What's wrong with doing good btw?

Jesus christ, it's the internet. If it's bothering you that much, click off Toontastic for a while, find some porn, have a wank and calm down a bit.

You don't need experience to get a job at 16. You just need to have working limbs.

I was reading through the Stevie Says... topic and him saying the admins here were trying to make a name for themselves like the ref who sent off Kevin Moran in the 1985 Cup Final was something approaching comedy genius. And 'Whiter than Keith Gillespie' has entered my every day usage. Funny bloke, I'll say that much.

indeed For a supermarket Id be thinking of throwing in things like Good attendance at school Understand the importance of punctuality Be polite and approachable Promise not to wank using a cream doughnut or promise not to attempt to lock your co-workers in the freezers. They didn't appreciate it when I did it and they probably won't now.

I'm just pleased he's got involved tbh. I wouldn't mind getting involved with the lass in his avatar anarl.

It's not like the later series' were THAT bad.

I like how Danger was clearly lurking and felt that Kevin's post about old certificates was the tipping point he needed to sign up.

Ludovico Einaudi's work for This is England is particularly good as well. They're available on the soundtrack for the film.

Got a ton of stuff to blast through on my iPod this morning. Blakroc wasn't as good as expected but with The Black Keys, Mos Def, Raekwon, RZA and Q-Tip all collaborating in some fashion (and there's loads more top class names working on it), you wouldn't be remiss for expecting solid gold. Still a good quality rap album though. Miike Snow's self-titled. Just another excercise in beeps, boops and synths tbh. Marina and the Diamond's debut. Like a decent Katy Perry. She'll be Florence and the Machine for 2010. Canterbury's free album 'Thank You' was brought to my attention after seeing them support Twin Atlantic last week. They're still not the finished article but you could do a lot worse than give it a quick listen. "Take Me Out of The Wall" is probably their catchiest and strongest track. It's a single that could probably get played by NME Radio and the stoodents would laav it.

I think I just Ashley just set his hands on fire from rubbing them in glee. The NUFC team of 10-11 will be the Portsmouth team of 09-10.

Buzz Buzz Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!

Gil-Scott Heron's new album. Maybe the best half an hour of music you'll hear all year.

I think Parky's been dropping acid at M.Night Shyamalan's flat.

My kingdom for a decent striker.

The Internet has completely spoiled me for TV now. I can't bear any ad breaks. Even if I lived in the US I would probably still wait for the next day and download or Tivo shows. Anyway thought it was a little underwhelming. Felt more like an extension of season 5 which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully it will all tie up eventually but it's got a little too overly complicated just for the sake of it over the past couple of seasons I feel. agreed, i never watched it until 2008 and then i got sucked in by the box sets, you are going to be pleased with some of the revelations of the season premier. What revelations. Having just watched it I am just as confused as ever. (I am sure this is part of the producers game plan to confuse us totally so that we will just be glad when its all over) Bizarre, simply bizarre. The smoke monster and the temple are two massive reveals that have been a mystery for 4-5 seasons. What has been the mystery about the temple for 4 or 5 seasons and what has now been revealed??? Same with the smoke monster, what has been revealed??? I'm sure there was more throughout the episode but it's raped my brain to the point where I can't think right.

I thought it was immense. Just finally learning some big things was such a relief. Then again, my favourite part of it is the ongoing mind-fuckery.

Quite possibly all true, but I wasn't aware that Afghanistan was part of either the Soviet Union or in it's sphere of influence. Pretty sure the government was a self-declared communist state and they requested the Soviets help.

They didn't invade anywhere post 1945 - they just stayed in the countries theyd liberated from Gemany are you real ? Seriously. Give examples then. oh dear. Are you pretending the old eastern bloc didn't exist now. http://www.upi.com/Audio/Year_in_Review/Ev...03153093431-10/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...000/2739039.stm Perhaps one of our German based posters can enlighten you on the plight and history of Berlin ........ and East Germany....... staggering you are even asking this. Czechoslovakia was Soviet rule when they rolled the tanks in, despite being a Socialist government. It still operated under the Soviet's system of economy and industry which is why Dubcek attempted his reforms. The Soviets used the Brezhnev Doctrine, which allowed them to invade any country that they thought was swaying to capitalism, as a justification for invasion. They never invaded anywhere to claim land but rather keep the satellite states they already had.

On the subject of AWP, does anyone know where I can get the first series for cheap on DVD? I only have them on VHS (!) and that's just fucking archaic nowadays. I've not seen them since I was bed-ridden a few years ago and you lot seem to be bargain hunters.
-
So did I. In fact, the whole film had a very pleasing charm to it, very strong voice acting and was a very good take on the book. It was quite underrated in the grand scheme of things last year, sadly. I probably liked District 9 and Up the most out of all of those Best Picture nominations. Saying that, I've not seen A Serious Man or Up in The Air yet.

If promoted who are we replacing Hughton with?
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Parky's the eternal optimist. I think it's all the hallucinogens
