has all but resolved itself too.

Aye I've got a course for this thing. I find the same as you, you're much better off something structured than trying to dot around on YouTube. There's a lad on YouTube whose channel is called Seed To Stage. He has a bunch of courses on his website which aren't cheap but I find him to be really good at explaining stuff. Actually, sonic academy is really good too. They've got specific Ableton courses but they've also got loads of "build a track from scratch" stuff in different styles. There's a bloke called P-LASK that does all of his courses on Ableton and covers mainly house music, and he's a really good teacher. Allows you to learn as you're actually making something, which always makes things less dry than just "and this is an instrument rack. This is an effects rack". Your best bet on there is to just do the £10 a month sub and then you've got access to all of their courses. Blufmunkey is another really good teacher on there, who focuses on Ableton. When you've finished with all that, Mr. Bill's Abletoneer thing is good. He's like an Ableton savant though and can move quite quickly, but he's unreal. But I wouldn't try and learn the basics from him.

Been on it this morning for a bit. Just settling down to it again. I'm telling you, it's hours of fun.

There's worse than that on the list for this antibiotic. Mental health problems, including suicidal thoughts for one - it specifically says you will not realise this is happening, so it's essential you inform friends and family you're on these tablets, so they can spot the behavioural changes. Also tendinopathy. It also helpfully says that some of this may be permanently disabling and may not even come on until months after you've stopped taking them. I mean fucking hell. When I told the doc what was happening to me, he tried to convince me to just stick with them, until I pointed out that this side effect was one of the ones in the bold boxed off section on the guidance, which specifically said stop taking them immediately and contact the doctor. He then goes "well hopefully the thing with your hands and feet clears up then". Aye hopefully.
-
Came off the last antibiotics cos they gave me pain in my hands and feet - as if I'd been out having a bare hands snowball fight for an hour, that sort of hot, itchy palms feeling but in the soles of my feet too. Lovely. So I'm now on a different kind. Not as strong and, on the doc's advice I left it a couple of days to see if symptoms returned. So I'm not exactly back to square one, but definitely no longer feel fixed.

I think it trivialises alcoholism when you lump in people who just don't know their limit on a night out. Or who like a binge both nights on a weekend. Anyway we're not gonna agree, and it's not really the point.
-
Going over the top when you have a drink is not the same as being an alcoholic. If you're not addicted, you're not an alcoholic. An alcoholic spends a week in a hospital bed being pulled back from the brink and goes home via the off licence. We're not talking about someone who doesn't trust themselves not to go daft on a night out.
