Who think the search for new owners will end well?
Kitman replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Apart from those three you mention can you see any other club, in their right mind, buying any of your squad and paying them the money they are on now? Cos I can't. Nope, I think you're right. The deal would have to be low/no transfer fee to compensate for paying higher wages, or the player accepts a lower wage in return for a ticket on the lifeboat. But the hope would be there might be some "bargain" hunters if we're looking to get shot of players off the wage bill rather than making money back on transfer fees. FWIW I think our best bet is if Fat Sam takes off our hands some of the turkeys he's responsible for signing. -
It might be more a case of nobody wanting him
-
tbh I'm filled with dread about any new owner but I also hope they'll be better than the last bunch of clowns. Maybe it's best just to stay indifferent, as it's what they do that counts not the bullshit they come out with. You never know we might be pleasantly surprised.

Spanish funny money innit. God knows where they're getting it from.
-
Or Agent Smith from the Matrix?
-
Nah man, they always have to be fat clowns. It's a condition of ownership.

He wouldn't have needed to be if we hadn't chucked a new contract at him in January. That's where money has been pissed down the drain tbh. Fucking Kinnear. Ashley appointed him tbh (and surely must have sanctioned Stroller's new deal?) Of course but anyone involved in that contract decision should be sanctioned for termination - and I don't mean a P45. They couldn't bear to see an 'asset' walk away on a free. Or in Shola's case stand around for a while, walk, trip over, stand around a bit longer, foul the receptionist, walk a bit, shout at the security guard, and get escorted from the building for causing an obstruction.

They'll have to rename themselves the Unprofitable Group if they buy us
-
Don't we have very few players between 25 and 30 (ie, in their prime)? Virtually the whole squad is wet behind the ears or over the hill. The ones we do have are generally crocks and criminals too. Statistics can mislead. Smith, Nolan and Ameobi had their prime years ago. In fact Ameobi may have had a prime bypass as a youngster.

It's not the Coca Cola though

Presumably a chunk of the money goes towards their debt? Glad if he's gone, I'm bored of reading about him going to Madrid every transfer window.

I think it'll turn out sweet, based on nothing at all. Based on the law of karma, we're due our place in the -
He's a grade A cunt is Jimmy 'cuntface' Grieves. I'll be delighted when he can only be contacted through a medium. Seconded. I think he's slagged the toon on numerous occasions too iirc.

That was the first thing I thought when I saw that list. Can't say I'd be bothered if we sold any of that lot. I expect Enrique wants away tbh.

Ace defender Bassong wants to quit crisis club
Kitman replied to Angelus71's topic in Newcastle Forum
We don't have to sell him regardless of how he currently feels. What we need to do is sell him the future, show him he's integral to the first team and convince him the club's going places. We can't do that whilst the club's in a state of crisis and we've no manager. Not so long since he couldn't get a game but you can't blame him for being ambitious. Edit: by going places I don't mean non league football -
Given the facility's at the club and the following, I think we are a bargain, they will need to invest in players, but they will make money if they can commit long term. I guess it would be capital growth but that would need investment as you say, promotion and relative success. Can't see them giving away too many shares to a supporters trust therefore. Plus an exit in the medium term. Needs an investor with money and a clue what they're doing. Who knows if this mob fit the bill....
-
More importantly, how would they make money out of us? We don't exactly have a track record of it........
-
My guess is talk of Barca is a red herring. If they did set up a supporters trust, only a small proportion of the shares would go into it. Assuming this story isn't a load of crap of course
-
Well, I am guessing if we do well: World wide recognition and a lot of moneys. But but......wouldn't that be a lot of moneys that goes to the trust?
-
What would a company get from turning the club into a supporters trust a la Barca? Smells fishy to me......

Noodles not pies?

You've clearly been smoking blowing Parky. Well blow me
-
Yes, presumably the wage bill will start to decrease from 1 July. I think we'll see player sales coming through from that date too. I don't think the club will go into administration personally.

You've clearly been smoking Parky. You couldn't smoke a whole Parky. Not at one sitting
