Good point tightly argued The way I see it, a number of bids have been placed and Mike has given them access to the books, those parties have done the appropriate reading and have decided they don't like what they see (thanks to both Fat Fred and Fat Mike) and have either walked away or confirmed their bid but at a vastly reduced price and the fat one is holding out for more money I think this is definately the case now. I can't believe how unrealistic he's being about the whole thing, especially in this climate. I'd have never guessed someone that flogs cheap sports tat could be such a greedy twat.

C.C.C. TEAMS - UNBIASED ASSESSMENT.......
Ayatollah Hermione replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
Boro have a decent skeleton of a side IMO. Huth, Johnson, Digard, Hoyte, Aliadiere, Arca, Emnes and Wheater should mean they're a canny team. If they can keep a hold of them. -
Why is it that people on here think the players......
Ayatollah Hermione replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
Too true. When they had to come through, they showed no fight at all. They were staring down the barrel of a shotgun and willfully got shot in the face. I forsee no fight when they're getting kicked about by Frankie Fuckwit of Derby on a Wednesday night. -
They'll have probably signed the entire Barcelona strikeforce by then.

Is the question 'what would you get from shagging Soccermom?'

My favourite scene in the whole show is Stringer and Avon, just after Avon's been shot at. Come to think of it, that season is probably my favourite because of the Barksdale conclusion.

This alleged ''financial meltdown'' malarkey.......
Ayatollah Hermione replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
QFT. I don't think you can accurately work out owt to do with the finances because we haven't got access to the books. For all we know, Jonas could be on 25k and free school dinners. -
What is the most ridiculous hatred you harbour?

People that use the word 'epic' to describe things that aren't so. -
Almost the starting line up for WBA?

It's the correct pronouciation of AC/DC isn't it? I find it hard to pronounce the lightning bolt though. -

That's dead on point.

La Roux? Oh well, whatever. My favourite (that I've heard) from that list are The Horrors so I'm pulling for them since it's got to be better than Florence and the Machine.

The fans and the club want to be in/near to Gateshead town centre, a bit like St. James' is to Newcastle city centre. Luckily the council appear to want this too, as they're looking to invest/revitalise the town centre (even attempting to get city status in the future). This is why it's taken a couple of years for the club to acquire the land for the ground. Redheugh Park (The Pitz 5-a-side place) is as far from the town centre as the International Stadium, and has worse transport links. Apparently it was investigated as a possibility, and ruled out. I heard the site of the old cricket ground in Bensham because of the closeness to the Bus/Metro Interchange. Heard anything about that? That's what I've been told. By a few people as well, just opposite the Civic centre, decent amount of space and good links! Good news for me since I used to get in that place all the time as a kid. There is literally no sneaky way in through fences that I didn't find. I'd like to see them keep me out.

Owen still costing Magpies £50,000 per week
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Angelus71's topic in Newcastle Forum
oh no, he's mocking the strip. NOT THE AWAY KIT -
Rather Barton than Butt. I expect him to be one of the first out the door if and when, any takeover happens though.

Like an old 78 vinyl? Thick, Black and Fragile. He and Carroll might be able to become decent target men, I suppose. I can't say I'm too optmisitic about relying on them as main sources of goals though.

Some canny goals there and while friendlies aren't too important, it's got to be a decent confidence boost knocking 7 past someone, even if it is Darlington.
