This is what I think too. I don’t think anybody in the press has the inside track on what’s going on behind the scenes; the owners and management know we are short in attack and Ive no doubt they will address it. The reality is that we are shopping in the high end stores now not Ashleys poundland….so unless the player or the club want a transfer (like pouty Hugo), we will have to prise targets away from unwilling sellers. That process often goes down to deadline day for a number of reasons (and theres also the matter of moving the deadwood on). I doubt its a budgetary issue so much as an availability issue.
