Newcastle United - "Tedious soap opera"

John Gregory for the Toon! Someone draw up a dossier -
Too fucking right. I'll not miss him for a second tbh. And I'd be saying that if we'd stayed up.

From Berkshire, eh? Douggy in action. -
School holidays again?

Mental money for Jones. He's a canny enough player (though overated in some circles IMO) but 20 million could buy you far stronger from the continent.

Wise is as much to blame as Ashley.
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Of course he shoulders some of the blame. A totally ignorant attitude to signing players with regards to getting some depth in. If he had a fucking brain in his head, he'd have signed some defensive cover. -
This. We should be pretty busy what with having that small matter of getting a whole new first team in and that.

Wages are the core of our demise.

If we could recoup half of what we paid for Coloccini, I'd be a happy camper. -
Players we could (realistically) sign?
Ayatollah Hermione replied to smoggeordie's topic in Newcastle Forum
So, is this the transfer window where we get linked to every cast-off from the Premiership, every youngster from The Championship, every decent player in the SPL and a few unknown foreigners? -
What a bloke. Need to reject any offers if this is the case. Make the bloke captain and get him some young mistresses.

Just to clear something up, he is due to attend the Supporters' Panel meeting on June 8. The Supporters Panel is set up by the club. NUSC have been making official representation at these meetings since January when about 12 NUSC Committee Members gatecrashed one (he wasn't present at that one), and since then 4-5 NUSC committee members have been present at each one. But just to make absolutely clear, this is something that NUFC organises, not NUSC. Ah, I see. Cheers for that.
-
It's not going to be easy as this though, is it? Isn't the club still wracked with debt? Who will the manager be? Who will these mystery replacements be? Also, no chance of Bassong staying IMO. He's too good to drop with us.

Let's get back to taking the piss
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
btw, I made this thread because if I didn't laugh, I'd cry. -
Self-deprecating is what we do best and while it's heartbreaking to be faced with this and it quite possibly hasn't sunk in yet, we need to stay a bit grounded and rip the piss out of something. Whether it be ourselves, Phil Brown, our upcoming opposition, Ashley, Llambias, Mackems, whatever.
-
See if he retains that air of professionalism when he's getting his bollocks tickled at the NUSC supporter's meeting that's coming up. If he shows.
-
Joey Barton can piss off for all I care. How I laugh when I think of the memories he's provided us; the prison sentence, the McDonalds fiasco, dropkicking a Mackem, snapping Alonso. What a cunt.
-
I forgot to mention it there but I honestly don't think Ashley will appoint him again. I mean, he just can't be that fucking thick. It'll be either Shearer or Dowie IMO and I don't see anyone else that would take the job on
-
Oddly enough, I can't seem to get worked up about this...
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Zathras's topic in Newcastle Forum
I've had a sleep since I got in and am approaching things with a clearer head. I still think it's a disaster for the club in more ways than it's a blessing but this should be a situation that forces restructuring that needed to be in place a long time ago. A period of stability, an attempt to clear out the deadwood and bring in some young, hungry players and a rogering charge back into the Premier League. If we go back up with the gravy train mentality and the frankly embarassing leadership, we'll be in the same position 3 seasons from now. Funnily enough, it might take us slipping down the Football League to become a bit more professional. -
I sincerely hope we get Shearer next season, or at least Dowie because another chop and change or Kinnear could see next season be another disaster. The inevitable has happened but there's always a next season and it needs some stability and clever planning. Just a shame this is NUFC where its hard to find. I'm not looking forward to it though. Once we've had our first experience of a Plymouth hack-fest, we'll soon wish we were battling draws out of Portsmouth IMO.
-
That wasn't a team trying ffs.
-
Just ignore them. They're probably a fucking idiot anyway.
-
Seriously, if you can't take a bit of piss-taking when you're a Newcastle fan of all things, you want to man up. We've been a laughing stock for years and this is just the cherry on top. I've developed such a thick skin to the stupid bastards trying to wind me up that it doesn't even bother me.
-
Ashley wants to do everything in his power to keep Shearer on. Nobody is going to want the fucking thing anyway and if it's Kinnear again, I'll personally march down and box his turnip in.

Yet another example of our pathetic attempts at player recruitment - didn't really have anyone else who could play ther. Edgar is a centre half first and foremost, with bugger all experience, looked out of it and a class below for the whole match. Everytime he got the ball just wanted to get rid. I guess next season he'll potentially be one of our first team central defender (or at least 3rd choice). I'm not blaming Edgar for being inexperienced obviously. I just wonder how shit Ryan Taylor must be in training to not get on.
