You cant believe someone as famous as him has no-one to keep a leash on him! There's not a lot you can do if someone's as mad as a box of frogs though

Who knows what the truth is? I certainly think the fat clown would now be thinking seriously of hanging on, given the leap in value if we get promoted. As far as Barclays is concerned, I expect what they'd be prepared to lend will be based on a whole load of different things, not only the state fo the club's operating cashflows but also the security for the overdraft, interest rate and the amount of money the owner/new owner puts up themselves. It's probably all smoke and mirrors anyways

That conference call in full: "Hello? Can I help you?" "Yes. This is Derek Llambias. I'm ringing on behalf of Newcastle United regarding an offer." "OK. What do you want?" "An American Hot. 12 Inch. Deep Crust. Bottle of Pepsi. " "OK. Be with you in less than half an hour." "OK. Deal!"

I thought we'd been banned already

It's been said on here countless times that Ashley is a liar and nothing in the press is reliable. I'm desperate to see the back of him but I won't be singing "Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead" until the ink's dry on the sale contract. Or until I see the fat bastard's feet sticking out from under Dorothy's house, which would be even better.

LOL-zer. Interesting to see if they can buy their way out of this. Or set up their own super league.

which argie you talking about now?

It's bollocks. There is no such things as Sheards group...He just makes up things cause he's got no hair. In psychiatric circles it's called Willow the wisp syndrome. Or even Will O'the Wisp syndrome?

Journos are the ones who perpetuate the myths about us. I expect Woolnough knows Allardyce, who never fails to blame everyone else but himself for his failings.

Maybe we'll bring in some loan signings till Christmas, when the Fat Clown will take a view based on our league position? I got the sense that Championship teams can sign players on loan till November so I wonder whether the idea is to back fill the squad that way. I bloody well hope so as we need good defenders in particular.

I think it's as likely that we'll offer him a deal as he'll get the offer of an all-you-can-eat buffet from his local Chinese restaurant

But we're spoilt for choice with strikers! Ameobi, Carroll, Ranger, Lovenkrands, Smith - what do we need to pay another striker for?! (copyright M Ashley)

If it's a choice between Shearer and Hughton, I'd take Shearer. If it's a choice between Shearer and JFK/DOL, I'd take Shearer. If it's a choice between Shearer and any available manager I'd have an open mind, but we need a long term appointee and I'd question whether a Coppell or Curbishley appointee would fit the bill. Appointing Shearer would be an act of faith but he might have the potential to take the club to the upper reaches of the prem, unlike the likes of Curbishley imo. There's also the important question of who we can realistically get, since most self respecting managers will steer a million miles clear of the clowns currently in charge. In reality I think the choice will be between Hughton and Hughton, with Hughton getting sacked either this season or early next season.

And leicester are supposed to be one of the better...

My thoughts too. He cannot believe what he's seeing with us top of the league and a reduced staff/wage bill. If we get promoted, we MUST be worth more, so, as a gambler, I reckon he's less likely to want to sell right now. Stands to reason. Mind you that means he's likely to sell, having got just about every big decision wrong so far.... -
Fook off, nowt wrong with my speeling Craig Ironing

By the sounds of it we've signed a forward and not sold anyone else? Could've been much worse. Hopefully we can get some defensive cover in on loan.

A lot better than nothing. At least he'd give us options up front and out wide
-
I'm afraid that bit sounds like bullshit given the current state of our finances. 3.5 million rupees maybe.
-
I reckon Hughton would be told not to play him more than 10 times a season.
-
And now that Xisco's gone to Racing Santander?
-
I think it's more likely he watched the highlights with a six pack of Carling and a curry balanced on his capacious gut, before rattling off this article on toilet paper while pinching off his daily loaf.

Now 'lowly rated' I assume. After 18 months with us he should be near the first team in the middle of a striker injury crisis. Sounds like he's never going to make it with us.
