  1. Arguably 500 quid is 500 more than they’re currently worth. Of course that’s not pricing in their limitless potential.
  2. That looks like they offered a homeless man a bottle of white lightning if he would pose in an SAFC shirt and glasses In front of the ground. Presumably he would keep the glasses and give the shirt back.
  3. We thank you for your concern
  4. We’re in Level 3 lockdown here in Auckland for 3 days, which generally means no going out except for essential trips. I was looking forward to 3 days at home doing bugger all but I have to go into the office Thurs and Friday. Well that sucks. It’s a shame there’s a setback and atm no one knows how widespread the community infection is. It sounds like the infected people got around a bit unfortunately. I think we’ve all got complacent here and thought life was back to normal - hopefully just a blip but we’ll see.
  5. Its the attempt to link the PL decision to some sort of moral outcome that’s laughable. Morality has no bearing on it, its purely about money. Yes, we must all rejoice because our would be owners were fucked over by Liverpool and Tottingham because they didnt want their private top 6 members club to be threatened. But thats ok because its the saudis. i just feel so sad for the fans of clubs like man city who must lay awake at night worrying about their owners. You know, the ones we were up in arms about even though nobody can remember any toon fans protesting....
  6. Whatever the exact reason the PL had for obstructing the purchase, you can be sure it had everything to do with money and bugger all to do with human rights (or Kashoggi or the war in Yemen). I doubt they are in the least bit interested in what AI think or say about them.
  7. No-one’s interested in Sunderland, including theIr own fans. If they weren’t talking about us they’d have nothing to do except shit on the seats they replaced free for their fraudulent owners.
  8. I agree. Also betting on our relegation might provoke some modest interest in the results. Not that it would make me want to watch the football, which I expect will involve regular batterings by anyone half decent.
  9. Leeds aspire to establish themselves as a mid table PL side and will no doubt invest to achieve that. Our aim is to finish 17th, advertise Sports Direct and turn a profit whilst spending as little as possible on players and facilities. I can’t imagine why he’s leaving.
  10. I’ve no intention of watching any PL football. The whole thing stinks.
  11. I think it’s a case of “Geordies know your place”. We’re not newsworthy because under Ashley we’re also-rans and whipping boys for the biggest clubs. And it’ll stay that way for as long as the PL is run like a closed shop for the richest clubs. Next season will be about the usual relegation battle, little else imo
  12. He never did give a toss about those things. Same way he never gave a toss about any of the assets/brands he’s acquired over the years and completely run into the ground. He’ll just continue to run the club in the same way he has for the last 12 or so years, he’ll make money one way or another. The PL has stolen the club’s future because now we’re likely to he stuck with Ashley. There’s no point getting upset about it, it’s just the way it is. The football’s fairly irrelevant now, we’re just making up the numbers in a closed shop you can’t break into, I think most people can see that now.
  13. Completely agree. If I was in his shoes I’d be off too.
  14. “little paedo supporting tramps that shite on seats“
  15. The whole thing stinks. It sounds like they deliberately dragged it out to sink the deal.
  16. We should rename this thread “Brucey’s Bargains”. Get ready to be underwhelmed.
  17. Can’t be arsed with it anymore tbh. It’s been a complete waste of time, and I dont know why the saudis would want to pursue it any further, it’s not like it’s a critical deal for the PIF. No doubt social media and the press will be full of made up nonsense and opinion but its not worth wasting any time on it imo
