  1. I think that's all that really counts here though. I think the Palestinian people (not Hamas) are good guys too. I dislike the term freedom fighters, they are terrorists. What they did was commit an act of terror and it should be labelled accordingly. I think most people on the left other than the outwardly vocal ones you've mentioned will agree with that but I think the left are more inclined to accept the humanity of the Palestinians along with the humanity of the Israelis. The right see them as Muslims, and they are all the same etc so will stand with Israel because they are perpetually bigoted and have decided that they will hate Muslims this generation.
  2. The value isn't constantly falling though, this is incorrect. Between 2014 - 2018 the value of Sterling in circulation increased year on year by roughly 1% per year. Then covid and brexit happened. So far this year the value of Sterling in circulation has held steady to 2022. Still lower than 2018, but hasn't fallen compared to the prior year (it's actually increased by 0.08%). Average value is largely static and has really only been affected by economic uncertainty in the country so it's incorrect to make out that it is in a constant decline. Bitcoin prices have dropped substantially and increased again over that same time period. In October 2021 the price was $61k, a year later it was down to $16k, and even now it's only back up to $28k. It's value has risen over a very short lifespan, but it's far, far more volatile than traditional currency.
  3. Roy Carroll has entered the chat and is fucking seething....
  4. The problem is that this is not what Hamas are doing or have done. They have endangered the lives of Palestinians even more with their actions. They exist to wipe Israel and all Jews off the face of the earth, it's their sole aim - They will use innocent Palestinians as human shields to achieve this if they have to. Hamas has never given a shit about Palestinian casualties, and they never will. I would argue that the current Israeli government has the same attitude towards the Israeli citizens, though would not outwardly admit to it. I read this as he's trying to point out that it isn't the fault of Jewish people for the acts of Hamas, which is completely true, as is it is not the fault of Muslims for the acts of the IDF.
  5. 10 months of getting to grips with Howe's intense training and tactics at a much lower risk of injury. Also, 10 months to get fluent in Geordie. This could well be him once he returns.
  6. Bitcoin is digital, it was quite literally conjured out of nothing. Actual currency needs to be manufactured, and creating more of it devalues the amount currently in circulation so they tend to avoid doing it on a large scale. Last major increase in volume was in 2021 for Sterling, so not like they are churning them out constantly.
  7. I would be when I tried to set up an account with RTG it said it thinks I am a bot and banned me - I was hoping to get access to their private sections for the ultimate laugh factor, but apparently I'm bender from Futurama and can go fuck myself.
  8. So much to unpack here. Howe comments on player in his squad and his gambling addiction but can't comment on Saudi's treatment of LGBTQ and women which has no relation to football at all. How are they remotely the same? Also, pretty sure it was proven that Johnson had admitted to the CEO and manager (fat Sam?) before he admitted it to the police and they knowingly played him anyway, whilst their fans lovingly sang he shags who he wants.
  9. Because the guv'ment saw Breaking Bad and they think everyone with sinusitis is cooking meth in their duds.
  10. Fly into Newcastle Airport, dump your stuff at your hotel, jump on the metro for an hour to go to a fanzone, jump back on the metro for an hour for the match. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
  11. "Hello Dortmund fans, we have set up a black and yellow gazeybo for you in the byewtiful city of Sunderland. Well it is a city, it doesn't need an airport. Technically, the mags don't have an airport either, it's in Ponteland. Cathedral? The mags have two, they stole one them from us, marra. Do you want the use of the gazeybo or not? Where is it? Pennywell marra. Hello?"
  12. Head above the parapet here, but we pagger Milan at home. Trippier has Leao scouted now and Lascelles will nut the nose off that outrageously handsome Frenchman. Either that or Wilson, Schar and Giroud will have a Zoolander vs Hansel style walk off all game instead. Dortmund we'll turn up with our vuvuzelas to drown out them annoying fucking drums and snap their centre backs early and beat them 2-0 to overturn the home match. The PSG match is nailed on to be invaded by a just stop oil fanatic since it never happened in the home match - match written off as a 0-0 draw.
  13. Very true. Plus most right backs shit their pants whenever someone built like Joelinton is running directly at them. They can chop down players like Gordon but they are getting steamrolled by big Joe.
  14. I think we get more from Joelinton wide left, interchanging with Willock than we do when we have him as an out and out centre mid tbh. He picks up less cards from reckless challenges and got a few goals from Willock's overlapping runs. Plus he's a fucking beast at holding the ball in the corner to kill time at the end of games.
  15. Aye, that last point is massively important here. If Hamas were removed then it would remove the excuse (at least from Israel's side). No Hamas, no reason to do the rest of the shit you've already outlined. My gut feeling though, no Hamas would strengthen the ultra nationalists in power and would likely make things even worse in Gaza. However, it would then be very difficult for Israel's allies in the West to defend them - not to mention fuck up any hope of normalisation in the region (if it's not already fucked up). As it stands there are a range of outcomes given the nature of those in power on both sides, and none of those outcomes appear positive.
  16. And that one offence should see them get a 50 point deduction for the next five seasons, fuck them. I am more benevolent towards Man City as they always vote in our favour with the PL (or at worst abstain) as fellow gulf state owned beheading enthusiasts trying to ensure they can bring in dodgy gulf state owned commercial deals to buy £100m world beaters.
  17. In summary we're still fucking mint despite losing a tight game to a very good Dortmund side?
  18. I wholeheartedly agree so long as we included it in the loan agreement that he can be recalled at any point.
  19. I'd rather big Joe out wide and Gordon through the middle. Especially once Willock gets back on it. Big Joe and little Joe were deadly down the left last season.
  20. Pretty sure he's played most of his games in our youth set up as a striker (happy to be corrected). Plus he was up top when he scored in the Saudi friendlies during the WC I am sure.
  21. On the 12th point of Christmas my true love gave to me......an Everton relegation, 11......
  22. Parkinson featured a few times in preseason, but not sure if he's a) good enough or b) remotely ready. I think the club has initially hoped Dylan Stephenson would be the third option and his loan at the end of last season was to prepare him, but it didn't exactly go particularly well for him in Scotland.
