  1. The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The character work in it is my personal favourite aspect of it at the moment.
  2. I replayed the first one in the last month and it feels very dated, despite only being 2 and a half years old. From what I've read though, this one has overhauled nearly every aspect so I'm looking forward to playing it. With my backlog though, It's going to be 6 month away probably.
  3. Same guy Fitting that Routledge has somewhat of a bad reputation. Somebody put me out.
  4. Well Guthrie back in the middle is good enough at the moment I think. Aye, i was going to say hopefully it would mean Guthrie in the middle then i stopped myself. Best mid range passer we have. FACT. When the second best mid range passer is Nicky Butt then it's not much of a competition tbf. EDIT: I actually like Guthrie as well so I'm not slagging him off or anything.
  5. Respect. That mission in the TV studio forced some new swear words from my mouth.
  6. We line up with the black hole at the center of our galaxy at the end of 2012. The planet will be hit by some kind of radiation/electromagnetic sea at that point which wipes away our own magnetic field which protects us from our sun. I think them cowies were even better than what I had. NJS Stephen Hawking said that. The only way we can move on is if 80% of the population of the world die, and we start being more sensible. It will happen. It's some kind of solar wind that hits us every 48,000 years. All electrical and electomagnetic things will be fucked for ever. Any digital data will be wiped etc...Mob phones, planes, cars with computers, pacemakers, computer controlled machines of any kind will be fuked. If you want to save your laptop you'll have to bury it in a lead box. They've already got technology which protects electrical equipment from a hypothetical electromagnetic pulse, which the Russians would use in a nuclear war. What they'd do is detonate a nuke 100 miles above a country, basically frying every electrical circuit, but they've been able to counter that and some electrical equipment is protected, so it would be from that too. At least there'd be a boom in the electrical trade if I'm wrong. The solar radiation coming at us without our electormagnetic (van allen belt) will fry anything walking....There is no protection against that, that I know of unless everyone will be given a space suit or summat. Tiny amount of this radiation gives you fast breeding cancer. Well how come humans survived 48,000 years ago? That's classified. :nufc: It's the strong evidence for your points that I like so much
  7. On one hand, at least he can't be sold and on the other, this could very well be the wheels starting to fall off.
  8. My mate served the original drummer of The Animals over Christmas. Got a lot of meat for his Christmas dinner apparently.
  9. He's a CB. Aint he? Or are you talking about Harewood/a.n. other ?? Aye, on about the strikers bit but I just forgot to quote the article
  10. We probably don't need another striker unless he's loaded with pace. Christ, I'll take anyone with a bit of pace at the minute if I'm honest.
  11. I like to use my finger to scoop out the filling then use my tongue to get into the hard to reach bits and clear it out. I'll let you decide what I'm on about.
  12. We just offering him a 6 month deal then? Eh? We are only gonna be playing in CCC for 6 months arent we? Turn the page fuckhead Fuckhead? Jesus wept As far as I'm aware the Gods haven't yet granted us promotion back to the big league. Nothing is concrete. If signing MW somehow helps us get back to the top flight then what does the fact he is only of proven Championship standard matter? Quite a few people, me included, we happy to take a risk on Beckford because if his goals helped us get promoted then he's effectively paid off his own transfer fee. The same can be said of Williamson. Still too much of a risk? Well apparently the accepted bid was in the region of £1 million downwards. That's fuck all. There is also the fact that he'll add to our threadbare squad and he's probably the best we can realistically hope for in this league/with this owner. Now stop being a fucking thick cunt. My point is if he is only CCC standard and we are aiming for promotion then spending money on him is pointless no? It would make far more sense to bring him or davies in on loan and look for a higher standard once we are in the PL instead of being lumbered with more substandard players. Simples Nobody knows if he's sub-standard though, it's all assumptions based on the fact that nobody knows who the fuck he is. He could be a good CCC player who goes on to be a steady back-up player for a couple of seasons in the Premier League. The only other CB we have is Kadar who, while he might have all the potential in the world, isn't a trusted option yet. This bloke has done it at Championship level before (by all accounts) so why be so bothered? If we do go up, worst case scenario is, he's a back-up for a few games and he might even be decent. I dont know why you keep mentioning about us signing players of a 'higher standard', we're not even going to be able to sign players of a 'higher standard' when we get promoted, never mind when we're a shit team in the Championship. Are you expecting a trusted centre-half from, say, a mid-table Premier League team to pop down here? It's all well and good wanting to sign exciting young players, so do I but in this division, you need steady heads and experience and Williamson offers it, then why complain?
  13. I have a feeling that "got to be better than Mike Williamson" is going to be a common phrase around here
  14. There is literally no opinion I have on this signing. It's impossible.
  15. I'd imagine we'll get knocked out, unless we manage to ride our luck again. I just hope it doesn't knock the team's confidence, especially with the crucial stretch of games coming up.
  16. If we're adhering to the name sticking til his joke comes true, the poor lad's going to be stuck with it for a looooong time indeed.
  17. The Besnard Lakes Are The Roaring Night Very good so far (about 6 tracks in) nice elements of shoegaze, good vocals, very chill. Nice improvement on the previous (which could be the debut, i don't know).
  18. For those who can't be bothered to venture to .cock
  19. It's not a cat anyway, it's a motherfucking Puma. Those things stride around the jungle with bigger bollocks than anyone else and they don't give a shit who you are, all they know is you have flesh and they have teeth. They will chase you down, puncture your tendons and feast on your testicles before you know what's going on. They would take one look at a cat and it would just kill itself to save the puma any trouble.
  20. Great read is McGrath's autobiography Aye, finally got round to reading it in October last year, was a couple of matches for villa he mentions in the book i remember thinking at the time "he looks a bit off colour" the suicide bids and such were not expected mind or at least how he attempted it. Bit racist
  21. Glad we've got him for our promotion push since he's a canny defender at this level. If he's our first choice in the Premier League though, I'll be a bit concerned. Unless he comes on leaps and bounds.
  22. Give The Thick of It a bash if you've not seen it. Excellent sweary political comedy. Well, I say politcal, it's more about how many creative swearwords they can fit into half an hour but it's got excellent performances and excellent writing all the way through it.
  23. He could get his trombone and be the musical accompaniment on the away buses, I suppose. i thought it was a trumpet?? He's the music man. He comes from far away and plays the trumpet/trombone/right wing.
