Small time Charlies

It’s pretty transparent what the posh twit is up to. He’ll have never heard of them hailing from oxford. Same as our fat cunt owner from maidenhead wont have given a toss about us till he bought the club
-
This atuff about having a soft spot for Sunderland from an early age Load of made up shite. Sounds better than “I’d never really heard of you to be honest but you were going cheap, so I thought fuck it, why not?”
-
Because there’s nothing else. We’re the only thing that gives them relevance, and let’s face it, we’re mediocre PL also rans (and only because we have a world class manager). If it wasn’t so funny it would be sad and baffling

It’ll be Jack the Sack in six months’ time

The Care in The Community Club

I bet Charnley still lives with his parents. It would be fiscally irresponsible to get his own house.
-
Our ambition is to live within our means. None of this ‘hopes and dreams’ nonsense, what’s that about?
-
I’m baffled that they have such faith in Donny when its clear he’s got bugger all money. Just cos him and his posh mate sound like decent blokes. Fine words and good intentions count for fuck all when you’re bleeding cash out of your arse. This won’t end well
-
I also dont get where these debt free bollocks comes from. Theyve got players on huge contracts who havent fucked off and by all accounts they still owe Sizeable deferred transfer payments. We saw from our own books what a financial disaster one season of relegation was for us; they’ve had a double relegation to a league with fuck all money in it. They’ll quickly run up a heap of debt with no way to pay it back even if theyre debt free on day one. If they slash and burn their costs it will be hard to get back up, and they still desperately need deadbeats like rodwell to voluntarily go. And thats assuming Short hasn’t ringfenced the parachute payments for himself, which he probably has. They look fucked iyam. The best they can hope for is a quick promotion and these guys flick the club on to someone who can fund it properly. Which is probably their plan anyway.

The penny will drop sooner or later that their new owners are Arthur Daley and Tim Nice But Dim. There’s no evidence these two have any money or clue what they’re doing.
-
Sounds like they’ve been bought by a couple of clueless chancers......this has disaster written all over it iyam
-
bit of a step down from Eastleigh, mind you

I doubt he’d want to go back to England at this stage of his career anyway

Best of luck with it Strawb

I have a big deck whereas he has a large seating area

I want my wife to sit on my deck

There was a clear inference of consequences

Thanks mate. She didn’t want to watch it alone....I didn’t want to watch it at all.....there was blackmail involved.....
-
I was forced to watch by the missus. What a pile of cack....the only thing I enjoyed was Bishop Curry and watching Betty and Phil squirm with embarrassment
-
I think it was in the Chronicle. I realise it might be bullshit but it seemed like one reason the wage bill might have spiked. And there must be agood reason... I cant believe that Ashley would generally sanction such a big spike in wages even if we hadnt been relegated
-
Apparently if a player is permanently out of the first team squad, like Colback is now, his wages over the remainder of his contract have to be expensed straight away. If there were a few of those in the 2017 accounts, it might explain why the loss was so high. In effect it’s treating those wages as paid upfront.

Presumably it depends on how they define fit & proper
