More misery for the Mackems
Ayatollah Hermione replied to blackandwhiteboy's topic in Newcastle Forum
They've just got Alan Hutton on loan as well. -
If promoted who are we replacing Hughton with?
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
He'll stick around to the end of his contract and we'll probably be relegated again. Since he got us promoted the first time, he will promptly get another 18 months to do the same, rinse, repeat. -
He's not signed for Forest.
-
Another striker for us to hoof the ball up to, I see. I know pacey, skillful strikers are like rocking horse shit down here but I'd rather we didn't settle for shit we're going to have to replace, almost instantly.

Newsflash: Mike Ashley still a twat
-
Really, just look at the difference between the leagues and you can see why he's signed for them. He'd have only been wasted in our side anyway.

who else is getting fucked off with these..

So do I. I thought we at least moved the ball about the middle a lot better with Guthrie in the centre. Then again, that could have been because we had more space to work in because of the man advantage. You wouldn't have thought it like. -
There's no way we're going up as champions in this current state. What a fucking disaster of a footballing side we are.
-
must be watching a different game.. he's looked nervy and has been beaten a few times too many I agree Guthrie hasn't been helping out a lot, but overall impression of PVA is he should stick* to the defensive side of things and get the basics right rather than trying to bomb forward Done alright IMO. Done very well to save a certain goal and has looked alright going forward. I think he'll work better with Gutierrez though. EDIT: beaten by Stevie, much more eloquently.

This is our worst central midfield in years. Guti on for Butt, Guthrie infield might help our retension a bit.

Come promotion, Lovenkrands is the one striker we have that'll be a decent back-up IMO. Do you really think so? I dont really rate him, he misses so many easy chances, just look at the palace game...yes he has a bit of pace but for me doesnt use it effectively. Ranger has potential to be a decent backup if not better. Shola Should be a backup if we got a quality striker in but i doubt he'd want to sit on the bench at this point in his career. Carroll needs to finish this season strongly to justify a 1st team place but potentially his strength, his touch, his arial ability and the quality of some of his goals suggest he COULD be a good PL striker. I don't rate him highly but I think Ranger is a long way away from the player everyone seems to think he is. I think he needs a full season playing regularly to come along and Carroll's performances down in the Championship don't suggest someone that will be a decent option at the next level, at least not at this point in his career, maybe in a season or two but he's very raw at the moment. Lovenkrands is probably the best of a bad bunch, especially when Shola isn't ever fit enough to put together a string of games. If he's first choice, I'll be concerned but considering there's no chance of signing 4 new Premier League quality strikers, I'd keep him around and loan out Ranger. If we can get a couple of strikers in with a ton of pace then, fair enough, flog him but I can't see it happening.

According to .com he should be ok. Excellent. I wonder if we'll try and hit teams on the break now that we have two pacey wingers to get the ball down the channels?

Pretty Visitors by Arctic Monkeys. That synth intro is most excellent.

Also, I use a device called books to read books.

Very likely that us and West Ham will be swapping leagues come summer IMO.
-
Very efficiently done. It's like we're almost approaching competence.
-
Well, that last page certainly had Moses parting the fans.
-
How long's he got left on his contract? Another 12 months or so? I can see Ashley sticking with it until the bitter end. I mean, it took Joe Kinnear having a fucking heart bypass operation to get him off the books so Hughton languishing in the relegation spots won't get him sacked.

Mine are going to cause me no bother according to my dentist. I can see how that's a comfort to you.

Lovelyhands has done his ankle, I think.

Surely we can do better than that at Right-Back? Pancrate doesn't strike me as a particularly very good right winger, never mind a decent right back.
