If I died and went to hell, I imagine I would be enrolled in CT's exercise group. I'd be 20 stone and forced to listen to Abacab on a 24 hour loop

RIP. Horrible, too young for a heart attack.

I know what I'm going to get when I log into this thread. It's quite comforting really, knowing that the 'anyone but Fred' debate will continue into infinity. I expect that one day, long after the human race has perished, computer bots will doggedly continue the Great Debate.....

Just read O'Neill's comments about Tiote. He's basically saying Tiote shouldn't have gone down like a house of cards when Sessegnon straight armed him in the chest/throat. It's bullshit.....any player is going to go down in those circumstances, whether they're badly hurt or not, they've just been assaulted. I take more issue with Cattermole diving and play acting when he's not been touched. Or what about their pelanty when their player had his shirt grabbed and went down like a sack of spuds? The hypocrisy is staggering. -

Depends how they view what we have and what they see as needed to push on next year. Add to that what Graham Carr can unearth. The last couple of years has seen us upgrade positions so I see no reason why this wont continue. As Parkys HTT post says, the likes of the players we have are not going to want to continually play hoof football. It's not as straightforward as you think, otherwise Obertan wouldn't be a dud footballer with an odd head. And the club will continue to watch every penny, which means a small squad imo. I'd guess one winger max, if Obertan can be moved on........but it's just a guess obviously- 10610 replies

The fact that everyone's talking about the referee and his decisions suggests he's failed. If a referee is fair, consistent and level headed then generally you don't notice them. If the game's all about the referee, his lack of judgement and vanity then they've been poor. Their first responsibility is to explain to the managers/captains how they're going to referee the match beforehand, I wonder if Dean did that? Might have avoided the 20 minutes of thuggery in the first half if he'd said there would be no tolerance of the sort of challenge we saw from Cattermole after 2 minutes, or Williamson's shirt pulling. -

There's no chance imo we'll go out and buy a load of new players though, neither Ashley nor Pardew have shown that's how they work (so far). We'd probably have to shift Obertan first before we acquire one further winger (let alone two) which means admitting that he's failed. In fact this summer window might be more about who leaves/has to leave before someone can come in.........Smith and Loven probably will go but we also need to shift the likes of Xisco, Ranger etc before we can get in a lot of new faces. This based on the focus on controlling wage costs. I'd guess the chances of two new wingers are zero esp with Marveaux yet to come in properly.- 10610 replies

Better wing play from who though? Obertan? Ferguson, obviously. Obviously

If that's right, presumably Cattermole's suspended for 2 games for his yellow cards and then 3 games for the red. -

They set out to kick lumps out of us from the kick off. Cattermole should have been off in the second minute. -
