I don't blame the referee, at full speed it looked like a penalty. When you see it on the telly from behind it's obvious Torres is diving before he makes contact with Anita - if he made contact at all. As you say, Anita should've been wise to it but it's still cheating from Torres imo.

Just seen brief highlights. Am I the only one who thinks Torres obviously cheated for the peno? He was launching himself before he got near Anita who actually pulled his leg out of the way. If Anita touched him at all, it was incidental as Torres was diving anyway. If there was a panel for reviewing dissembling, I reckon Torres would have been done for that. His goal was class though.

Yup, 3 points from 2 games is OK. Hopefully this'll spur some transfer business as you say.

12 mill for the likes of Fletcher is pretty risky. When you marry it up to MON's recent dodgy transfer dealings it's fucking risky. It could work out to be inspired but it's entirely possible they've got an overpriced journeyman who's already had his best season in the prem. Fair play to the owner for his backing though.

I think Pardew sees Jonas as an ever present. I doubt he'll rotate him unless he has to. Marveaux's best bet is to come in though injury or a sub and play his way into being first pick. imo.

Jonas was class against Spurs imo. Marveaux will get his chance sooner or later but I wouldn't drop Jonas for him atm

I think the fault lies with the media that blows smoke up the arses of morons because they're "celebrities". Unfortunately the attention seekers are also often the least interesting or biggest arseholes. Like Michael Owen for instance.
