Pardews conservative innit. Tbf its not his fault we have one decent striker who's injured. The chickens are home and roosting on our penny pinching transfer dealings. Yes. And the reality at most clubs is that every player is for sale at the right price. The disappointing thing about Cabaye is that we didn't secure an immediate replacement….would've had the rest of the season to bed in as it pointlessly meandered on. Part of the current model is that we get players at bargain prices, and we're prepared to wait to make that happen (which imo is sub optimal from a team pov) The bargain hunting aspect is what I assume Nicollin is bitching about, but he might just be trying to talk up his players price.

There's not a chance Pardew will be sacked. The most likely punishment imo is a stadium ban till the end of the season. So what…..I doubt very much Ashley cares and he seems to enjoy confounding popular opinion. Carver/Stone will deputise on match days…..I'm not sure what Pardew adds on the sideline anyway.
