  1. I’ll be very surprised if we get anyone else in. Benitez says he needs 3 or 4 players in, we go through the motions on deadline day, lots of rumours circulate and nothing happens. We’ve seen it all before.
  2. With a normal owner, you might conclude that the unwillingness to spend money on transfers is evidence that he is selling the club. Unfortunately with Ashley it’s just normal transfer window behaviour.
  3. My expectations are pretty low under this regime but as things stand we are going to struggle. It’s sad to see Benitez treated like a mug, it really is.
  4. I’m not expecting respect for employees from Mike Ashley. It’s almost like he’s a cunt who’s ruined our football club
  5. What a farce. I don’t have it in me to get angry after 10 years of this bullshit
  6. This is why we need a decent squad. Whereas Ashley is happy to gamble on the fitness of first teamers, cos it saves him money
  7. Absolutely, what a cunt. Effectively saying football clubs are there to make money for the owners, not to win things for the supporters. Our record in the cups shows we don’t take them seriously
  8. We need Barry Fry to piss on each corner flag to break the curse
  9. So this Japanese lad Muto scored 8 goals in the bundesliga last season. I mean no disrespect but......he sounds quite shit
  10. Unfortunately we’ve seen the current shitshow time and again. We leave our business till the last minute either because we’re lowballing on wages and fees or because we dont want to pay wages in June/July. We give rafa little money to spend and drag our heels when he does line up transfers. So what happens is all the decent players sign elsewhere and we end up rummaging in the bin end for free transfers and loans. Cue high fives between Charnley and Ashley for another successful window (for the bank manager)
  11. A net spend of zero prices in the cost of the player’s wages and agents fees. This is how these chumps work
  12. It’s fiscally responsible to monitor situations. It’s what makes us pound for pound the best club at wiping our nose.
  13. I’d say it’s disappointing but it’s absolutely to be expected.
  14. Btw west ham have spent just under 100 mill Euros on transfers this summer according to Transfermarkt. Not including the wages of the players over the lifetime of their contracts. That’s the benchmark, not 100 mill over 3 years
  15. So, this “war chest” turns out to be 30 mill a year or less than two Rondons. And that’s before the usual nonsense about the transfer budget including wages. What a load of bullshit, no wonder he’s not signing
  16. I agree, he is a horrible nasty cunt. I think he’s stubbornly holding out for a big profit on his shares, and it suits him to make mugs of the supporters in the meantime. Probably gives him a hard on tbh
  17. You’re probably right about the stand off but I have no faith in Ashley to invest properly in the players and club infrastructure. And evidently neither does Benitez (and who can blame him?)
  18. If a football club exists to entertain its supporters and compete for trophies, then there’s no point to us and hasn’t been for a long time. I dont think Ashley gives a fuck about anything other than the finances, and is only our owner because his greed or pride won’t permit him to sell up for less than a massive profit. Since he overpaid in the first place, we’re stuck with him and the club is being slowly but surely strangled by hus stupidity and indifference. Supporting a club is ultimately pointless without hope, however misplaced it might be. With Ashley there’s little hope of better days ahead, we will always be cut price also rans at best.....and with this fucking clown show, we’re only ever a mclaren or kinnear away from disaster. Once Benitez walks - as he surely will sooner or later - we will be royally fucked. I’m sorry to go full Trooper but I don’t see better days ahead until Ashley fucks off and that might depend solely on the strength of his cardiac system.
