he hasn't worked a day in years and gets a 4m pay off on top of an inflated salary. It's the stuff of dreams really, at the Bruce/Allardyce level of stealing a living

If they haven't realised by now, you have to wonder if they ever will

It does look good. I still wouldn't want to go there though, even if I still lived in the UK -
Lost in the 95th minute, eh? * snigger * But seriously, they're well placed in the play-off places after many seasons of being a total laughing stock in the lower leagues. And theyre not out of the race for a promotion spot with plenty of points left to play for. Why the fuck would you complain about that off the back of losing to the league leaders? Oh wait, I forgot, they're still a top premier league side, everybody's cup final, or something....

Youre absolutely right Ive conflated the 80s with the 90s, in fact it's all blurred into one decade in my mind at this remove lol. If I think about the 90s stuff I had (CDs in a tower storage unit, naturally) it was Blur, Longpigs, Cast, Oasis. None of which has really stood the test of time.

With the benefit of hindsight I think the LAs and The Stone Roses were the best of the Britpop. And they only made one great album each (the Las only made one album in total). Maybe Oasis in third place as I thought Definitely Maybe was a great record, but I pretty much hated everything they did afterwards. Probably because of Wonderwall and them being massive cunts.

More of a cross to bear

I really hope he can stay fit between now and the end of the season. Our bench is so much stronger with him on it. Obviously they'll have to manage his bench sitting time carefully to avoid a season ending injury.

Be nice to see us win something before I die I expect the entitlement from LFC fans will be off the scale, so would be nice to break their hearts too
-
To win a trophy you have to beat a team like Liverpool. As long as we have a bit of luck with injuries we can beat anybody

Lol the Hot Mitch Mirage more like. Punxutawney Paul is dormant
-
I'm sure Howe is DELIGHTED that the powder is bone dry. All Mitchell needs to do now is get a job offer and go on gardening leave for 12 months. He'll be an absolute legend
-
Mitchell is a useless cunt. Did Lee Charnley get some plastic surgery and blag the interview?

No but I think we would be okay at the back till the summer.....whereas we're thin upfront if Isak and Gordon get injured.
-
I'd say fuck Palace on principle alone. I recall Mitchell saying something like we need to be looking at Europe for better value so it'll be interesting to see if Howe or Mitchell prevail. On the face of it I'd say replacing Schar was more of a summer project but I suppose if Guehi was highly coveted as a long term replacement then they might prioritise him. Personally I'd be looking to get more firepower upfront and threat down the right, if Isak gets injured again we're fucked.
-
I don't get why we would we sign Guehi when Botman and Lascelles will be coming back? Especially since Palace dicked us around to the point we wasted all our time and missed out on other targets. Plus won't Guehi's stock have fallen considerably (haven't seen any Palace games though)? In January I think we will be targetting a permanent right winger, and a striker on loan with option to buy. That's based on nothing at all, so basically pulled out of my arse like this Guehi rumour. However I think Mitchell will want to bring in 2 first team players to make up for his abject summer failure.

So Bruce has been appointed as Blackpool head coach. The owner has described Bruce as "organised" and having "the desire to build a hardworking and entertaining side". Someone hasn't done their own research, he'll be gone by Christmas.

How little attention must the Blackpool board give to football to offer Bruce a paid job? To be fair they're probably too busy joining in stag dos dressed in Kiss Me Kwik hats to run a football club properly -
He's just a sheet metal worker's son from Salford

What a disappointing window this has been. There was plainly money to spend and we wasted all our time and effort on Guehi it seems. I can't believe there was nobody suitable available for CB, RW or a proper understudy for Pope. Somebody at the club has had a shocker and should be shot with shit. If I was Howe Id be livid.
