  1. How much money do we get from SportsDirect's "sponsorship" again?
  2. Well it's true. Honest to god in my social circle and people who care, peripheral people, randoms you chat to, fucking everyone, I know one person who respects Ashley, believe he's a good bloke and has the best interests of the club foremost in his mind. He happens to be one of me best mates, we've had many heated discussions about it. You come on here, you'd think it was a 50/50 split, and it's never geordies supporting him on here neither, Ireland, Stoke, fucking Brighton, London, rarely Newcastle other than silly old cunts like toonpack. Geordies like transparency and straight talking people, Ashley is the complete opposite of both, that's my theory, of course I'm not on about ALL OOT's but just read the likes of here and N-O. Keegan is absolutely idolised on Tyneside, idolised, go anywhere else in the country and he's laughed at, and that's the way it was for some on N-O and here when he left in 2008, I think that sums it up. I dislike Ashley. I idolise Keegan. I am about as OOT as you can get. As it happens the ludicrous anti-Keegan patter was the main reason I stopped going on N-O.
  3. Fit as a lop and even wearing joggers, trainers etc for work so looking the part as well The guy who is overseeing our program has u's down for 5 exercise sessions a week. That can be 3 gym visits, a long walk, a bike ride or 30 minutes using our home equipment etc. Definitely going to try and stick to the five sessions during the course. I was that hyped yesterday I wanted to go back to the Gym! All good stuff so far. Good stuff CT !
  4. Quite clearly, I'm pretty far from being wrong, as other peoples comments illustrate. I'm wrong about plenty things and admit when I am not here though. As I say another pathetic attempt to play Devil's Advocate from yourself. I thought you were in the wrong to be fair, i mean you started the name calling by calling him an "OOT arsehole" or something to that effect, AND to be fair mate, if you mentioned your bankruptcy on here then YOU put it "in the public realm". Should look closer to home I reckon. Offering him out over it is laughable though, we are blokes ffs, takin the piss is what we do, and as i said YOU gave him the ammo. That being said, it's just my opinion and im not having a go at you........ Ivan Drago Why don't YOU leave it Pugface? You're not exactly helping.....
  5. I was into the New Romantics, believe it or not.
  6. I have a workout playlist on my Iphone which is as follows.... How I am not Gay I honestly do not know. No offence to proper gays (can you still say Gay?) Im talking the Howard Brackett gay. I have to say if I died and went to Hell, that's pretty much the sort of music they'd play in a loop. Perhas this is what they use at Guatanamo Bay to break detainees' spirits. Each to their own.
  7. Note to self: stay out of this thread in future, it's a shit soup.
  8. I'm another one who's just dialled into this. Very sorry to hear your bad news, MF, will be tough to cope with so best of luck with it.
  9. Good stuff CT. I suspect in your case, music is the key. Get some bouncy 80s stuff like Gloria Estefan or Wham for your work out, you'll be sorted.
  10. Still can't score, even in League 1. Funny that.
  11. If level of spending is the sole measure of ambition then we should all take our hats off to Rangers and their efforts!! If there is any justice then they should win champions league next year! What is the net spend if you remove the INSANE £35 million for Carroll??? how does the 4 year period you have imposed look then?? Interesting to know that in 19 years Arsenal have a net spend of around £20 million.... wow!! I for one could not give a flying fuck how much the net spend is, I gauge success in the transfer market by how much improvement i can see in the team/squad/club. Given that mistakes have been made, i think the improvement in the team is a mark of how a different approach is (at this moment in time,) getting results and improving the club. If we improve the team and squad AND somehow make some money on transfers, how can that be a bad thing?? Granted i'd like to see the money reinvested, BUT I am showing some faith in the policy of getting value in transfers. Yes, Ashley will not spunk 5 years worth of sponsorship on one player, but how is that wrong, given that the previous approach won us fuck all!! this this and this! It doesnt matter how much we spend on a player. As NUFC fans we should know that, it matters about who we bring in and recently we have brought in some great players! plus Gabriel Obertan
  12. Baffling. I wonder if this about money rather than success. Perhaps Clarke was taking a 'back me or sack me', on the basis he was demanding money for signings/loans to take the club to the next level? Perhaps a Keegan-esque flounce about it 'not being like the brochure' and the chairman's stared him down. Failing that, some personal indiscretion which makes his position untenable (but that being the case, you'd probably expect Clarkey to go quietly). I can't believe it's about results, that would be mental.
  13. Agreed Gem, if you're going to troll a MB at least be subtle or amusing about it. This lad's 2 and 0 It's hammer time, Ant.
  14. I doubt there's a special 'pocket' for transfers, just a bank account. be interesting to see if any of Ashley's loan has been repaid as the club's financial position has improved, anyone know the position on this?
  15. * sigh * You reading this Ant?
  16. Setting the league alight.....
  17. Could be the case but do you not think that could also decribe at LEAST half of all footballers (and us normal folk as well?) ? Also, if he's a jimmy no mates at Liverpool and has taken on the life of a nun then it does not seem to be helping? I personally think living a little helps! I think there's living a little and then there's pissing your talent up the wall, and I suspect he's doing the latter. Probably not an issue while he's young but it'll catch up with him sooner rather than later. And I'd expect LFC would expect him to be ultra-professional for the wedge he's on.
  18. I'm sure that's exactly the sort of thing Ashley would have turned up during due diligence. Oh bugger.
  19. Dalglish won't sell him imo because he would have to admit he'd made a 35 million mistake. I suspect (but can't prove) that we sold him not just because the money was too good to turn down but also because off the field he's a pikey beer swilling burger munching party-till-dawn kind of guy. I suspect he's already hit the high watermark of his career as a result.
  20. as long as you're not epileptic
