I still find photos of Iran from the 60s/70s before the revolution absolutely mind-blowing. It's somehow culturally regressed by hundreds of years in the 40 years since the nutters took power.
-
If Iran are funding Hamas though, and that intelligence is readily available to the Saudi government/military then surely this attack does nothing more than drive KSA and Israel closer to normalisation? If anything, what they have done is further increase the prospect of peace in the middle east with this attack, as mad as that sounds given everything that's happened over the last few days. Israel have been unusually restrained in their response so far (cutting off utilities is far less severe than carpetbombing Gaza) possibly due to the ongoing hostage situation, but perhaps it is politically motivated too.

Was it your £1,700 they had in the bank at the point the winding up order came in? -
What's the title, it may well be on other review sites with equally hilarious reviews?

Exactly what I thought - you can literally make out the silver of the can behind the one on the left - which is strange giving the rich energy cans seem solid black -
Surely this could be counter-productive to Hamas though, as it's hardly going to make Israel look like the aggressors in the conflict - and so far they have been very restrained compared to historical conflicts (partly due to the hostages, but perhaps due to ongoing discussions with KSA too?). If both KSA and Israel are serious about normalisation then it could end up working against Hamas, as it's effectively driving them into each others arms. KSA will surely condemn the actions of Hamas, and could even align itself with Israel in the conflict which weakens Hamas even further.

I think travellingman is a raging Islamophobe. Pretty much all (if not all) the terrorist attacks since 9/11 on UK soil have been be UK nationals if memory serves - 7/7, that gimp with the shoe bomb, the divvy that drove a car into Glasgow Airport and got chinned, Lee Rigby's killers, the Westminster incident etc. Pretty sure they were all from the UK. He won't care though, because they're Muslim and therefore he doesn't count them as British.

Exactly - Plus he'd be going to Liverpool to act as their defensive mid to allow Mac Allister and Szoboszlai to get further forward. He's already miserable doing that here (and admittedly isn't his strongest role), so not sure he'd be any happier there than here. Not to mention his ken would get screwed by his own fans the second he's on the team bus.

Aye strategically it makes complete sense, but morally it's a bit of a tit for tat. At least by announcing this Israel have backed themselves into a corner to honour it if and when the hostages are returned. I think they are hoping that the Palestinian people will rise up and demand Hamas do the right thing for the good of Palestine, but I doubt Hamas will give a shit.
-
The vagueness of the release clause is something to consider though. It could easily only apply to clubs overseas (or very specific clubs like Mac Allister had in his contract at Brighton). It could be that we could charge Man City or Liverpool £200m but Real Madrid or Bayern can have him for half of that. Plus I'd like to think that he'd have the respect for the club and it's fans not to fuck off what are becoming like for like competitors the better we do.

Aye, he left to preserve his England status (won by his form for us), only to be dropped anyway - He was desperate to come back in the Jan window when we were in the championship - with Rafa agreeing a fee and his wages, but Ashley wouldn't sanction it. Shame really - he'd probably have still been here for the early Howe days, but then we'd probably never have signed Miggy.

The scary and sad part is, that saying is equally applicable to Palestinians. Each believe the other hates them and wants them wiped out, and it most likely couldn't be further from the truth. I bet a very quick search on google would highlight unbelievable acts of kindness on both sides, which is extraordinary given the potential repercussions they face. Hamas in charge of one side and an ultra-nationalist (or a bloke backed by ultra-nationalists) on the other will never bring peace. It's just two sets of nutters fixing for a scrap.

I think it just goes to show the power the media has on public perception really. A handful of extremists carried out 9/11 and pushed a load of right leaning dickheads further to the right and gave them unwritten permission to attack an entire race of people. Tommy Robinson and his little band of braindead idiots might try and pretend it was only Islam they had an issue with, but I have Hindu friends who have awful stories of these morons throwing things, spitting and abusing them just after the attacks on the trade centre just because they "looked" like them. The same is equally true for Jewish people I have no doubt. It's all appalling, and even more shocking that it still happens in 2023.
-
I think it's important to remember why Israel exists (as well as it's right to exist), but also what the long term impact it has had on the Palestinians too. They never really had a say in the creation of Israel, and if that's not managed with empathy then it allows hatred to grow and fester, and what has happened since becomes sadly inevitable. Hamas should be strung up for their actions, but it shouldn't come at the cost of the innocent people who also just want the right to exist, the same as their neighbours.

They loved it because he has a big mouth and was everywhere for a spell. They learn nowt, you'd think following Steward Donald they'd know better than get overly fond of a big mouthed grifter. TBH I miss Donald, listening to him get annihilated on Talk Sport, and yet constantly ringing in regardless made the commute home better. Not to mention the stick he'd get on Twitter (people calling him a paedo for his wife being slightly younger, or asking how big her dick was etc) -
Maybe he's hoping Tyson Fury will let him touch his pee pee.
-
Rafa also had him wide right too, and I vaguely remember him rocketing a shot in with his left. It was his only play mind you, cut in and shoot. I reckon that Townsend (when he was 24/25) in this side could have been fucking deadly though. He'd have been a class option against all those low block wankers last season that we drew with because we couldn't break them down - purely because he'd take a shot from anywhere and we were scared to do that in spells last year.
-
I think, like I presume is the case with most Israelis, we'd want immediate action against those responsible. Then a sickening sense of guilt/remorse (for most) when we realise our government has sanctioned cutting off basic utilities to innocent families including children, as well as flattening residential areas filled with innocent people. I'd like to think most Russians have that same view of Ukraine too, even if they are too scared to speak out for fear of repercussion. Who we determine as responsible and who the government ultimately target are often two different things. Same as Iraq/Afghanistan. War crimes are just terrorist attacks under a different name IMO. No one comes out of it looking good, and it is only the innocent who will suffer the consequences.
-
You've got to respect his determination, no one will get in the way of him and his goals. However, a quick sweep back and I reckon if someone posted a live fight on YT of two spice heads scrapping at Gateshead Interchange he'd knock up a quick graphic on photoshop and market it here like it's rumble in the jungle revisited

Forgot all about that prick - he was everywhere for about a week, though I am still yet to see his energy drink in any shop, including my local offy that has pretty much every taurine related beverage in existence. -
Townsend was very two footed from memory. He's scored absolute thunderbastards with both feet. Pretty much every goal he has ever scored was a beauty though, and my memory is dog shit

Shouldn't "are you not entertained?" come after the fights, or the very least during? Also promising blood that may not come is awfully presumptuous. Also this card and the lord being merciful seem like they'd be mutually exclusive. To sum up, I'd rather de-crease my bollocks in a trouser press. Thanks for sharing though mate 👍
